I've got to complete a massive questionnaire and then have a meeting to sign my probation off. Then I can ask. But I'm going to ask to work 10 days condensed into 9 so one day off a fortnight. I can't afford to drop hours and I don't want to do 5 days into 4 either, as it's a killer.

Hopefully I can get it sorted next month.

Fluffy she understood a bit last year but still not completely. So fingers crossed this year is her year!. It’ll just be me, DH and the kids this year which is lovely for us we every other year has been so busy.

DS is the same age as your DD, Bap. He's already asking when it's Christmas

Home Bargains have got a lovely The Snowman advent calendar in. It's marshmallows rather than chocolate, but they're little boxes so I'm going to see if a) I can change the contents and b) it can be re-used.

A quiet family Christmas will be lovely, Bap. We don't know what we're doing yet, which is unusual.

It's my mum's turn, but I'll be bringing DMIL and DSIL (and anyone DSIL brings with her, eg her housemate), so there'll be at least 10 of us and I think my mum will struggle to get us all round the table. But that's what Christmas is all about, I suppose

Luckily Chris-Next-Door (actual name ) is always willing to lend us a few chairs (They're a much smaller family)!

Firefly I’m loving this age! It’s like I have a proper little human rather than a baby. She isn’t asking about Christmas yet but I’m sure she will be soon. It sounds like a lot of people but that’s the fun of it! I love big family Christmas’ but this year we’re seeing everyone on Christmas Eve rather than Christmas Day.

It’s the first day since back to school that I’ve asked DH to put the heating on for when we wake up. It’s bloody freezing here!.

Very autumnal today. Bright and crisp and lovely!

We're just about managing to maintain an 'OK' temp in the house (at least 18°), and as long as it stays sunny then we will manage for a while longer! I don't like having to heat the house before October! 😂😂

I do have to keep telling DH to remember to close the windows once the kids are home from school though (as opposed to leaving them on vent) as it's not warm enough to leave them open now. It's nice to get fresh air into the house though.

We're doing a big sort tomorrow. I can't wait! #saddo
