Afternoon!

In the absence of @SideOrderofChips (I hope you don't mind me jumping in, Chips Flowers ), here's the first bargain prequel thread of this year.

Use this thread to post any bargains you may have until @Reastie comes back in a few months' time! Xmas Grin

Still not exactly cheap but there are some bargains on the Aspinal of London outlet site. Maybe if anyone's looking to buy a big present? A couple of examples at the cheaper end:

Small essential cosmetic case reduced from £80 to £40

Mini zipped coin purse reduced from £125 to £63

Passport cover reduced from £75 to £38

My favourite thread! Blatant placemark

PastaSauceHoarder · 13/05/2019 11:26

@PinkDaydreams, the advent calendar arrived! Its brand new, perfect condition and I only ordered it on Thursday.

I'm made up with my bargain, haven't seen it anywhere cheaper. My toddler is going to love it. Smile

PinkDaydreams · 14/05/2019 07:57

Has anyone seen any sand and water tables in the sale please? Just seen the fisher price one on the aldi special buys but doesn’t seem much of a bargain as asda sell the exact same one, unbranded, for the same price.

Cherry111 · 14/05/2019 13:05

I was going to get the sand and water table, I didn't realise it was the same price in Asda! I just did a bit of googling and Smyths toys do one for £19.99 - sorry not savvy enough to know how to put a link yet🙄

PinkDaydreams · 14/05/2019 13:48

Thanks for the Smyths recommendation.
I’m also after foldable garden table and chairs with a parasol, adult sized. Again, has anyone seen any bargains? I looked at the end of season last year but seemed to miss out on everything.

motherofadragon · 14/05/2019 14:26

My local WHSmiths has MacDonalds Happy Readers books in clearance at 3 for £1. Some reading / some activity books. Good for stocking fillers / party bags?

Looking4wards · 16/05/2019 09:40

MrsCrimbo74 · 17/05/2019 12:52

Have just found Typo website, it has some quirky gifts on their sale page, with some pencil cases for £2, postage however is £4 but free if you spend over £25 and at the moment their doing 20% off their first order

lostlobster · 17/05/2019 13:26

MrsCrimbo74 Thanks for the link, that’ll be good for my stocking fillers/gifts for the family

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/05/2019 13:39

Shameless place mark.

FilthyforFirth · 18/05/2019 14:34

Hi all! Just back from town and Clintons have got disney merch at 70% off. I got a lovely winnie the pooh mug with nice tin £3.60 tsum tsums for 99p, a toddler cup with straw for £1.50 and a nice little canvas poster with a disney quote for £2.60. I was horrified to be told that all Clintons will be sending Disney merch to the landfill on June 1st as they haven't renewed their license Shock. The member of staff was really upset that they arent allowed to donate it.

Go go go if Disney is your thing (included Star Wars stuff) good for stocking fillers I reckon!

Oh and I've tweeted at Clinton. I am pretty disgusted by it.

Battenburg1978 · 19/05/2019 08:41

Another shameless place mark, you festive lovelies were so much help last year with my skint Christmas threads - we had an amazing Christmas!

This year I want to go for a less is more for the tweenager and maybe Sylvanian Families for the to be 3yo as she loved a play set at a friends house, even though I would have thought she was a bit young for them!
