Afternoon!

In the absence of @SideOrderofChips (I hope you don't mind me jumping in, Chips Flowers ), here's the first bargain prequel thread of this year.

Use this thread to post any bargains you may have until @Reastie comes back in a few months' time! Xmas Grin

8 metal straws, £3.99 on Amazon with Prime. They've been £3.77, but average about £5.00.

FireflyGirl · 07/05/2019 19:53

Meccano digger £6.99 from £28.99 at Bargainmax, free delivery over £14.99.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/05/2019 20:00

Sorry, Reastie! That one has gone a bit patchy, so I thought a new one targeted at this year might pick things up a bit. It's about this time of year that the current year's threads commence!

Yay for an official thread - was still on thread 16 but it didn't feel right being last year's one Grin

PinkDaydreams · 07/05/2019 20:33

I’m after a bargain priced advent calendar for a 2 year old. Maybe something like a happyland or playmobil 123?

PinkDaydreams · 07/05/2019 20:33

Pressed post too soon Grin I was meant to say I keep checking amazon but they don’t seem to come down in price. Thanks all in advance for your help!

TheGirlWhoLived · 07/05/2019 20:36

Oooh we’re back! This is my 9th year but I strictly don’t start until august...
So I can only lurk before then

CheekyFuckersDontGetPastMe · 07/05/2019 20:37

Just bought my first Christmas present from the Tinc stationery sale mentioned on the other thread.

FireflyGirl · 07/05/2019 21:29

hoopdeloop · 07/05/2019 22:28

Ohh love the bargain thread :) I know it’s not strictly a Christmas bargain, but if anyone sees any good deals on outdoor toys, give me a shout please 😊

sideorderofchips · 08/05/2019 22:16

Think I’ve been around 8 years now.

Eldest chips is now 12
Original thread baby is 8 next month
And would you believe baby chips is nearly 4 and off to school nursery soon?!

woodwaj · 08/05/2019 22:56

Chips I remember baby chips coming along and it cant have been that long ago!

Code VIP30 Is taking 30% of some items at la redoute (didn't work on converse!)

RuggerHug · 09/05/2019 08:08

Argh am I late?! I was having a slight panic a few weeks ago when I realised I was way behind on my usual year plan. Have the cards and wrapping stuff but only just bought the toddler/baby gifts. There's a gaggle in our group/family and the token presents add up. Bought the tiny Winnie the Pooh Christmas book for all the first Christmas ones and Paddingtons Christmas for the older ones when they were a fiver on book depository.

All the grandparents have birthdays in the summer so have to try and sort them soon first.

FireflyGirl · 09/05/2019 09:40

Benefit Homemade Hotness set £19.66 from £29.50, free delivery with code SH4J and there's an offer on for £5 worth of points. Don't forget Topcashback, currently 3%.

FireflyGirl · 09/05/2019 09:47

Polly Pocket tiny places half price, £4.99, buy one get one free at Smyth's.

Reastie · 09/05/2019 10:14

I’m going to need a hugely bargainous Christmas this year. STILL signed off sick with pg nausea (33 weeks and counting) and have used up all my sick pay so zero income until mat leave, which will be absolute minimum because I was on sick pay during pg Sad . So on the look out for spending a lot less than usual.

FireflyGirl · 09/05/2019 10:17

That sucks, Reastie Sad

Bright side - only 7(ish) weeks until you stop feeling like crap? Cake

Reastie · 09/05/2019 10:30

Which is far better than when it was 36 weeks to endure firefly Grin

StealthNinjaMum · 09/05/2019 11:35

Reastie I hope you're well (as well as you can be giving the circumstances). You have had the LONGEST pregnancy ever. I cannot wait for CuteLittleMiniReastie to appear.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/05/2019 13:52

Oh Reastie, how awful. Were you this bad with your DD? Have you found out if you're having a boy or a girl?

You'll have to let us know what presents you need so we can hunt bargains down for you.

OP posts:
Reastie · 09/05/2019 14:02

Thanks fluffy and stealth. I was just like this with dd so was expecting it again, but that doesn’t make it easier :( . Looks to be a boy, which is exciting but daunting as have a dd and not sure I’ll know what to do with a boy! We’ve been given stacks of boy baby clothes though and nearly got everything organised-ish. Keeping half an eye out for good quality toiletries (like Elemis, Molton brown, l’occatine etc) with good reductions as they are always nice easy things to give people. Plenty of time though luckily!

PastaSauceHoarder · 09/05/2019 14:27

Hey @PinkDaydreams, are you still looking for a Playmobil 123 advent calendar? I've just ordered this one for my little girl who'll be 2 and a half at Christmas - I've never ordered off this site before but its definitely the best price I've seen so far! £11.69 and free delivery. Smile
