Mrs Lilah was eating that garden statue this morning! I don't want to put them outside because it's going to snow again Thursday and I want to wait until the bad weather is passed.

I'm not having pancakes. I get back too late to bother with the hassle! DD took a chocolate crepe on her school trip to the zoo and DS made some at school, so I'm not needed! 😂

I've managed to get rid of 3 of my 4 trials today, by settling 2 and I need to discontinue 1. That'll do nicely before tomorrow's last day sorting as it saves me loads of work!

When does spring generally start for you, Wheelie? We had the false spring last month. It's really cold now (though not freezing, but the wind is bitter).

Everything is okay with my family, we’re just having some issues with money. FIL said he’d pay for the high chair for the baby, we only want a cheep one but the other parents have contributed to some things and he said he wanted to. Then SIL’s car broke down and she asked him to pay for it because she doesn’t have a job, through her own choice, and he got really angry at her and then said he isn’t helping any of us out anymore because we all want too much from him. So he won’t get the high chair now. I know it’s not a huge issue, but it upset me. I’ve moved on now, just blaming the hormones for making me so upset about it

Oh no, Lavender, what a pain.

But you don't need a high chair for ages yet, so try not to let it get to you. He may have come round before you need it (or will buy it anyway, once he's calmed down). Pregnancy hormones don't help with being rational though!

Fluffy that is great work well done re the trials , get rid of the last one tomorrow somehow , fingers crossed . We went back and put the bins out because well they can't do it themselves and we love them
I come home from the parents and then had to go straight away to say goodbye to my sisters ex Mum in law Emily , I have known her since l was 8 and he and her DH were so kind to me as a child , l used to see them a lot , My ex bil is lovely he's like a brother to me and has always been so kind, Emily is 96 and in a nursing home in Holmer Hereford, they have put her on a Morphine syringe driver and it is just a matter of time . He was in a state and phoned me so we went to support him and say goodbye to Emily. My sister has not let us bother with him or his family since the divorce by making it very difficult and almost bullying and ridiculing us but unbeknown to her my Mum and l have continued to see him and his Mum a couple of times a year, birthdays and Christmas . I am so glad we did .
Just arrived back and then l heard the little girl l used to look after had just crashed and was being taken to Cardiff hospital on a ventilator, l went to see her yesterday in Nevill Hall and she was fine , she is living on borrowed time but it puts Emily's pending death into perspective she has had a wonderful full life and will be reunited with her darling Husband Arthur who she absolutely adored.
I don't know why l tell you all this but l do , l am a funny one l know but l do mean well

Here is hoping my little girl is better , her grandparents are having a renewal of their wedding vows after 35 years of marriage on Saturday, a huge celebration for over a hundred people and a church renewal/blessing too. I so hope she is ok , honestly it doesn't look good and all this planned and paid for too, l know it all goes out the window when something like this happens but what a time for it to happen. Bless them all .

Fluffy I know you’re right, I don’t think it was the high chair that really upset me, I just felt like we were being punished for what SIL has done.

I ended up eating Lucky Charms for dinner. I was feeling a little off (probably from my cycle) and just didn't want anything else. I've now been on my formula for about 6 hours. We'll be switching over my formula soon.

My last day has arrived. Whoop! I've got a meeting at 10.30 with my team leader to handover my files. I think most will be able to tick over in my absence.

I'm in a fair bit of pain today, so tomorrow can't come soon enough. This time tomorrow I'll be en route to the hospital as I have to be there for 7am. Have to remember it's nil by mouth after midnight other than clear liquids.

Mrs, I'm so sorry to hear about Emily and the little girl you used to nurse. You obviously care very deeply about both of them.

Lavender, good luck today. I'm sure your FiL will come round. It was probably just an immediate 'sod you all' reaction and he'll soften at some point.

DD has a great time at the zoo yesterday. They walked such a long way. She had a massive lunch, bless her! 😂

I've got about 20 chilli seedlings now. God knows what I was thinking as I'll have about 60 plants if they all germinate! 😂

Thank you all for your well wishes for today. It went okay, but brought up some things from my past that I usually don’t think about so am quite emotional. Just going to take some time out for myself now and make sure I’m looking after myself. I might not be as active as usual because I’m trying to bring down my screen time as I think social media etc is what is affecting my mood.

Just sat down and thought l would update you with some sad news . My ex bil rang at 2 to tell me Emily passed away and he was with her when she died bless him. She is at peace now and she is with her Beloved Husband ❤️ .
I am so glad l went to see her yesterday 🤔 it was meant to be.
My other news is that my little girl is at death's door and l really think it may be the end this time bless her innocent heart. She is on a vent in Cardiff children's PICU. I am so glad l saw her on Monday morning before she went downhill. 😪
This is the same little girl who was in the same condition just before Christmas. She made it then but l don't know if she will be ok this time 🤔 she can't keep on doing this .

Ah, Mrs. I'm so sorry about your former patient. Life is so unfair at times.

I don't mind nil by mouth this time as I can drink water. Last time it was the hottest week of the year and I was on a hotter-than-hell antenatal ward for a full week before my c-section as DS was in a stupid position and there was risk of cord prolapse if my waters went, so I was there as a precautionary measure. Anyway, nil by mouth meant nil, so no water or anything after midnight. And I didn't go to theatre until after midday as somebody had an awful tear and went to the top of the queue. Then they were surprised that I had a banging headache later on!

Anyway. It'll be fine!

Lavender, my mum used to have that with her counselling. It's improved now though, I think.

Mrs I’m so sorry about Emily, but at least you got to see her and say your goodbyes. I’m sorry about the little girl you cared for too, it must be horrible. You’re doing so well though.

Thank you both for your kind words. I will still pop back from time to time to say hi, but probably won’t be as active. I have 18 weeks now to focus on myself before the LO comes, so I want to make sure I’m the best I can be to be his mummy. So I shall spend my time doing that. I’ll definitely keep you all updated, I know I’ve only talked to you all for a short time but it’s been lovely to get to know everyone and make friends. It’s such a shame that there aren’t more threads like this where you can have a good natter!

My condolences MrsMad but how lovely that you got to say your goodbye to Emily. How sad for your former patient - I'm keeping everything crossed that she rallies this time too.

Today I had to take DS to the hospital for his check up with the paediatrician. I seem to spend my life in the hospital.

Just got off the phone to Mum to sort out her ipad .
My ex Bil rang too, he was very upset naturally but very realistic , he was with Emily, his Mum , when she passed and it was very peaceful . I am just so glad l saw her . I have lovely memories of going to their house growing up and I have only good to say about her, bless her
Not heard how my little girl is since this afternoon, l don't ring. l wait for her Mum to tell me because l know how many ppl will be contacting her and she has a lot on her mind. She knows l am here for her, no matter what and I don't want to be a nuisance . She is on the ventilator and stable so we shall see

Woolly I'm posting less myself. I'm trying to get back into my creativity posts. I'm making sure I post at least once a day because I'll miss you all! I've been cutting fabric and today I got a new journal and am getting back into that. I've also started sending my postcards with postcrossing again so just trying to keep myself busy.

My kid's are at my dad's but it's 8:15 pm and they should be coming home soon! We didn't get as much snow as they were predicting BUT now we have more snow coming on Thursday! My dad is hoping for a snowday as he's driving the bus this week lol.

No plans for tomorrow save some sewing. I might organize my living room a bit. I've kind of let it go in the last few weeks and it's making me a bit crazy with the clutter lol.

I'm hungry! 😂 I had a snack at 10 last night but I always wake hungry. I'm having a big cup of warm water to drink to keep me going.
