AceyMac13 · 01/01/2019 17:21

Thanks wheelie - I love all the clothes you can buy there’s so many adorable outfits Grin

Just realised we aren’t having pizza and taco fries as were going for our traditional New Years family meal out! Duhhh baby brain!

WheelchairWoes · 01/01/2019 17:24

LOL!! Have a good dinner then Acey! I hope it's a grand one!! It's just 12:30 here and I'm eating a very very light lunch

Seafoodeatit · 01/01/2019 17:45

How is it 2019 already!!!

wheels So cute! we get a lot of rooks in our garden thanks to a huge tree (don't love all the leaves it sheds in autumn or bird poop!) which are in the crow family I believe.

Fluffy Enjoy the rest of your day, hopefully you won't be achey in the morning.

Acey those clothes are so cute :)

I love magpies, such smart birds.

My growth scan is coming up but it's on the same day as my mums surgery so I'm not really looking forward to it anymore.

WheelchairWoes · 01/01/2019 17:50

seafood We have a giant tulip tree behind us and that is where the crows like to hang out!

Awww sweetie. Please do look forward to your scan. I know it's mixed emotions. But your mom will be ok I'm sure of it :) I'll pray for her and for you!

In Harvest Moon I have to fish for a certain kind of fish now. I don't like the fishing haha

Mrsmadevans · 01/01/2019 17:55

Evening all Xmas Grin
How are you today Crazy? The more l think about it you and DH going away somewhere next NYE, it reminds me of when DH & l had totally given up trying to get pregnant and we went on holiday to Disneyland in Florida, we had the most wonderful time and we came back expecting DD1 , the exact DD1 who ruined my NYE last night with her DF arguing the toss over something ridiculous , Karma hey lol Xmas Grin. Hope you are feeling better today m'dear Flowers
Fluffy, you work so hard in the allotment m'dear you are back to work tomoz you say ahhh that is too bad bah humbug! Flowers Love Maggies , we feed them here and they jump up and down or is that Jackdaws. Will ask DH now , no they are Maggies we feed here lol , still tomoz is your Thursday isn't it ? So 2 days to work then off for 3 , brilliant !
PSB , ahhh bless DS that is not bad at all, he is a good boy! You are good too for getting him them, he must be so happy to have them still haven't got a clue wth they are Xmas Grin
Wheelie how are you today after the infusion?
I have to confess l don't like Mary Berry , l never liked her on GBBO and it was partially because she never ever had a really good forkful of all those gorgeous cakes, bikkies and pastries and l really dislike her , sorry m'dear. I am glad you like her though and we can't all like everyone and be the same can we?
Acey , hope this doesn't worry or upset you m'dear but when l was pregnant with my DDS they used to say you could only have so many scans because it wasn't safe for the baby , it was 23 years ago mind ! I suppose it has all been cleared now for the scans to be done .It was a long time ago mind !
I don't really believe in any superstitions tbh . That;s why I cleaned the bedrooms and changed the beds , washed them all and luckily the wind was blowing a gale and l managed to dry the three loads but had to finish them off in the dryer , got the Robin one back on and the DD1 has her skiing one and DD2 her fluffy Stag one , we need new duvet and pillows for our bed, the DDS had new ones a couple of months ago . l am sure ours are weighed down by a magnitude of those dust mites yuk! I try not to think about them and to change them every so often Xmas Envy lol. I remember being horrified when l first realised about dust mites Xmas Grin
Hope all ok , 2019 already!

NoWordForFluffy · 01/01/2019 18:03

It was lovely and windy here too, Mrs! We got two loads dry, or mostly dry. It's just a few bits which need finishing off on the airer. They should be done by morning.

I try not to worry about dust mites, the ugly buggers!, too much, Mrs. It would drive me to distraction if I thought about them!

AceyMac13 · 01/01/2019 18:04

Wheelie - thank you, I wonder if the place we’re going will have pizza as that’s all I can think about 😂

Sea - thank you lovely! I know it’s hard not to worry, I would in your shoes too, but I’m sure everything with your mom is going to be okay! I’ll keep everything crossed for you!

Mrs - I asked my midwife and the sonographer last time, and they both said that as long as you aren’t having them daily then it’s no problem. They said some high risk pregnancies have scans weekly / fortnightly. This will be the last scan I have unless god forbid anything goes wrong as the weeks go by! We do our bedding weekly, mainly because Maverick is a mucky boy haha.

Just waiting on my grandad to finish getting ready then we are off Grin

AceyMac13 · 01/01/2019 18:07

Missed off a whole sentence lol got distracted.
We change our bedding weekly / twice weekly dependant on how dirty it is. We buy new beddding probably every 3 months or so, although we had to buy 2 lots in December as maverick had ripped the inside of the quilt to shreds!

WheelchairWoes · 01/01/2019 18:11

Mrs I'm doing pretty good!! And yeah I don't know if I like that she doesn't take a big bite but also at her age taking a big bite of all the deserts would probably have her doctors after her head. I like watching her cook because it's something very peaceful and no stressers.

You might not know this? But American Cooking shows? Even with just one person cooking? Are so different then the British ones. They are very stressful and anxiety producing to watch! So finding Mary Berry online has been such a nice change.

Also re scans. That's not a worry anymore. You'll only find that worry in the 'no doctors! No hospitals!' crunchy parenting crowd. When I was pregnant with my now 12 year old? I had a scan every other week and she's fine. She's listening to youtube right now.

I do think I need to find another duvet cover set for my duvet so I can switch it out on washing day. I really want to find something in flannel

WheelchairWoes · 01/01/2019 18:13

We change our bedding weekly and change sheets, switch out duvet covers and toss it all in the wahs

PhilomenaNewYearButterfly · 01/01/2019 18:13

It's money in a game Mrs.

80 Robux (R$)= 89p

WheelchairWoes · 01/01/2019 18:15

fluffy I'm actually allergic to dust mites so we have pillow covers and stuff under our pillow cases that are supposed to help

Mrsmadevans · 01/01/2019 18:15

Fluffy l wish l could be like you and not think abut them ! Xmas Grin they are really ugly tooo urgggh!
Ahhh Acey am very glad to hear it is all ok now for scans to be done. I did wonder what with all these different scans you can get done now Xmas Grin
Sea ahhh bless you sweetheart l didn't see your post , l am sure your DMum will be fine , honestly, please please try to think positively m'dear Flowers
I must remind you all that LUTHER is on tonight yay!! Xmas Grin

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 01/01/2019 18:23

I was going to remind everyone about Luther. I bloody love it!

(And Line of Duty will be back soon, eek!)

We have pillow and mattress protectors and air our beds daily (so some people on MN consider us to be slovernly, but airing the bed aids the death of mites!). We wash weekly at 60 degrees too (a Kim and Aggie tip; Wheelie, Google 'How Clean is your House?' to find out who they are!).

Sea, I hope you can enjoy your scan even though it's when your mum's op is. Flowers

I have to admit to really disliking the 3D and 4D scans. I think they're a bit odd and quite alien-like. But then I didn't find out the sex with either of mine, so I'm quite old school re pregnancy etc! 😂

Mrsmadevans · 01/01/2019 18:30

I am just old so we never had these scans and l didn't know what sex my DDS were , thinking back l am glad it was really lovely wondering what they were going to be and what they would look like , hey that is me though.
Wheelie you will love Kim and Aggie m;dear!
Also try 2 fat ladies they were amazing l loved them! Loved Fanny Craddock too lol Delia Smith is my all time favourite though!
Love Luther and LOD Fluffy.... l cannot wait , l hope he is the next James Bond! Although saying that it may shoot me in the foot if he is because he won't be doing Luther then Xmas Sad

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 01/01/2019 18:33

Did Sweet n sour Chicken for tea in the slow cooker , l used jars Shock Hmm Xmas Blush

OP posts:
WheelchairWoes · 01/01/2019 18:33

Thanks fluffy I'll google it!
We wash all our bedding in hot water too as per my allergist recommendation.

Blankets are aired every two weeks after a good wash. We air on the line. Pillows are aired every week because eeew. LOL

Also our Japanese futons are aired regularly even if they aren't being used at the time.

Mrs I'm going to check out Kim and Aggie as soon as I finish my reply lol I'm so glad we had scans. I was a horrible person waiting to know what my kids were lol

Mrsmadevans · 01/01/2019 18:45

Wheelie you have Japanese Futons ...respect!
They are the most evil contraptions to sleep on , l can never get up from the floor mwahahahaha Xmas Grin
You were not evil wanting to know your Babies sex it is just different times m'dear! Twas not done when l was expecting mine y'see.

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 01/01/2019 18:48

It's not evil wanting to know, I just thought it'd be like hunting out your Christmas presents early, being briefly excited about what you'd found, but then realising you'd now spoiled Christmas! (I was a present-hunter!)

It's the only times in my life I've shown ANY patience at all! Grin

WheelchairWoes · 01/01/2019 18:52

Mrs We LOVE LOVE Japanese futons! The kids sleep on them periodically and we have them for anytime someone is staying over as we don't have extra beds.

We've got 4 of them and we make sure to keep them and their bedding aired out in case of surprise company. We also use them when we are going camping to SCA events lol

Fluffy I was never a present looker. But I was convinced ALL my girls were boys haha so I'm glad we found out because I would have bought all boy stuff lmao

NoWordForFluffy · 01/01/2019 18:57

I thought DD was a boy, but I was right about DS. We just stuck to neutral stuff for the stuff we bought pre-baby. Which was great as DD was an elephant, so never wore the newborn stuff, which DS did fit into, so he at east got his own new stuff, ha ha!

I have an inquisitive mind and am SO impatient. Which kind of helps with my job, as I love a bit of digging and can spot inconsistencies in both parties' stories which I then need to investigate to get a claim sorted. I'm bloody good at my job, as it helps that I'm an old cynic who takes NOBODY at face value until I have enough evidence in support! It wasn't good as a child, however, to have such personality traits, ha ha! 😂😂

Mrsmadevans · 01/01/2019 19:12

NO NO NO to Japanese Futons lol Xmas Grin
Perhaps it doesn't help that l am overweight and find it really uncomfortable lol , l have just got rid of my chair beds because l can't stand them . so horrible dratted things!
Fluffy l bet you find out so much from your investigations and you don't seem to be anyone's fool ! I think l would quake in my boots if you started on me lol ! Xmas Grin
No wonder you are a lawyer, very interesting, exacting job l can see it fitting you perfectly. Xmas Grin

LOL fluffy are you one of those who watches a thriller or crime drama and knows who done it halfway through? I make people crazy with that. HAHA
