I love them Cross Stitches Fluffy, the girls’ have some in their room that I love. I think they’re really vintage and lovely, but DH doesn’t like them so they wouldn’t be allowed into the living room (even though his bloody PlayStation is!).

Mrs feeling a bit better today, still a little sick but have took some anti sickness meds. I hope you feel a little better today about your lovely ShakyFlowers

Afternoon everyone Smile
I have just spoken to the DN dealing with Dad's dressings and it seems as if he should soon be on the mend with their care. So that is a great result! Phew! That is a great relief thankfully.
Have a lovely afternoon everyone Xmas Grin

Good news about your dad Mrs. Xmas Grin

Picked DS2 up, had beef madras for supper, DD will go to bed at 8.15. 😋🍛

CrazyBaubles · 08/01/2019 17:23

Wheels Thank you for the offer of a ceramic tree if you can find one. I'm watching one on EBay at the mo but please let me know if you see one!

PSB we packed away our decs and realised the next day that we missed a garland in the hallway. DH has still not noticed that the doormat by the back door has a wreath on it and says Ho Ho Ho Xmas Grin

Lol MrsMad with all your condiment sets. I keep meaning to pick one up but we haven't had a Christmas dinner at home for the last 2 years (and won't this year either if all goes to plan).

Fluffy what a lovely collection of cross stitch. I like the geese especially!
How did occ health go?

Lovely boss sent me home early today as he could see I wasn't right. Migraine hit me full on around 11am and I've only now sat up in bed. Not sure of the cause of this one but feeling sorry for myself today. I had so much I wanted to get done!

No update on my auntie, she had a bad night but is very much the same today. Thank you everyone for the good wishes for her - everyone please keep thinking positive thoughts.

PhilomenaButterfly · 08/01/2019 17:43

Crazy Xmas Grin

PhilomenaButterfly · 08/01/2019 17:59

Fluffy DD would love those! They've got me googling bird cross stitch starter kits! Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 08/01/2019 18:04

I'm glad your dad will be on the mend soon, Mrs. ☺️

Tilly is cute. Who does she belong to?

I love the cross stitches too. The geese are my favourite! I'll do the other two as gifts, I think. Maybe for Mother's Day for one then I'm not sure about the other.

I'm sorry you're ill, Crazy. How are you doing now? I'll keep thinking positive thoughts for your aunt too.

OH was good, but 90 minutes of my day I won't see again! 😂 He's going to recommend dictation software which types as I talk (clever!) and a smaller keyboard so I don't have to move my arm so much.

DD has chicken pox. We thought they had it the other year (very mild), but clearly not as she's definitely poxy now! It's been going round their close friends, so it's not a surprise. Just wait for DS now!

CrazyBaubles · 08/01/2019 18:54

What sort of accent do you have Fluffy? A colleague of mine broke his fingers (3 of them and a thumb) in a bad rugby tackle and was temporarily given dictation software. We all had a play on it - it does not like the welsh accent (luckily colleague is from Hereford so he was fine). For me it muddled up a lot of my words Xmas Grin

WheelchairWoes · 08/01/2019 18:58

Fluffy I love those stitches! The robin is my fave! I love the new layout. It feels a lot more open and looks so much better

psb That is way too early for me to rise! I hope DD has a blast tomorrow!

Mrs You might have a hard time sleeping for a bit, especially if Shaky slept with you and things. Bless you sweetie

I definitely am missing so much vintage Christmas ware! I hope to find some this year. Our outside Christmas lights came down today but I'm already bookmarking ones to buy throughout the year this year to decorate our house lol.

I'm glad they are on top of your dad's dressing to get him fixed up and good soon!

Tilly looks very sweet.

Fluffy sorry your DD has the pox. We have never dealt with them here. (We have a vaccine for them. Do you guys not have that? I think I remember reading you don't vaccinate for Chicken pox)

Crazy I am definitely keeping an eye out for you!

I'm sorry there's still no update on your Auntie and I'll continue praying for her poor thing.

Cathy I'm glad my husband gives me free reign on decorating. Considering I think he hates most of the vintage stuff I find hahaha. He says if it makes me happy he's ok with it.

The wind is wild wild today! It's blowing in a cold front. Tomorrow winter returns! Today its 54F (12C) but tomorrow it's going to be 29F (-2C) I'm so glad! Hopefully it will bring my snow soon lol.

I got my gallbladder ultrasound scheduled for next Monday at 9 am. I'm still waiting to hear on tube placement.

Meanwhile I'm looking at embroidery and cross stitching kits and Christmas decorations online for next year. Halloween ones too!

CrazyBaubles · 08/01/2019 18:59

Oh and I'm doing a lot better. I did my standard treatment list: food (jam on toast), sips of water (although I also managed a lolly), dark room, no clothes (sorry!), bed, medication, olbas oil / vicks, cold mask on face and don't move until the worst is over.

Bloody migraines. Doesn't help that they annoy me as much as they hurt. I am not a patient person when it comes to being ill 🤕

PhilomenaButterfly · 08/01/2019 19:22

DS2 will go to bed at 7.35. 😴

I know, I keep wanting to fall asleep Wheelie! 😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴 I'm sure DD will have a blast! It's a residential, she's back Friday afternoon. Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 08/01/2019 19:51

Ummm, I have a mildly-southern / Midlands with a touch of northern thrown in. To southerners I'm northern and to northerners I'm southern! 😂 I think I'll be OK. Maybe. I'll stick to my long vowels!

Wheelie, there's a CP vaccine if you pay, but not as part of the vaccination programme. We paid a bloody fortune to vaccinate against meningitis, but didn't do CP.

I'm glad you're feeling better, Crazy.

PhilomenaButterfly · 08/01/2019 21:05

Laid DS2's uniform out, packed his snack, Maltesers and a Cadbury's Caramel, doing wash then bed. 😋🍫🍫😴

WheelchairWoes · 08/01/2019 21:36

crazy I'm so glad you are doing better!

Psb Tell her to have a blast!! Be good too! lol

Fluffy That sucks!! I wish it was on your schedule. It's really nice to know my kids won't get it. They did have their titers checked last year because their cousin got it and they are both still good.

My Carer has gone home. For next month she'll be here until 5 on her working days so that's nice.

I have found some Valentine's garlands! I'll share some photos with you guys this evening when I get it up. I'm looking for some lights to hang along the ceiling in my front room and I found some lovely stars that twinkle and have a remote and I think I'll buy them! They are only about $18!

PhilomenaButterfly · 08/01/2019 22:09

I will Wheelie! I don't need to tell her to be good though, she's a stickler for rules, although she did ask tonight if she could take her massive plushy whale on the coach with her! Xmas Grin She's taking a talking Poke ball instead. Xmas Confused

Mrsmadevans · 08/01/2019 23:30

Fluffy hope DD is ok m'dear Flowers that is wonderful no more typing, you will save loads of time doing that methinks!
We don't know where Tilly lives lol she has just moved in on us, talk about usurper lol it is hard without Shaky here but she did make us feel better Smile
PSB hope DD has a great time and that DS doesn't miss her too much love him Smile
Wheelie glad your carer will be there to help you more soon. Am looking forward to seeing the Valentines garlands too Grin
Crazy l still have the Santa Paws doormat out lol. Hope you are feeling better tonight Flowers . l can imagine the dictation machine didn't like our accent Xmas Grin

Morning!

Great news re your carer, Wheelie! I bet you're happy. Xmas Smile

Mrs, it sounds like Tilly knows you need her. That's sweet!

DD has slept well. Fingers crossed the good sleep will help her fight it. I told her she could sleep as long as she needs to today, so hopefully she stays asleep until at least 8.

So much to do today. Again! Constantly chasing my tail!

Mrsmadevans · 09/01/2019 09:11

Morning everyone 😀
Missing Shaky bless his heart. Our hands were tied with him though. He was a ferrel/stray and it was very hard to get him into the cage to take him to see the vet we did try him but he got very anxious .Our local vets didn't help much . We asked them a few times for a sedative to calm him to bring him in but they were very blah blah about it. When we took our darling Cholly to be neutered they used a restraining cage and that really upset me . He was the sweetest of boys and they must have frightened him doing that. I don't know what we could have done any different. My experience of taking an ex ferral/stray of my Mum's has stuck with me . He was called Ginner , he was ginger of course love him. He had a bite on his head that needed antibiotics and we put him in the cage and he was so stressed out he fitted and hyperventilated . It was awful watching him gasp for air with this terrible look on his face and his tongue hanging out. Hence why l didn't want to have that happen to Shaky. He wasn't in pain but not well , drinking and walking to wee and poo. Ahh bless him l feel so bad about not taking him sooner but what on Earth are you to do for the best. l said to the girls whatever prt we have next must get used to the vets from the beginning. I also think we need to find a different vet. They are not as feeling as l would have wanted. A little bit dismissive of our concerns thinking about it.
Anyway that is the diatribe over l should skip all that if l were you mdears 🤔 🤔
Fluffy glad your DD slept through hopefully it will just be a little nuisance illness like it can be m'dear💐
PSB missed Carol the weather , slept in a bit , needed to we are all over the place with the loss of Shaky.
District nurse coming and Mum to the hairdressers so better shift. Have a hiicdsy everyone Smile
