Yes it's funny because although I shed a tear when DS started preschool I don't remember being so overwhelmed with emotion. I suppose I knew though we would have another child where as now my little family is complete there will never be another first day at preschool.

I'm very envious of all your Christmas stashes ours is pretty sad looking but that's something I'll definitely be working on this year.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/01/2019 20:46

Oh, your youngest child starting school / doing their first nativity etc does seem more poignant. Maybe because you know you won't be going through that particular 'first' again? DS doing something for the first time seems to make me more emotional than DD, as he's 'my baby'!

Yes, Mrs. Except it's rubbish as it's not tall enough to hold a whole block of butter. I'm assuming I need sticks, not blocks. Same as the bloody teapot is too small too. There's a theme here! 😂😂

Mrsmadevans · 07/01/2019 20:50

Fluffy, you have made me howl with laughter thank you! Just what l needed. I am visualising you butchering the butter to get it in the dish lol Xmas Grin and repeatedly filling the teapot from the kettle. I don't know why it is so funny to me ! Prob because it is the sort of thing l would do lol Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 07/01/2019 20:52

I just perched the lid on top! And we used the pot once. They were both good ideas at the time! Xmas Grin

Maybe better used by hobbits? 😂

TheWoollybacksWife · 07/01/2019 20:52

Is it really bad that I'm now searching eBay for a Christmas butter dish? Possibly really, really bad because I'm allergic to butter. 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 07/01/2019 20:59

Woolly! 😂😂😂

If it's like mine and doesn't actually fit butter in, you can use it to store something else!

PhilomenaButterfly · 07/01/2019 21:04

Doing wash then bed. 😴

WheelchairWoes · 07/01/2019 21:06

PSB I hope your kiddos sleep tight!

Fluffy That makes me think I didn't include my wrapping in our count up either lol I have TONS of wrapping papers

Mrs I totally understand! I think we all have that one cat that was super super special in our hearts. Mine was named Darcy. She passed 4 years ago and I still miss her so

Cish When my youngest turned 8 and lost her first tooth? I bawled like a bloody loon. Because she was the baby and now she was so 'old' so yeah it's because it's your baby having milestones. It's definitely emotional.

Oh my gosh! I totally forgot! In the UK your butter does come in giant things doesn't it? We have stick butter here and our butter dishes are small

PhilomenaButterfly · 07/01/2019 21:30

We haven't put anything away yet! DH will put the tree away when he has time. Everything else stays up all year round. Admittedly, not much! My snowflake on the window which I'll need to replace next year, it's nearly died, my polar bear scene and my little house on the windowsill. Xmas Sad

Awww Mrs I absolutely adore those!!! I need more Christmas themed dishes! I need to pay closer attention at the flea markets haha

Psb Awwww I'm sorry your window snowflake has seen it's last year! That makes me sad. I've got so many plans for Christmas this coming year now haha

CathyBigBalls · 07/01/2019 22:59

Off to bed now, sorry I haven’t caught up all day, I’ve been really bad with sickness today. The twins have caused me to have morning sickness pretty much all day for all the pregnancy, I’m just so dehydrated so can barely read the replies but will get around to it. June has got the baby monitor next to her so will be watching that all night, hoping she get her nasty adenoids taken out and she can sleep a little bit better

Morning! Got up at 4.50 as DD has her booster this morning, drinking coffee and watching Carol the weather, I bet you don't approve of that navy dress Mrs! Xmas Grin Woke DD up at 5.40, she's getting dressed.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/01/2019 06:52

Morning! Cooler here today than yesterday, which was freakishly warm for the season!

I've just got on the train to go to work. The joy! I have my occupational health desk review today. I've not really got time for it, but it is necessary.

Wheelie, are you happy with your new layout?

My mystery cross stitches arrived yesterday. I've attached photos. They're quite nice. Definitely think I'll do at least one as a gift though.

I've got a sore patch on my finger where it's rubbed on the cross trainer. Shows I've been slack recently! 😂

Have a good day everyone.

Morning everyone Xmas Grin
Rare Day off today , Dsis is doing the parents for us, she must be feeling sorry for us because of Shaky. We had an awful nights sleep , which is only to be expected really.
Fluffy you must be pleased with those cross stitch kits they are lovely. l couldn't pick a favourite tbh , you must have been very pleasantly surprised! Xmas Grin , it was blowing a gale yet boiling here too last night, strange weather for this time of the year and totally different from last Winter. Global warming no doubt Hmm. You have to do your desk assessment , l know you have no time but it is taking care of you and we are all guilty of not doing that. I hope that made sense, it read back as garbled to me Xmas Grin. Have a good day in work Smile
PSB THAT DRESS DOES NOTHING FOR CAROL THE WEATHER , sorry but l am yah boo sucks at the wardrobe dept putting her in the same dress as yesterday and it did nowt for her then either ! She is such a feminine lady , they need to dress her accordingly MEH. I like her in biker chick stuff too but this dress was drab and she looked like a governess Xmas Grin yes, l am over invested lol.
Cathy hope you feel better today m'dear Flowers
Wheelie yes you must have a look at the flea markets! l bet you are missing loads of vintage Christmas china m'dear Smile, in the meantime l need to get rid of a few Blush condiment sets .l have just realised l have so many it is very very daft! l can feel a decluttering sess coming up shortly. I will try to beat it back down with a naice cuppa tea this morning l promise Xmas Grin
Have a good day everyone Xmas Grin

DD's wheelie case and small backpack are all packed for tomorrow except for biscuits (cookies Wheelie) which I'll buy today and something to do on the coach, which DD will pack tonight. Her clothes are laid out too. 🎒🍪👕👖

Having a ham and cheese omelette, a banana and a coffee. 😋🍌☕
