Thank you for all the congrats and messages on the last thread. I didn’t reply to all of them as I thought it might be dull reading for everyone but I really appreciate the advice, understanding and general congratulatory comments. Bad news is I’m still stuck on the sofa feeling sick, but at least it won’t last forever (thank goodness!).

Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Thanks for the Aveda code. I love their shampoo and £10 off nearly makes it affordable Smile

PinkDaydreams · 02/01/2019 09:57

Tried to place an aveda order three times but the site is playing up and keeps saying I need to enter payment info even though I already have. Maybe us mumsnetters have crashed the site?! Grin

Foxyboxy123 · 02/01/2019 12:13

Thanks for the Aveda code. I have tried several times but the site keeps crashing when I try to check out. They probably can’t cope with the demand, ha!

Elphaba17 · 02/01/2019 13:30

Thanks choconuts saw this post last night and managed to order a shampoo.

Dolphintrainer · 02/01/2019 14:31

I’ve just ordered a hair product from Aveda (thanks for the code tip off!) and it went through easily so I guess their site issue is revolved now

I bought dd four of the Spode Christmas tree mugs in the Portmeiron sale for just over £11 delivered today with one of these Pretty sure it is sent in error as it's not mentioned on the invoice. It smells lovely, hoping when I contact them they tell me to keep it tbh.

InternetRandomer · 02/01/2019 16:40

I’m looking at those Spode mugs now. Did you get free delivery somehow? Cheapest I can see is £2.99 and it’s putting me off Grin

fleshmarketclose · 02/01/2019 16:53

No I paid delivery I did try and find a promo code without success. Dd saw the mugs in TK Maxx and they worked out much cheaper even with the postage though.

NoWordForFluffy · 02/01/2019 17:19

Bigjigs Toys have some good reductions in their sale. They do lovely wooden stuff.

Deminism · 02/01/2019 19:53

Ninjago lego spinners were a fiver in Waitrose today. And hatchimals a dozen in a box a tenner in the entertainer.

imsorryiasked · 02/01/2019 19:59

Thanks @NoWordForFluffy sorted 3 birthday presents

CheekyFucker · 02/01/2019 20:03

Very disappointed with Portmerion postage. £12! I would not mind if I lived outside the UK but I don't!

Sharp email sent.

NoWordForFluffy · 02/01/2019 20:09

Jeez! £12?!?! Ouch!

And glad to have helped, imsorry; I've got a load of train stuff in my basket but am resisting for now as the kids are at an age where they know what they want for presents, so I think it's sensible to wait to be told what the birthday presents will be (and I've just remembered I've more Batman Lego for DS on the wardrobe!).

fleshmarketclose · 02/01/2019 21:14

£12!!!!! I only paid £2.99, came well wrapped so no breakages.

woodwaj · 02/01/2019 21:32

Currently stuck on What to buy my almost 4 year old for his birthday who seems to have been gifted the entire smyths store at Xmas 😫

Alanamackree · 02/01/2019 21:35

Anyone spotted any bargainous garlands?

CheekyFucker · 02/01/2019 21:44

Highlands and Islands get utterly screwed by some companies.

Theonlyoneiknow · 02/01/2019 23:03

I am on the hunt for a bargainous stick xmas tree twig style thingy if anyone has seen one (and knows what I mean!) Smile

Deminism · 02/01/2019 23:05

Argos is rubbish. I put six things in my basket from the sale and then when I went to pay none were available for home delivery and only one was available for pick up in the whole of London.

SleeptightDaisy · 03/01/2019 10:30

Disappointed with the postage at noths too the items I wanted 4 stockings, cat planter and a tree decoration were from different sellers so they wanted postage for each seller didn't buy in the end as the postage was more than the items I was buying.

SantasFavouriteHo · 03/01/2019 10:45

50% discount at Ros Mari jewellery with code JAN19

Alanamackree · 03/01/2019 10:55

Can’t vouch for the contents as I’ve never got them but the Hawkins Bazaar pre filled stockings are reduced from £25 to £15
There’s different types by boy/girl, ages, starwars

purpleelk · 03/01/2019 12:53

These Smiggle 12 day advent calendar are on the website for £7 but just popped into a store where they were reduced to £5 plus the 30% off everything making them £3.50.

They’re full of jokey pranks and work well either as countdown to Xmas or as 12 days of Xmas from 25th Dec to 5th.

We like doing a second 12 day advent on Christmas Day as the kids love the excitement lasting until school begins.

MinorRSole · 03/01/2019 13:37

@CheekyFucker we get that too - north east Scotland so definitely mainland UK. Infuriating!

CheekyFucker · 03/01/2019 16:13

£3.99 with free delivery on Amazon. Advent Calendar- bought two to put by to split for teen party bags.
