I'm just trying to think of everything I have to do next week (boys finish fri), without being super specific, could you post your last minute things to do list? I feel like I'm forgetting things but can't think! Maybe seeing it written here might remind someone else too.

I need to work out what’s left to buy food wise
Sort the house out
Wrap last presents being delivered this week
Make gravy
Can’t think what else right now!

goose1964 · 16/12/2018 19:20

Wrap presents, make fudge, buy perishables.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 16/12/2018 19:22

Last Minute List will be this time next week, Xmas Grin there's still loads of time

I have bought 99% of my food shopping that can be bought ahead. (Pantry/Freezer)

So:
buy fresh foods, bread, vegetables, milk (that'll be next Sunday )
buy frozen Nut Roast (Lidl)
buy beer for DH
Some last minute presents for DD
Money for DS present
Order flowers for DMum
Write and post cards (must do this tomorrow)

Get hair cut (booked this week)
Wash DD and DS bedding (did ours on Friday)

Sort out the Christmas Cupboard (my dishes and gravy boats type things)

Buy hay for the guinea-pigs to last them through
Make chocolate crispy cakes (I'll do on Christmas Eve)

Make sure I've put the reminders on the TV Guide for what I want to watch.

Buy petrol

Plan the meals , do a check list .

Admire my Christmas Fridge Xmas Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 16/12/2018 19:27

Oh , another thing.
Make and freeze some meals like lasagne , chilli and vegetable soup for the days when we're back at work and don't want to be cooking after work.

Apart from DS we're a vegetarian house so no leftover turkey or ham .

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/12/2018 19:34

Wrapping the last bits tonight. We're away to be hosted so nothing else really to do....

Good luck!

dementedma · 16/12/2018 19:48

deliver local cards
ice the cakes (one for us, small one for mum)

giraffesarefab · 16/12/2018 19:59

DD is a very sound sleeper so I always change her bedding whilst she is in it on Christmas Eve.
She can then wake up with a new duvet etc

missyB1 · 16/12/2018 20:49

Make a cake next Sunday, we don’t like Christmas cake so I’m doing Nigella’s clementine cake.
Buy nibbles and drinks for guests coming round on Christmas Eve.
Make a bloody decision about what booze to buy (no idea at the moment).
Get guest room ready for adult ds coming home.
Buy fresh food / fruit/ veg on Sunday.
Finish wrapping presents.

Lovemusic33 · 16/12/2018 20:51
