Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it [thanks

@namedecisions they seem to send me one every week so If I get another I’ll post it here, it’s also worth making an account with them and adding stuff to basket and leaving them there, sometimes company’s will then email in the next few days to say have you forgotten your basket, often with a voucher code for % off

whatwillicallmyself · 02/12/2018 23:58

Thanks a million MyNameIsNotSteven and I'msorryIasked I will have a look at the folding ones instead, I know the rolls are not expensive but still didn't want to waste money if they were crap.

Tiggles · 03/12/2018 00:23

Well I have just made a purchase ready for next year Grin
Lego starwars advent calendar less than £15 in argos, have the city one this year and the boys don't care what 'year' it's from.

Tiggles · 03/12/2018 00:35

namedecisions I just bought a £22 hotel chocolat box for £17 on amazon.
Took it on a 6month repeat subscription so I have time to cancel and it gave a 20%off offer and then as have prime it is free delivery too.

PurpleTigerLove · 03/12/2018 01:34

What's the hygge band codes please? I love a bit of hygge

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 03/12/2018 08:22

Thank you @girli and @eastmids, Xmas Eve is so busy in our house but that does sound amazing. Maybe I can move a few things around.

Jammiebammie · 03/12/2018 08:25

So glad you’ve managed to get something sorted nocutts I bet your dd will be over the moon!

Oh honey your poor tree. We had a similar disaster over the weekend, in the fact we couldn’t find ours Shock Been asking dh to get it out of the loft all week, when yesterday he went up and remembered he threw it out last year! Glad you managed to get one in Argos, ours sadly didn’t have any in stock but he managed to get a last minute one from Homebase (not the nicest at all, and now we have a glittery front room)
Came back to decorate it to discover he’d also thrown out all of my tree decorations Angry was close to divorce yesterday I tell you! So I’m on the hunt today for cheap decorations too 🙈

Thanks for the info Someadded. He only has a remote control police car in the Toot Toot range. I didn’t want to get a garage etc. as he already has them in another range. Didn’t know if the remote would control other vehicles if I bought them, or if it’s a standalone thing and I’d need to get him a track or kit instead. I’m trying to be mindful of filling DSis house with large bits of plastic and thought small vehicles would be good - but only if they’re not useless on their own! My kids are much older so the whole Toot Toot thing has passed me by.
My niece wants LOL dolls - don’t know what they are either. Serves me right for skim reading the threads earlier on when everyone was talking about these types of gifts.

beadyboo · 03/12/2018 08:42

Fairies the hygge offer was buy 1 get 3 free with code 3FREE. Still cost me around £20 once postage was added but that’s 4 headbands. I only wanted 1, but may gift one to DDs running coach and possibly keep one for myself

buckeejit · 03/12/2018 08:44

Don't go ice skating - we did it yest as a fun advent activity & dd fell & pulled the snowman pusher on top of her, bumped head & black eye. The fact there is a nurses office there should indicate that it's ok dodgy for us!

FireflyGirl · 03/12/2018 08:45

Lily O'Brien's have a competition on their webpage, and everyone who enters gets 25% off their order (and a free grab bag, probably).

Page is here.

Jammiebammie · 03/12/2018 09:11

Oh no buckeejit your poor dd, hope she is ok Flowers

I was going to take the dc as apparently they can wheel me on the ice on the on nearest me, always such a worry isn’t it though, and being so busy doesn’t help.

hoopdeloop · 03/12/2018 09:16

snowman

Zoom have the snowman and snow dog dvd with a small dog soft toy for £4. If you use the code SIGNUP10 you get 10% off making it £3.60 and it’s free delivery.

hohosnow · 03/12/2018 09:27

campus gifts have 30% off their Yankee Candle Christmas range today

ZIGGY911 · 03/12/2018 09:44

Has anyone who had their Birchbox payment taken for December complained. I received the Black Friday offer ones and the contents are rubbish so I’d no way continue with the subscription but just wondering if I’m wasting my time.

linetta1 · 03/12/2018 09:51

Hi, has anyone seen any body scrubs, not keen on soap and glory ones, but seems hard to find!

Thank you

MissesBloom · 03/12/2018 09:52

Firefly thanks for that! Just ordered a personalised box of chocolates for my chocolate mad dh, and another one for my mum with about 40 chocs inside all for under 25 quid and free delivery.
Loving these threads

PinkDaydreams · 03/12/2018 09:56

Does anyone know of any discount codes for photo card websites? I’m after a birthday card

NotReve · 03/12/2018 10:08

I thought I had a Moonpig offer but it is only 50% off when you buy 5 cards so probably not helpful! Applied at checkout anyway.

PinkDaydreams · 03/12/2018 10:24

Thank you NotReve. If anyone’s interested, 40% off cards on snapfish with code XMAS318. They’ve got all sorts of offers on, check out the homepage. I’ve used them many times before and always been pleased.

EverybodyKeepCool · 03/12/2018 10:31

I have a code for £50 off a £200 spend at Beaverbrook if anyone can use it?

LostMyRubySlippers · 03/12/2018 10:45

ziggy I had Dec money taken but not complained... not received any boxes at all yet!! Hmm
Had a few emails which I’ve deleted but have a feeling that it said it was being either dispatched or delivered today. Now wondering if that will be December one though Confused
I did get one a couple of years ago & had no issues at all that time cancelling after the first box

Theonlyoneiknow · 03/12/2018 11:11

Thanks for the hygge headband code present to myself sorted!
