Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it [thanks

On the body shop site, is the 40% discount already applied when they show you the price as nothing is happening at the checkout? Thanks Xmas Smile

NewDayBlankPage · 07/12/2018 13:04

Actually don’t worry, I can see what I’ve done. If it’s something in the ‘gift’ category you only get 25% off, that’s not just gift sets either, there’s quite a few single product items they’re including under the term ‘gift’. Bit crap body shop, 40% site wide should be 40% site wide.
I’m getting to be a really mean, ungrateful bargain hunter aren’t I Xmas Grin.

Is the Harry Potter pop up book that was £13 different from the one that’s £22 in Asda? It seems like it is?

margaritasbythesea · 07/12/2018 13:09

eco freckle - if you don't get any takers ebay them. I got £25 for the pair I had.

Casablanca78 · 07/12/2018 13:18

I remember some threads back people were talking about the “Tile” key finder thing. Confused there seems to be so many options though - which one were people buying please? Bonus points for any bargainous tips of where to get one from.
Thanks a lot.

Random question - did anyone buy an echo/dot and manage to sort the free 3 month music trial? It needs to be activated within 30 days of purchase, which for me is before Christmas and I'm giving it as a gift. I'm having trouble finding the right contact us but on amazon and wondered if you lovely bargain hunters had managed to sort it?

Thaegum - yes they are different books. The more expensive is the HP Pop Up Guide to Hogwarts.

Rockhopper81 · 07/12/2018 13:43

Is it wrong that I looked at the Elemis gift box - which is huge for what’s inside it - and thought how handy it would be after Christmas as it’s such a sturdy box??

Rockhopper81 · 07/12/2018 13:44

Also had this email from Lego today - it looks like a standard one, so I’m guessing everyone else who had their orders cancelled got it too?

The nails inc description said a very limited stock.

Gardenworm · 07/12/2018 13:52

Oh I'm lost in Harry Potter pop ups Grin
I thought £13 for the Matthew Reinhart one was a bit ridiculously cheap! So that one is £22 at its lowest? Does anyone know which one is £13? Thanks!

margaritasbythesea · 07/12/2018 14:14

Finally finished all my wrapping! Smile

All I have to do now is buy presents from other people to myself! Can anyone recommend some wireless Bluetooth headphones for me? I'd like to be able to use them for watching TV and for running. I want to spend as little as possible (max 40but willing to go much lower Grin). I jyst want them to be decent and not break in three months

beadyboo · 07/12/2018 14:20

Last call for info on the LOL pearl surprise (at a whopping £29.99) before I just sod it and order one from Amazon.
I’ve sorted and wrapped the kids stocking gifts this afternoon, put them in a carrier bag each and hidden in the loft, all ready to be deposited into stockings. I finally feel like I’ve made a bit of progress Xmas Smile

lauryloo · 07/12/2018 14:27

was there a recommendation for leather goods? i have tried searching and can't find it.

Hubby has decided he wants a new wallet and I thought i read something on here. I may have imagined it though.

hohosnow · 07/12/2018 14:50

@lauryloo think it was this site yoshi

Not sure if there was a promo code though

DailyMailDontStealMyThread · 07/12/2018 15:30

DD in last year of primary has asked for a grey grown up bag for school.
Has anyone seen any bargains or. Have an idea where to look?

Taffeta · 07/12/2018 15:39

DD y8 has a Fjallraven bag which was eye wateringly expensive - she paid half

They come in myriad colours and are the go to bag of choice round here for secondary

I got 10% off through signing up to Urban Outfitters

Taffeta · 07/12/2018 15:50

....I see ASOS have a grey Fjallraven Kanken for only £56! Grin

Elphaba17 · 07/12/2018 15:58

What about a hype backpack like this?

Thread 14 - Kevin the carrot wrapping paper is evil, it's covered the cat in glitter
lifelongfrugaleer · 07/12/2018 16:07

Hype bags are great. If you sign up to email the I usually a 10%? Discount code

yumyumpoppycat · 07/12/2018 16:14

rockhopper I have combined 2 elemis orders in to one box to wrap - and decided the other empty box was to good to throw away Blush will prob use it for storing some xmas lights/ fragile decs within big chaotic christmas tub. Don't copy me though - I am verging on being a hoarder!

Ordered christmas crackers, plus one individual nails inc cracker with 3 polishes in it instead of signing up for vip . Thanks for that (I think!) - they might be nice to hand out as an additional mini pressie to sis/sil/dds/dm on christmas day, and see what colour one they get at the same time. Don't think I am disciplined enough to save them for gifts next year - although if I was very frugal that could sort out office secret santa for the next 6 years Xmas Wink

yumyumpoppycat · 07/12/2018 16:19

sorry the 'I think' wasn't being rude - I am at the stage where I don't really need much else but can't resist the extra little bargains .. I should stay off thread but there are one or two things i still need!
