Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

It has probably already been mentioned but Sainsbury's have 25% off wine including sparkling and champagne. I've just stocked up none are gifts

ThePurpleGirl · 28/11/2018 17:39

Thanks Iookingforbaubles - I found this one, but it just isn't as nice as the unicorn and mermaid ones. I'll have lots of fun seeing what else they do though Grin

Thank you!!

purple my large scale study of 3 boys Wink says 100% of boys like sparkly things and 100% of shops refuse to sell sparkly to boys.

I've just found a really nice kids lidded drinking cup on Amazon. If you type in zoo animals children's drinking cup in the search the first one that comes up by puckator is really nice. X

FrederickCreeding · 28/11/2018 18:10

I've just found these ones too

@thepurplegirl a light up one? here

ThePurpleGirl · 28/11/2018 18:42

Thanks so much for all your suggestions- lots for me to investigate.

The main problem I have is that it ideally needs to be a very similar shape and size to DD’s otherwise arguments will ensue!

Tiggles - maybe there’s a market opportunity there - your extensive research suggests so Grin

Harry Potter Great Hall Lego £76.49 on Amazon. I’ve just cancelled my previous order and reordered saving around £5. Can’t link from the app but here’s a pic

lookingforbaubles · 28/11/2018 18:52

@ThePurpleGirl studio have a nice glitter cup with straw, in gold or blush half price at the moment - you can also add an initial -therefore dictating who the cup belongs to ;-)

I'm not very good at finding bargains to post on here but I've been very grateful for the bargains I've purchased as a result of this thread! So....I'm here asking for help again. I have a team of 8 people at work to buy for - a mix of men and women of all ages. Some don't drink alcohol. The budget is less than £5 per person (hopefully!), any ideas???

WeAreTheWeirdosMister · 28/11/2018 19:37

orangemouth our line manager got a Christmas decoration and a little Chrismas scented candle for the whole team last year and people loved it.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 28/11/2018 19:43

thepurplegirl can you buy two similar ones (typo do loads in different designs, tiger, Sainsbury’s, Asda etc) and give them one each then they’ll be the same size anyway

Drummingisfun · 28/11/2018 19:44

How about one of these each?
They smell super Christmassy but the scent is very unisex so good for m+f.
I bought myself one last weekend at a craft fair.

Thanks again to everyone who has suggested a fun cup for DS. Lots of great ones and excellent shop suggestions that I hadn’t thought of. It really does need to be similar to DD’s as I have several other lidded cups with and without straws and none of them cut the mustard with DS - he always asks for DD’s which then causes upset.

I’m going to order this one to collect from Claire’s and then will have a quick check whilst I’m in town to see if I see anything better.

It’s a bargainous £5 (I’m just going to pretend the other £30 of stuff that’s found it’s way into my basket is all absolutely essential stuff Blush) and it’s lovely bright colours and sparkly!

Notlongnow1 · 28/11/2018 19:48

Thanks for the Boohoo heads up - pack of 3 men's Christmas socks delivered for £2! Perfect for DH's stocking 😊

ThePurpleGirl · 28/11/2018 19:48

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece just seen your suggestion - DD already has one and I’ve already bought her a second one for Christmas in Sainsbury’s in the double up as it was a unicorn one and that’s her thing - they only had that one that I saw or I’d have got one for DS at the same time.

Catanddogmake6 · 28/11/2018 20:02

@thepurplegirl do you mean something like this. This one is unicorns but it has links of others with it.

ThePurpleGirl · 28/11/2018 20:12

Catanddodmake6 - this is the one I’ve bought DD for Christmas which is a similar style and size to the one she already has: cup
