Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

@newusernameforxmas I bought a nutcracker last year from B&M for £6 I think. Quality is hood enough, but more decorative than one that would crack nuts I think.

My go-to place for teacher gifts is L'Occitane.

The stocking fillers are 3 for £28 instead of £10-£12 each. Online only though.

They also do a charity candle each year for £9 - not a bargain as such but this year's is for UNICEF which is perfect for teachers. If you buy in store they'll put it in a gift bag for you with tissue paper and some samples, so it makes a lovely gift.

I would really appreciate recommendations for Gaming chairs for a teenager compatible with X box. The 'X Rocker New Evo Pro' Gaming Chair on offer in Argos for £179.99 seems to be good, but I know nothing about them and I'm a bit concerned that the arms don't look like they're padded so might they be a bit uncomfortable? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Asj0405 · 28/11/2018 01:02

baylis and harding slipper set reduced to £7.50

bigarse1 · 28/11/2018 06:39

lurker here but have picked up some brilliant bargains - thank you! I desperately need a Bianca cat! I saw argos had it for £22 and put it in my basket whilst checking with dh as to whether we needed something else and now its £44. cheapest I can find it anywhere is £35. has anyone seen it cheaper. one of my children has had a really tough year and its the only present she has asked for.

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 28/11/2018 06:46

@thaegumathteth I need 3 of the 2 packs of nerf so £17 would have been much more affordable. How do I track them?

thaegumathteth · 28/11/2018 07:13

@BeauticianNotMagician81 register on camel camel camel and search for the amazon URL - it’ll show you prices for that item over time and you can set limits for prices which you want it to alert you to.

Notlongnow1 · 28/11/2018 07:33

Thanks @AlexanderHamilton and @PunkAssMoFo

Glad all worked out with your order @BeauticianNotMagician81

Fakeplasticcheese · 28/11/2018 07:34

For anyone who might be looking for a GPS running watch the polar m430 has just dropped to a best price on Amazon of £111.18. Supposed to be v good.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 28/11/2018 07:34

Thanks for the Boss aftershave set. Sorted out my label obsessed teenage brother Flowers

imsorryiasked · 28/11/2018 07:42

@bigarse1 can't see any at a lower price but Very have them. They offer £30 off £60 for me customers if there is anything else you need to buy? Or you may find a different code which works.

imsorryiasked · 28/11/2018 07:49

Who had their Beer52 order cancelled? Amazon have this craft beer advent on offer.

SantaIsNear · 28/11/2018 07:56

Has anyone seen any bargains on the Leapfrog Scoop & Learn Icecream Cart? I’ve seen for £39.99 in smyths but unsure if that’s best deal I can achieve as last minute addition and don’t have that much budget left. Thanks.

imsorryiasked · 28/11/2018 07:57

@Drummingisfun think it was you - see above re beer

Drummingisfun · 28/11/2018 08:06

Thank you! It was flavourly that cancelled but they reinstated it after I emailed them and had a whinge. Hooray! I might still look at the advent though as it's OH birthday next week.

Thank you for the Jurassic World tips! Will have a proper look today. 😀

hohosnow · 28/11/2018 08:26

I've left it late but i need a bike for DS but know nothing about bikes. He's a small age 6 so I'm thinking an 18" bike? Has anyone seen any at bargainous prices? His one request has been that it must have a stand. Starting to panic that I've left this a bit late!

Purpletigers · 28/11/2018 08:27

O2 Priority has a free Lego set from the Lego store online with a£20 spend

SomethingOfTheNight · 28/11/2018 08:34

Could I have some ideas please for my 13 year ds. I've bought him a couple of x box games, xmas pj's, novelty chocolates and a book but I'd like a couple of extra bits for him to open as his easy to buy for sisters' piles look way too big by comparison! up to £10 ish if possible.

OldBrownShoe · 28/11/2018 08:45

@somethingofthenight I just bought a 10 pack of mystery T-shirt’s for £20 from Iwoot, to split between 2 dc.

Was surprised that 9/10 were all interests that the dc have, thought I’d get maybe 4 or 5 and the others could get relegated to ok tips (can’t go wrong for £2 a top)and they’re good quality licenced shirts.

They have 5 for £11.99 or 3 for £5.99 on the offer too.

OldBrownShoe · 28/11/2018 08:45

Ok tips = pj tops

OldBrownShoe · 28/11/2018 08:47

Oops, 3 for £11.99 and 5 for £14.99

ritzbiscuits · 28/11/2018 08:49

@hohosnow Take a look at Decathlon. They are a French Company and make very good value, lightweight bikes for kids. They should have them on the shelf for you to take away.

I'd avoid anything novelty branded bikes from toy shops/Argos as they are often super heavy and difficult to use.

Drummingisfun · 28/11/2018 09:15

@hohosnow
My DS is 116cm and rides a 20"S Islabike Beinn. You really need him to try the bike before buying though.
If you want a good lightweight bike look at Islabike, Frog and Squish. Isla and frog are pricey new but hold their value well for resale. You might be able to get one second hand as there are specific fb selling groups for both.

My friend who is a pro cyclist says the Bradley Wiggins kids bikes in Halfords are good value and lightweight so that's probably worth a look.

A decent bike shop should be able to retrofit a stand to any bike.
