Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

whoknows1230 · 18/11/2018 19:50

@starryeyedsnowgirl, ooh I haven't heard of those. I'll take a look, thank you!

WaitWhatOh · 18/11/2018 19:51

Ah. I’m in Wales Hmm

WaitWhatOh · 18/11/2018 19:53

Thank you! Off to look at American fizz and track down a big Sainsbury’s!!

Tailrunner · 18/11/2018 19:53

akmum are the books for her to read or you to read to her? My DDs enjoyed Malorie Blackman’s Girl Wonder books, Daisy and the trouble with series, Sophie series, Wigglesbottom primary books, Ottoline books, Beezus and Ramona.

Any tips for places to look for good prices on kitchen knives? DP wants a decent chefs knife - Sabatier is his preference but I think that’s only because it’s a brand he has heard of and used.

chocolatepudandchocolatesauce · 18/11/2018 19:53

@Gettingthere email redletterdays and tell them you haven't received the email, check what email address is on your PayPal account first maybe. They should be able to reissue it as its a once use voucher so not as if you would be getting anything extra.

Tailrunner · 18/11/2018 19:55

Sorry akmum, not sure why I thought you said DD. Probably just because I have 3 girls.

Alexindisguise · 18/11/2018 19:56

AKMum my 7 year old ds loves all the Tom Gates books.

Gettingthereslowly1 · 18/11/2018 19:56

@chocolatepud thank you for your advice - I will do that now

thetimeisnow · 18/11/2018 20:02

hoopdeloop · 18/11/2018 20:15

I have a 15%off hobby craft code- can’t be used on sewing machines but can be used on reduce stuff.

I also have a 15%off feelunique if you spend over £50

Finally I have a code for a trial set for harrys.com. It has a razor, shave gel and travel cover for £3.95

My Gousto box had great leaflets in it Grin

maybeitsbecauseim · 18/11/2018 20:18

We used to have a Tassimo. I would say the coffee is ok but not brilliant. So fine for someone who quite likes coffee, but not for someone who’s a even slightly into coffee snob territory.

AtSea1979 · 18/11/2018 20:20

@Gettingthereslowly1 my evoucher was instant it’s in the order confirmation email.
My posted ones arrived the next day too, was very impressed.

BestofLuck · 18/11/2018 20:26

@LokiBear the Kindle sounds like a great present. I’m still umming and arring over getting for 11yo DD. How are you going to get content for your daughter? Not sure about the variety of kids books available via Kindle Store. Thanks in advance for any tips.

TheDrsDocMartens · 18/11/2018 20:33

B&M does American sweets also I’ve seen them in world foods in Tesco.

gaggiagirl · 18/11/2018 20:34

@WaitWhatOh B&M have a massive selection of American sweets, cakes and chocolate. I find it amazing that in my tiny town, I can always buy a box of twinkies.... But can never buy things like eggs or a pineapple.

TheOwlandMe · 18/11/2018 20:35

My 5 year old has just mentioned that he was going to ask santa for Lego and a “castle with soldiers and knights and horses and a dragon too” Shock That’s come completely out of the blue. He loves Lego so I’d got him that and other stuff I know he’ll like and thought I was done for. No idea about the knights dragon castle request. Any ideas?!

I will get something as he only puts a few things on his list (this year just Lego (nothing specific) and that) so I’d like to get it for him just no ideas. He’s never been into small world play, playmobil, etx.

CleanHankie · 18/11/2018 20:40

tailrunner try TKMaxx (or HomeSense I guess) for knives. My mum has just picked up a few Sabatier knives from there for good prices. It's not a place I'd have thought of to buy such things but our local one had loads across one wall

LokiBear · 18/11/2018 20:40

Dh seems to think there is plenty of kids books out there for kindle. I think I will have to link it to my account so I can monitor it.

gaggiagirl · 18/11/2018 20:43

Gap again! 50%off everything plus an extra 10% if you spend over £35. See terms on the photo.

Notlongnow1 · 18/11/2018 20:44

@hoopdeloop would love the hobbycraft code please

Muddlewitch · 18/11/2018 20:45

@WaitWhatOh Sainsbury's has quite a big selection when I was in there the other day. I got the DC some cups filled with American candy for £2 each but they had lots of other things too - it was the end of an aisle in mine the whole end section (as in the end bit between two aisles if you see what I mean) was full of it.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/11/2018 20:47

My pleasure, IHope. I'm glad it helped you.

IJustWantToWearDungarees · 18/11/2018 20:47

@akmum18 Pamela Butchart's Izzy books, like The Phantom Lollipop Man, might be good - think some are in a two-for-£7 deal on Amazon at the moment.

hoopdeloop · 18/11/2018 20:48

@Notlongnow1 I’ve PM’d you the code Smile
