Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Loads of alerts from camelcamelcamel this morning on various bits of Lego I have been tracking so worth a look if anyone needs any.
Does anyone know if the white company do any special offers around Black Friday or discount codes going about? Was hoping to buy a few bits but can’t justify the price for a candle!

starrynight19 · 09/11/2018 12:44

Nearly ordered the squishy advent calendar but the delivery date is 28th - 7th December. Bit worried it won’t arrive in time Sad

Notlongnow1 · 09/11/2018 12:44

ihopeyouwitchesareready · 09/11/2018 13:11

neddle · 09/11/2018 13:16

@alanamackree
You can get stuffed penguins from [www.starrynightsewing.com here] with a name or something embroidered on it.
They have lots of different animals too.

Gah! I wish you could edit posts.

Thanks for the link to Monopoly cheaters edition, my son has been eyeing this up for about a year but I've refused to pay full price for it.

YourHandInMyHand · 09/11/2018 13:23

I am looking or a gift, and I have a vague descirtion of it from previous years.

It was kind of a family foodie treat "game" where you spun a spinner and got whatever food it was pointing to. I think it was various chocolates or popcorns. I'm thinking it would be a good joint present for my nieces and nephews. If anyone has seen anything that even sort of fits my vague description please make suggestions. Grin

Or if you have any other suggestion of joint presents I could give to two households sets of siblings that they'd all enjoy over a wide age range do let me know.

All 9 nieces and nephews (2 households) have loads of everything and I struggle to find gifts I know they will like and don't already have. Previous years I've done things like sweet hampers or movie night boxes.

YourHandInMyHand · 09/11/2018 13:33

Ah! THIS picture is what I was thinking of. Turns out it was from Thorntons but looking on their website they don't seem to have it this year.

Has anyone seen anything similar anywhere else?

whatwillicallmyself · 09/11/2018 13:36

Alana Asda have a boys one it is £6 with 20% off under their Christmas clothes section sorry I can't do clicky links, they also have lots of penguin themed things, duvet cover, cup, hot water bottle etc.

whatwillicallmyself · 09/11/2018 13:42

Sorry Alana it isn't included in the 20% off but still not bad at £6, they have it in age 9-10.

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 09/11/2018 13:52

LOL Surprise pop up store £29.06 on amazon at the moment- more than £10 off the rrp

TalkingOrmer · 09/11/2018 13:53

ihopeyouwitches Ikea have small red and white star shaped tin dishes - I’m going to use them to put nuts etc in but think they’re meant to be for candles.

TalkingOrmer · 09/11/2018 13:55

Thegirlwholived can you link the Mr Men glasses? Thanks

Tiggles · 09/11/2018 13:57

@yourhandinmyhand there is a jelly bean version but note the warning about colourings and children's behaviour!

Tiggles · 09/11/2018 14:07

or yourhandinmyhand depending on age you can get games like Scrabble or Guess Who with chocolate playing pieces.

ritzbiscuits · 09/11/2018 14:11

Some great toys in Aldi today, I bought a couple of their 'Build a Bear' type toys. They were £6.99 and they are quite big, I thought they would be small hand sized. In a big box too!

www.aldi.co.uk/so-crafty-build-a-friend-bunny/p/085360245039002

They had a teddy, bunny, unicorn and dinosaur. I'd be quick, I got the last two bunnies, they've been on sale since last weekend. Only the teddy is left online.

Also picked up a Brainbox maths game and they have a few types of smaller Orchard toys for £3.99 too.

Lots of other things, still quite a few wooden toys, their Smiggle style stationary, even kids fluffy slipper socks for £2.

IHeartKingThistle · 09/11/2018 14:24

I need to buy 6 or 7 large boxes of chocolates for all DH's many aunties. I usually stick to Thornton's but a) no great offers at this point and b) they ain't what they used to be.

Anyone seen any good offers on nice chocs? We do love these aunties but there are a lot of them!

TheGirlWhoLived · 09/11/2018 14:32

@TalkingOmer they are these ones from Debenhams... but it kept taking a third off everything in my basket, and I had a 20% that stacked yesterday but isn't today... It brought them down to just under a fiver and £3.80 for the pint glasses

IHeartKingThistle · 09/11/2018 14:32

I've just been on Lily O'Briens in my quest for chocs and they have a 'win for Christmas' thing. You do have to put in your name and email but I got a free share bag and a code for 25% off. I doubt it'll stack with their EARLY20 code but I'll try anyway!

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 09/11/2018 14:33
