Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Just echoing the posts saying check amazon for reductions during Argos 342. Lego quidditch set is much reduced for example.

20% off menswear at Woolovers with SHIMMER20
I wonder is that as good as it gets this year? It probably is too much to hope for a deal as good as last year’s

clairec87 · 09/11/2018 09:54

Just spotted that the barbie campervan is also down to £58.13 which is a massive saving! Xxx

clairec87 · 09/11/2018 09:55

Sorry, should have said the barbie campervan is on Amazon x

TheGirlWhoLived · 09/11/2018 09:55

@Simplyput it's not that one, although I was tempted by it! Didn't realise Argos was 3 for 2'ing again!

It is this one which actually flies on its own (moves away from your hand with infra red or something?! - the 'mystery snitch' is actually on really thin strings so just looks like its flying around!

Thanks though!

and got the paw patrol patroller (plastic tat, but all DS2 wants) for £36, it's £50 at Argos.

Also got these apple memo pads as cheep teacher gifts

I’ve bought these a few times as gifts for parents.

They look like a deck of playing cards in a plastic case but they all have quick little activities on. Some are craft activities and some are things like “tell your child to find something stripy/ZigZags in the room” or “challenge your child to move like the weather”

I keep them in my bag and they’re so useful to pull out whilst waiting for appointments or the others after school club to finish etc

Just an idea if anyone needs a small gift!

thaegumathteth · 09/11/2018 11:34

BuyAgift have a flash sale on some items

Alanamackree · 09/11/2018 11:50

Has anyone come across a penguin themed Christmas jumper for a 9 year old boy. I can only see girl’s ones and owls. DS needs one for a school concert and he’s at an age where he’d die of mortification if one of the girls wore the same as him, or else I’d just buy a girl one.
Actually all penguin themed bargains are welcome too!

defensivejingling · 09/11/2018 11:58

Really recommend Cosmeticsfairy for cosmetic stocking fillers. I got 2 Essie nail varnishes for 99p each and a L'Oréal one for 49p. They arrived the same week and seem very legit.

For Flying Tiger fans, have a look at Hema, they do great stationery, wooden toys (and everything else including homewares, sweets, food, clothes) at reasonable prices. They also have stores in central London (and probably elsewhere but nowhere near me). And free delivery for orders over £20. I just ordered lots of Christmas chocolate and a few stocking fillers.
