Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

I'm looking for a beauty gift for a 17 year old that likes messing around with skincare and Make up for around £20 if anyone has any suggestions?

TheGirlWhoLived · 08/11/2018 19:38

Did you spend £6 on biscuits margaritas ? I’m impressed! But if the 60p off was a deal breaker then I am happy to post my sparks card containing 20% off oranges.

No idea why I seem to be the favourite iheartkingthistle maybe you normally buy oranges and therefore do not need to be lulled in with these temptations

TheGirlWhoLived · 08/11/2018 19:41

this benefit set is under £20- I know it doesn’t look much but I’d probably get a better brand and less of it for a 17 year old

Alternatively I’ve just bought this petite heat palette (urban decay) as it is a very bargainous £15.60! Would be lovely for autumn and experimenting with looks- rrp £26 and still being sold for that everywhere else

TheGirlWhoLived · 08/11/2018 19:41

@flowerycurtain that was aimed towards you! Grin

margaritasbythesea · 08/11/2018 19:49

Thegirlwholived - 5.75! I'd have got packet of chocolate digestives almost free with that 60p.

I was buying the bargaineous stag tin if shortbread which is still half price BTW. No palm oil in them, and random other biscuits and chocolates (although most do have it).

They had the musical Christmas tree tin of biscuits but it wasn't a bargain so it stayed on the shelf!

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 08/11/2018 19:56

So disappointed, DH went into the garage to get me some lights and while he was in the Christmas bag saw a lots of water inside the bag. The strong winds pulled the felt of the roof and then we had rain before it could get fixed and it has damaged almost everything in there including toys and all of my Christmas decorations. I had finally got to a point where we had decorations we loved instead of the cheap poundshop ones we started with 10 years ago.
So I guess now, I'm on the look out for decorations for my tree on the cheap.

On a separate and less sad note, Aldi have the convertible books in. At £4.99 they are a bargain. We had 2 from Lidl for the D's and they loved them. It was one of the first things other people's DC got out when they came round. And with a bit of bending of the straps you can join two together.

TheGirlWhoLived · 08/11/2018 20:06

Oh no @timeformy10thcuppa that’s a nightmare, is there nothing salvageable?

Reminds me of the time that @ihopeyousteponalegopiece ‘s “d”h threw away a black bag he thought was rubbish, in fact it was filled with presents Sad

MaryDollNesbitt · 08/11/2018 20:08

50% off bags, scarves, purses, etc. in the Ness Outlet.

20% off purchases using code PAYME20 with certain sellers on eBay. Boohoo, Music Magpie and Perfume Shop Direct are among them.

If anyone else has DC who are obsessed with BTS (the Kpop band), I picked DD up a silver Army necklace for 72p and a branded BTS pen for £1.09 as small stocking fillers from Amazon last night. No idea when they'll arrive, but p+p was free.

Celeste Barber's 'Challenge Accepted' book is only £11.60 (free delivery) with A Great Read. It's currently £16.99 on Amazon. CB is the woman who rips the piss while 'recreating' celebrity Instagram photos in a more ... realistic fashion Grin

Elphaba17 · 08/11/2018 20:18

Ihopeyoustandonalegopiece- thank you, another present ordered then.

flowerycurtain · 08/11/2018 20:21

Thanks @thegirlwholived that urban decay one is perfect

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 08/11/2018 20:35

If anyone’s DC are interested in Our Generation/American Girl dolls, these Ikea beds are the perfect size. Just bought one ready to paint and customise. Bargain compared to the branded beds!
