Thanks thaegumathteth I think I might go for it as the one I'm looking at is on offer and by the time he's 5, we'll have another 1 year old so it hopefully won't be out of use for long.

Thanks Unihorn I was looking at the large Aldi one, but it was still a bit over budget and I then discovered they wont deliver big items to our address.

Lego City Advent Calendar was down to just under £19 on Amazon. Obviously boy amazing but cheaper than I have seen elsewhere.

We have the Ikea play kitchen and it's great. Still looks like new 4 years on and is height adjustable too.

Unfortunately Ikea won't deliver to us either, I'd have spent a fortune with them over the years if they did.

The Joules Ebay outlet shop has some brilliant prices on gloves, hats, wellies, scarves, definitely worth a look.

If you still undecided on which tablet to buy, they have a great article on tablets for different age groups etc and the best place to buy with links for all Amazon tablets on Play Pennies website. Its a good website a friend recommended for bargains etc. Also has a good article about best LEGO sets to buy if anyone like me has DC obsessed with lego.

Mine both played with the toy kitchen for years, I think it went into the loft when youngest DS was about 8 and we redid his room. Ours was a very basic one which was small enough to put out of the way for a while, it was always used loads when it came out again.

Just read and bookmarked for future use too as my ds is 5 and Lego obsessed so I can see many years of Lego bargain hunting ahead of me. For anyone (like me) that wasn’t aware Lego offer few replacement parts for broken or lost pieces!! So pleased as I can see some of the more unique pieces going missing in years to come so good to know I can replace them.
