Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

My almost 2 year old has suddenly discovered Bing and is obsessed. Has anyone seen any Bing stuff around except for online or Argos? Lots seems to be sold out in the 3 for 2.

Notlongnow1 · 01/10/2018 09:01

La la land everything 50% off today with code 'October'

MinorRSole · 01/10/2018 09:09

I managed to get the lol eye spy series on 3 for 2 at Argos yesterday. They've been out of stock the entire event but now say available for delivery in 5 days. I put them through as a fast track order as wasn't sure they would honour the deal if paying on collection.

imsorryiasked · 01/10/2018 09:40

@MerryTwinkletoes uno and dobble are both great games for 7 yrs. Uno does an electronic version as well if yiu want something a bit more impressive looking than a pack of cards Grin

margaritasbythesea · 01/10/2018 09:40

Home bargains this morning. House 7.99. Tree 9.99.

They look more expensive than they are.

luther How about a smart trike? It will last him a while and will grow with him. My DD's found it a great alternative to the buggy for trips to the park/ shops.
Can also live in the shed so wont take up space indoors ( the grandparents presents will easily do that! Grin )

BlueOooChristmas · 01/10/2018 10:33

Quick question for the mumsnet jury - pomsies or wrapples? I presume they are both trash but is one better than the other? There's not much in it price wise.

IWishYouWere · 01/10/2018 10:56

My DC has just started doing cookery at school and loves it, so I thought I'd put a little cookery set together for her for Xmas I'll list what I've bought in case anyone's interested.

Harry Potter Unofficial Cookbook £3

Harry Potter Personalised Apron £6.99 + £1.10 postage

Oven Gloves

Simply cook box £1

Star Wars Journal for writing recipes in £3.99

If anyone has any ideas of what else I could add please let me know.

Smellybears · 01/10/2018 11:19

Just had a look on la la land site and goods I bought last month reduced are now full price. For example, I bought pictures for £2 each, now £12, packs of pencils I paid £2 for are now £4.50 and a book I paid £3 is now £7.50. May be worth waiting till they have another sale if you’re not desperate for anything in particular.

gaggiagirl · 01/10/2018 11:24

Ive got a Boden catalogue here with a 20% off code presumably anyone can use it.
It's D6F2 it's probably single use so first come and all that.

LikeSilver · 01/10/2018 11:32

@IWishYouWere I don’t know how old your DD is but mine is 6 and loves cooking and baking. She really enjoys making the Spice Tailor curry kits, and making bread. Baking wise she has her own hand mixer, and loves experimenting with the Wilton food colouring drops (you get 8 colours but a big chart on how to mix them to make different colours) and icing nozzles.

Would yours like some herbs to grow to experiment with in cooking?

LatriceRoyale · 01/10/2018 11:51

@smartiecake I have been send a birthday code from Disney that I don't need if you want it? It's for 15% off during October.

ninjaturtlesmum · 01/10/2018 11:55

Not sure if it been mentioned but Poopsie Slime Surprise £7.26 instead of £9.99 elsewhere. Sorry if already been posted, wasn’t looking for one before DH showed DD one in shop yesterday and now it has shot to the top of her Christmas list!

Drummingisfun · 01/10/2018 12:02

I have never heard of a poopsie slime surprise. Should I be grateful that I don't need to buy something with such a weird name?
I'm making no progress whatsoever.
I have got a load of playmobil for DS for his birthday (right near Xmas) but nothing for anyone's xmas presents and also need to do bday for dd and dh!

I've no idea what to get for DD, she'll be 3 and just plays with DS toys and she's not into girly stuff (pink, unicorns, glitter etc) and likes playing with duplo and diggers but we've already got those. I don't want to waste money on things that will get ignored!

RJnomore1 · 01/10/2018 12:36

Ninja that's the slime making refill pack not the actual unicorn, just in case you weren't aware

Beagadorsrock · 01/10/2018 12:43

Does anybody know of any aviator dolls? I have a lovely airplane but it looks like it would go well with a figure inside...

imsorryiasked · 01/10/2018 13:21

@beagadorsrock will Barbie size fit? There's class="underline">tCh1JUQZwEAQYASABEgJ17fDBwE this pair or this one

ZIGGY911 · 01/10/2018 13:27

Could I have the disneystore code if it’s still available please. I did have a 20% off one but can’t find it.

SockEatingMonster · 01/10/2018 13:37

How are people getting the Disney Store discount codes? Do you sign up to a mailing list or birthday club?

There are 2 gorgeous but ££ Christmas tree decorations that I absolutely do not need but WANT.

MsMiaWallace · 01/10/2018 13:37

Smyths have got the Hatchimals advent calendar £14.99.

1stTimeMama · 01/10/2018 13:38

@Unicorn, my son turned 2 in August and I couldn't find anything Bing-ish! The soft toys are on Amazon, or in Argos, but the playsets have fallen off the face of the Earth, or are incredibly overpriced. I settled for Bing pj's from Matalan!

Drummingisfun · 01/10/2018 13:38

Just seen this half price Olivia Burton watch. Could make a nice gift for ladies, I have one and I really like it, it's simple but elegant. (and not so expensive that I'll cry if one of my kids throws it in the bath)

SockEatingMonster · 01/10/2018 13:39

Is this it?

SockEatingMonster · 01/10/2018 13:40

(Link was to Disney family account sign up thingy)

Reastie · 01/10/2018 13:49
