Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

NoWordForFluffy · 29/09/2018 20:55

@Smellybears, Asda and Tesco both did Baileys for a tenner last year.

StealthNinjaMum · 29/09/2018 21:01

I haven't been on since thread 3 but I have just been doing online food shopping and discovered that Sainsbury's have 1l bottle of Baileys for only £12 so that's a present for my mum. (It's £20 at Asda and Tesco and £21 Ocado).

They also had 25% off wine so I bought 6 bottles of Prosecco to take round to people's houses and / or give to anyone I forget.

The toys section had a half price birthday Barbie doll for £10 www.sainsburys.co.uk/shop/PromotionDisplayView?catalogId=10194&langId=44&productId=792996&storeId=10151&promotionId=10329356 which I think my daughters are too old for but I thought someone else might like.

StealthNinjaMum · 29/09/2018 21:01

Cross post! I went to the end of the thread without looking at what came before.

Thank you for the reindeer ring toss game!

nomfup44 · 29/09/2018 21:24

Thanks @chillimice for the sugru code it's been in my amazon basket for weeks but I've just saved about £7 so now I can buy some reduced M&S Christmas spirits instead Grin

Present gurus, I’m after some help if anyone fancies a try!

13 year old niece, into Anime. What sort of present could I buy her?!

I’ve no clue about anime at all and did a box of Japanese sweets and snacks for her birthday so I’m stuck for anime inspired gifts if anyone can point me in the right direction please.

imsorryiasked · 29/09/2018 23:04

@kraggle have a look here
If she's into a particular anime you can search by that too

Curious2468 · 30/09/2018 01:08

What about a set of manga pens (promarkers etc). Hobbycraft have starter sets half price atm

SecretLimonadeDrinker · 30/09/2018 01:27

I saw this offer on the Amazon app. Does anyone know if you buy a gift card if you can then use it yourself?

LostMyRubySlippers · 30/09/2018 03:54

Yes you can use the gift card yourself & they don’t expire for 10 years!

Reastie · 30/09/2018 06:47

Bigeared I put camelcamelcamel alerts on various sylvanian accessory sets and waited for their price to drop, which they eventually do.

Ok you wonderful knowledgable people, can anyone recommend a really good quality pair of secateurs? My mums asked for some but I know nothing about gardening!

FireflyGirl · 30/09/2018 07:13

Costco are offering 2x £20 gift cards for £34.99. It says shipping is included.

Might be of use to someone looking for a hard to buy for teenager?

FireflyGirl · 30/09/2018 07:15

@Givealittlebit - you may get more recommendations over on the gardening thread.

I was in TK Maxx yesterday and they had loads of different brands for about £5.

NoWordForFluffy · 30/09/2018 07:21

@Givealittlebit, I got these from Amazon when I took an allotment on and they're really good.

Trudee · 30/09/2018 07:51

QVC have 2 echo dots for £60 and free postage today. They're the originals and not the new type but I'd been planning on getting them for the dc's bedrooms anyway. Worth a look if you've been thinking about them

Kraggle · 30/09/2018 07:56

Thanks imsorry and curious I will check those out.

Smellybears · 30/09/2018 08:02

Thank you for he baileys tips!
I was going to get he m&s reduced plonk but when I went in store, I didn’t think it was very bargainous at only £2 off? Has anyone else thought this?

NoWordForFluffy · 30/09/2018 08:08

I agree, Smellybears. I'm not keen on the flavours either.

Smellybears · 30/09/2018 08:32

I got very excited when I saw bottles on the shelf in my local then quickly disappointed! Never mind, baileys it is!! 😋

imsorryiasked · 30/09/2018 08:34

I agree the M&S plonk wasn't a great bargain in terms of £ but it was a 25% discount and it looks more than the £6 paid so I was happy that it would make a nice gift on budget.
