Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Brilliant! E-mail sent, I'll let you know what they say. Haha, that sounds great. If I get it I'm now wondering if I should pretend I can't find it. :D

Also seen this for marks and spencer

“We teamed up with Oxfam to encourage customers to recycle clothes they no longer wear. Donate an item of M&S labelled clothing or soft furnishings to Oxfam and you'll receive a voucher for £5 off when you spend £35 in participating M&S stores."

Costco bargain (I think!)

duckling84 · 27/09/2018 23:14

I'm not having the best bargain day today.

Went to order the curtain lights but the code will no longer work.

Same with a white company glitch code that was working yesterday apparently (40% off I think) but stopped this morning

Hmmm'd and arrr'd over the lego quidditch then decided to get it for dd only to find it is back up to £34.99 on Amazon.

I want 3 lego sets so went to Argos to find one of them isn't in the 3 for 2.

And then to finish the day, I've just realised I cannot remember what we called out new elf last year.

Drummingisfun · 28/09/2018 00:30

Duckling how did you find out about the white company code? I've been waiting for a good discount for them and missed it :(

Jammiebammie · 28/09/2018 02:24

@DaisyChops no shouting from me here Wink

Poopsie is hard and not cuddly (Blush) however that doesn’t stop my dd from taking it to bed and she likes brushing its hair and getting me to put it into plaits.
Tbh even knowing how crap it is, if you could get it for the £36 ish then I probably would, simply for the fact that my dd loves hers! Dd hasn’t even asked to make slime in it again but she’s just happy it’s a unicorn. Put newspaper down if you do try the slime as ours was leaking out of poopsie’s every orifice. Another poster did say that ours may have been faulty though?

AUTUMN20 gets you 20% off the Turtle Doves website

duckling84 · 28/09/2018 06:35

drumming it was posted in a Facebook group i'm in (And not a bargain hunting one). The code was at683 but by the time I'd seen the post it had been pulled. I was gutted as I'm also awaiting a decent discount.

Casablanca78 · 28/09/2018 06:35

The White Company code was a glitch and got stopped yesterday morning but it was giving a whopping 45% off everything. One of the few times I was glad of my toddler waking in the night as I did a whopping order and got lots of Christmas presents at 3am! Chuffed as they never ever do discounts that big and there fragrance/beauty sets never go on sale in popular fragrances. Hoping it gets honoured!

duckling84 · 28/09/2018 06:37

Quidco are currently offering 25% cashback on Superdrug orders. They have a nice few stocking fillers for teens.

If I write back telling him how disappointed I am that I need to write back again do you think he will he make it £10? Grin

Also just wanted to add, if anyone is looking for Myla the Makeup Unicorn (not sure if that's it's real name). Amazon have it listed for £36! It's out of stock currently but at that price we couldn't resist.

GruffaloStick · 28/09/2018 07:27

Smellybears I bought this for DD at the same age, not cheap but they were the only ones I could find on the high street for 12m+
To be fair they've lasted well, DD is 2 and still uses them a few times a week

blue worth a shot 😂 never seems to be the same person twice

Bellatrix257 · 28/09/2018 07:34

Bought the chow crown game for my DP’s 13 year old nephew and it’s quite a good price on amazon for £17.43, RRP £23 but since it’s been on all the must have toys lists it’s a fair discount. He’s at an age where we never see him as he’s just in his room playing Play station all the time, and he doesn’t really appreciate any gifts other than PS4 games, so I thought rather than last minute panicking like we normally do with him (DP always says he’ll sort him out himself -the one person he has to sort out- ) I’d just buy something that will at least make him spend time with us in a strange eating bits of food dangling from your head kind of way.

bike bargain 12” Indi frogster bike £20 when you get to checkout at halfords

Bellatrix257 · 28/09/2018 07:43

Also, topshop has 20% student discount until Sunday, quite a good discount for topshop. Now I have massive favour to ask- I don’t suppose anyone has access to a unidays / student beans account and could generate a Topshop discount for me ?!?! I’ve been looking for a nice new Christmas jumper for sooooo long (the past two years!) and I always try to wait till they’re discounted closer to Christmas but this technique never works and my size is always out of stock! Topshop has a gorgeous fairlisle one I would LOVE but I can’t justify paying full price, so if anyone could help I would be eternally grateful!!!! (Also they have gorgeous 3 for 2 socks which I normally get for my sister as a little yearly thing!!)

I have been on this thread for the past two years (just name changed) so promise I’m not just a code scrounger!

Girlsnightin · 28/09/2018 07:43

Cashmere Gloves purchased!

ektomarie · 28/09/2018 07:49

I’ll be impressed if White Company honours a glitch but I wouldn’t bet on it. If it went viral, they probably can’t afford the loss.

sepsisandAKI · 28/09/2018 07:50

Where are the cashmere gloves please?

sepsisandAKI · 28/09/2018 07:55

@Bellatrix257 have pmd you

TheOwlandMe · 28/09/2018 07:57

@amellybears - B&M (or maybe it was home bargains?) does big chunky crayons also. My two have used since under 1 to scribble and they were able to hold ok and make marks etc. I’d also recommend their big blank notepads (a3 size) so more surface area for them to use. Other art stuff undersupervison i’d use glue (even if you put on the paper first) and they can stick down things like feathers, pom pom balls, even torn up bits of paper. Mine loved that sort of thing. I’d get a stash of blank paper plates as well as they find that fun rather than same old paper all the time. Look at b&m, home bargains and the range for stocks off craft supplies. Aldi/Lidl also do big packets of coloured paper and Ikea has rolls do blank which is great for bigger projects. Then for mess free fun those aqua doodles are fab!

Bellatrix257 · 28/09/2018 07:59

@sepsisandAKI thank you soooooo much you are a star!!!

Smellybears · 28/09/2018 08:02

@TheOwlandMe thank you so much, lots of ideas there which are very much appreciated 😁

Spam88 · 28/09/2018 08:13

We just have the chunky crayola crayons, a box of 8 is £2odd on amazon. I wouldn't bother with a colouring book at that age, we just have a never ending roll of paper from amazon.

CarrotVan · 28/09/2018 08:18

@sepsisandAKI you can get £10 of the signature fingerless gloves at Turtle Doves
