Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Woo! Very happy HP Lego is reduced. In case anyone missed it, the Lego Brickheadz Harry & Hedwig is £10

MsMiaWallace · 26/09/2018 13:30

Amazon seems to be down at the mo Sad

Pebblesandfriends · 26/09/2018 13:35

@changingagain I'd go with Playdough for nursery parties, both girls and boys like that

Biddlyboo · 26/09/2018 13:55

Long time lurker on these threads, thanks all, I finally have a bargain to add this year!
Oakley apparel sale some lovely tshirts, hats, gloves etc for 50%off great for older teens for eg.

Squ1ggle · 26/09/2018 14:18

Thanks to whoever posted about the Oakley sale. My dad loves their tshirts but at £55 full price they're too expensive. I've just managed to get one for £25 (including 10% student discount) and free postage. Thrilled with that, he's so hard to buy for!

Drummingisfun · 26/09/2018 14:35

I really want the led curtain light thing from amazon. But I don't have curtain pole so can't hang from that and I don't think dh would be impressed if I made holes all along the wall Hmm

Biddlyboo · 26/09/2018 14:35

You’re welcome squ1ggle Smile
I meant to mention it’s free delivery too

Biddlyboo · 26/09/2018 14:37

@drummingisfun you can get command strip fairy light hooks that stick to walls and glass, I’ve used them for net lights on patio doors etc

FilthyforFirth · 26/09/2018 14:40

I've got one that isnt toy related! I was just emailed a code for a further 12.5% off of Spode crockery outlet Seconds. The code is VIPEVENT and it seems to work across the whole site. I just got some Italian Blue plates and mugs for my SIL :). Sorry I dont know how to do short links...

www.spode.co.uk/seconds-outlet.html

FilthyforFirth · 26/09/2018 14:44

It also works on the Christmas Tree range that everyone loved a thread ago :)

margaritasbythesea · 26/09/2018 14:54

Can anyone ehlp me with a squishy related question, please?

DD really wants one of the 25cm fruit squishies, preferably a watermelon, but I can´t find one which states that it´s CE tested and safe. There are plenty on ebay and amazon but no mention of CE mark so it appears those sites don´t oblige their sellers to conform to this.

If anyone knows how I can get a safe one, or sees one instore, can you post please?

margaritasbythesea · 26/09/2018 14:56

help me, even. Blush

WhirlwindHugs · 26/09/2018 14:59

If anyone is thinking about fancy dress clothes, tk maxx had an amazing selection today. £15-20 generally but look like they cost more. I'll post some pictures later

NoHufflefucksGivenMugglefucker · 26/09/2018 15:01

R.e amazon

I emailed and said I want the £5 free when I top up £40

He emailed back and said here is £5 credit as a good will gesture.. I couldn’t find it so emailed again and asked how to find it. He said “sorry for the trouble, it is there , but I will give you £5 voucher again anyway for your hassle”

I go check and there’s £10 credit in my account. While I am doing so , the banner pops up offering me the original £5 free credit if I top up £40.

So off I go and top up £40. And it totals me £55 in my account!

Can’t believe my luck! Amazon are awesome. Now i don’t know what to buy!?

(Enjoying the paragraphs that have returned😂 can you tell ?!)

Beagadorsrock · 26/09/2018 15:10

The tinc advent calendar is out but for £28 I am not that interested. Someone might be in the flash sale for headphones etc at half price

gaggiagirl · 26/09/2018 15:13

margarita asda living were selling such squishies yesterday and I think Smyths. I may be wrong but I think they will all be CE as those major retailers can't sell toys that aren't.

margaritasbythesea · 26/09/2018 15:26

Thanks gaggiagirl. I'll have a look at both those.

SimplyPut · 26/09/2018 15:37

Smyths also have 3for2 on squishies that can be used alongside 10off50.

Tildero · 26/09/2018 15:42

Toot toot advent calendar is it worth it for a one year old? Or should I save my money and just get her a milky bar button one??! Smile

vroc81 · 26/09/2018 15:54

We’ve had toot toot calanders two years running - animals and the vehicles but only paid between £10 - £15 for them (sorry can’t remember exactly) they were worth it for that as she uses the train and the reindeer on her track but only if you have other sets to use it with?

imsorryiasked · 26/09/2018 16:17

If anyone is buying more than one Smiggle advert calendar they're on multibuy until Friday.

Reastie · 26/09/2018 16:19

Margarita I’m avoiding squishies after the potential issues with them. I’ve told dd she won’t be getting any because of this —it was a great excuse to get rid of them too—. I’m not sure which ones are safe and which aren’t.

Dilliedally not particularly cheap but dd has had lovely pjs from the white company and aren’t snug fitting.

SimplyPut · 26/09/2018 16:35

Reastie we don't have any yet... what issues? Confused

Changingagain · 26/09/2018 16:54

Thanks for the nursery present suggestions. I think I'll start picking things up when I see the deals and keeping a few in the cupboard ready.

Tildero Ds was given the toot toot drivers one last year when he was 2 and we really weren't impressed. There's a sleigh but the rest is mainly road signs. He plays with toot toots a fair bit but has never shown any interest in the bits from the calendar.
The year before he had the playmobil 123 Christmas woodland one. He played with those ones straight away and still does.

WhirlwindHugs · 26/09/2018 16:57

Tk maxx, vehicle dress up, firetruck digger etc £14.99 and princess dress up around £19.99 - really great looking quality and dress up I haven't seen before. Lots of different colour dresses etc.
