Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link and the and then last word and the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me k ow if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

mamapants · 17/09/2018 10:14

My tkmax had lots of Sylvania families reduced today.
And Tesco had a Playmobil 123 set for £20 its £30 on Amazon. Police car, bike and helicopter and base. Got it for DS2.

OhHolyFuck · 17/09/2018 10:15

mamapants · 17/09/2018 10:18

The illustrated philosophers stone is down to £7.50 in Tesco as well if anyone was looking for it.

woodwaj · 17/09/2018 10:30

Thanks for the Argos bush turntable. The needle on our crossley is broke due to an enthusiastic 3 yr old. I thought it give this one ago instead of replacing the needle as it's got better reviews. Hoping it's delivered in a box so it's hidden!!

Smellybears · 17/09/2018 12:07

@Jammiebammie buy them! It looks like 100% of profits goes to Alder Hey Smile my son is there every four weeks and has been in a few times in between, all staff there are lovely and so caring. I’ll definately be popping into store this week to purchase! Grin

princessbear80 · 17/09/2018 12:19

Girlsnightin · 17/09/2018 12:27

Also thanks for the Bush turntable! Great pressie

imsorryiasked · 17/09/2018 12:32

The Works have various sets of English tea in tins for £4/5 here
Good if anyone is buying for overseas relatives?
Also if you're quick and buy before 3pm use code NOW20 for 20% off.

Girlsnightin · 17/09/2018 12:33

Alder Hay pjs purchased!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 17/09/2018 12:49

@mamapants which version is it? Hardback?

mamapants · 17/09/2018 13:17

No it's the soft cover, it's kind of plasticky as opposed to paperback yellowhat. I have the other two in hardback versions but am happy enough with this one.
Illustrated Tales of Beedle the Bard is the release for this winter and is slightly reduced on pre-order from Amazon.

mamapants · 17/09/2018 13:18

£16.25 rather than £25 for Beedle the Bard

duckling84 · 17/09/2018 13:20

Thank you @woodwaj 3 adults, 3 children's and 1 dog pyjamas purchased 😊 dh and dd are going to hate me 😂

BestofLuck · 17/09/2018 13:22

I noticed Home Bargains had a set of 3 Disney Infinity Star Wars figures reduced from about £17 (I think Hmm). Left my phone at home otherwise would have taken pic. Could not find online.

Also saw The Works are selling a Judy Blume set of 5 books for £10 which I’ll get for my 11 year old. Noticed it’s only £7.99 online so will order from there. Using code LIBRARY15 takes a further 15% off so down to £6.79. Would recommend these books for young girls just starting to grow up. Am attempting to link for first time, so hope it works based on @Reastie’s tips! The Book People.

toptomatoes · 17/09/2018 13:43

We bought that Bush turntable for our 8-year-olds birthday and it’s great!

eastmidswarwicknightnanny · 17/09/2018 13:44

Our boots had Lego brick heads in clearance section for £2.50 each but scan at 3 for 2!!! These are £10-13 each it was superhero and star wars one they only had 3 different ones but plenty of them

Alanamackree · 17/09/2018 13:51

@fraggle84 In previous years the Disney store has had an offer of free delivery in late Oct/ early nov if you want to hang on a bit longer.

starryeyedsnowgirl · 17/09/2018 14:02

The kids felt Christmas trees are in stock online at hobby craft for £6. I know these have been popular in previous years. They have other nice Christmas craft stuff too. Last year (I haven't looked this year) it was one of the places you could use vouchers from zeek.

felt tree

margaritasbythesea · 17/09/2018 14:18

Following eastmidwaricksnightnanny´s suggestion I had a look on the Boots webiste. There is quite a lot of Lego on 3 for 2 online here.

A word of warning though. Some of it is competitively priced but some is overpriced, so you´d need to check your sets first.

It does not include the Lego advent calendars.

margaritasbythesea · 17/09/2018 14:21

And no Brick Heads either.

thaegumathteth · 17/09/2018 14:31

Asda online seem to have some Christmas clothes in

Singingitoverandoverandover · 17/09/2018 14:48

My home bargains was filling up the Christmas aisle today. Seen some nice mugs and Christmas cake decorations.
Also second the fact that their initial range is lovely. Mugs with letter initial on and little pillows etc. Some really good 99p stocking fillers in the toy section in the form of little puzzle things and boxed card games etc.
Found annuals 2019 for £2.99 . Minecraft etc.

My second closest Tesco store has added more to the new yellow bargain rack areas. Playmobil school buses still there £10 and they had playmobil pirate ships, and playmobil jeep type car with quad bike towing on the back. In Tesco reduced section they had reduced orchard games, Lego brickheads Star Wars, BAby vtech turtle £29 down to £15. Sandpits £4 and ball pits £2. Def worth scanning things in Tesco as a lot of the time if it has a yellow clearance sticker, it scans cheaper than it’s meant to be x

Spam88 · 17/09/2018 15:35

Just thought I'd share my bargains for the day. Did my best to clear M&S out of reduced booze (priced £6-9). Harry Potter tree decorations £5 each, not particularly bargainous but they're amazing so 🤷‍♀️ I'll split the Hagrid and hogwarts express and give to two of my friends. The jewellery might make a nice stocking filler, or good for advent calendars. Also saw these Mickey Mouse fairy lights for £1 which aren't too ostentatiously Disney and are pretty cute.
