I’m sure I read on here the other day that sainsburys will be having further 25% off sale clothing soon?

Smellybears · 07/08/2018 19:33

@Filthy I bought a few bits from sainsburys, I bought a wooden jigsaw the other day for £1.60, a knock block thing for around £4 and some plastic stacking cups for around £2, and wooden train set for £6. I love their toy sales! I’ve put them away for Christmas and birthday for my little one, he will be 1 in January Smile

Llamacorn · 07/08/2018 19:38

This is my favourite mn thread by far, look forward to it every year - thanks @Reastie

Have to start my first post off though by apologising profusely to RJnomore1 - I was supposed to send you exploding kittens - not sure if you remember our vhats - I actually ended up in the hospital for weeks! No excuse, could have had dh post it to you, but the days turned into weeks/months and now a year! Very embarrassed and very sorry Blush (and it’s still in my cupboard 🙈🙈)

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/08/2018 19:39

I think the Tu 25% off is 14 August. They some times sneak a change if the date is to heavily leaked. I'm keeping an eye from Friday

FabulouslyFab · 07/08/2018 19:51

Total absolute placemarking! This thread is fab 👍

FilthyforFirth · 07/08/2018 19:52

@smellybears, it is really good isn't it?! I regret not getting more now, I might have to go back. I was at a different one to my usual store, it was a huge superstore and they had so much stuff, all at least 50% off. Worth checking out if you have a Sainsburys nearby!

StubbleTurnips · 07/08/2018 20:10

Not sure who was looking for crockery this year but there's a small selection here of Spode sale:

SisterMoonshine · 07/08/2018 20:18

Oh yes! These threads have been a godsend previous years. Ali express, fingerlights etc ..bring it on!
🎅🏻

FilthyforFirth · 07/08/2018 20:28

It was me @stubbleturnips, thanks for the link!

Polkapjs · 07/08/2018 20:34

Magpie stuff is amazing. I want it all for myself. May have bought a set of espresso cups Blush

ladyvimes · 07/08/2018 20:34

Hey living this thread already!
Not a bargain exactly but Polly Pockets are bringing out a new range of the old fashioned compacts (with a modern update). They’re currently on pre-order on amazon and some sets are already listing as best sellers despite not being released yet!
I’ve preordered a couple of sets for dd as they’re inexpensive and I think they’re going to be massive this year!

MrsPworkingmummy · 07/08/2018 20:44

Love this thread!

Can't remember who mentioned signing up to Hex bug for 30% off, but I signed up and then never received an email notification or anything at all. I don't suppose you can remember how long you had to wait?

HuglessDuglas · 07/08/2018 21:18

@coffeeandennui thanks for that link - plenty of quirky and quirky medical students in the family so lots of little extras just bought

SheStoodInTheStorm · 07/08/2018 21:36

Thanks for the heads up about the Polly Pockets! Have ordered a couple of sets. I've got one of mine DD plays with but the newer ones look a bit easier to play with! Plus she doesn't play with it properly and I'm worried she'll love the tiny parts

Iwannasnack · 07/08/2018 21:38

God I loved Polly pockets. May have to order for myself!!

duvetfan · 07/08/2018 21:43

Thanks for the magpie link and the scooters (sorry phone keeps crashing when I scroll back for names. I am rubbish at finding bargains but I will post anything I find. I've never started shopping this early but I feel calmer already. Thanks so much everyone. It's fabulous. Flowers

SheStoodInTheStorm · 07/08/2018 21:47

DD will be 5 in a couple of months and then Christmas is upon us! If any of you have any ideas what to get that would be great. She has way too many toys, I need to do a good clear out!

PrincessConsuelaBannanaHammock · 07/08/2018 21:48

Shamelessly place marking 🙈 have just bought a new house so things will be a bit tighter this Christmas!!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 07/08/2018 21:52

@ladyvimes, thank you so much for the Polly Pocket heads up. My DD will adore the little cinema set and she won't expect it at all because we're generally quite against adding more teeny plastic things to the householdGrin

Happy to see so many Magpie sale success stories too. I can't tell any real world friends in case I give them one of the items so I it's nice to see other people getting as excited as me about the bargainsBlush

I love this thread!!!

NoWordForFluffy · 07/08/2018 22:03

@SheStoodInTheStorm, DD is just-5 and I'm going for Sylvanian Families as it's something which can be added to over the years. That's from Santa. We are getting her a bookcase full of books as she loves reading (and is scarily good at it, for her age!). Plus other bits and bobs of games etc.

NoWordForFluffy · 07/08/2018 22:04

Oh, and we started the toy sort and cull tonight. It'll be a week long project, I fear!

Catmint · 07/08/2018 22:14

Thank you for the thread Reastie.

Thanks for the Magpie link!

newsparklythings · 07/08/2018 22:25

Not a bargain but I'm just going to leave this here for other Sylvanian fans...

The Works have Hallmark Christmas card sets at really reduced prices - I got some lovely ones for grandparents reduced from £6.99 to £1.50.
