I have had lists with requests such as
Light bulbs
Ready salted crisps
Hand sanitizer
Pork scratchings
A stick
My favourite- Evian water in a Buxton bottle!

"New wool, patterns and knitting needles"

I don't understand why this is weird. My DS2 has knit for years and has just turned 8.

Love the Apple cutter. Thats not a bad idea actually!

I'm quite sad there's nothing wacky on their lists!

Solasum · 13/12/2017 11:10

@pananny Purple pram for the babies?

Fitzsimmons · 13/12/2017 11:11

PanannyPanoo a purple pram for two babies? Plus something about a horse and maybe a train?

Solasum · 13/12/2017 11:11

Sorry, for ‘two babies’

Solasum · 13/12/2017 11:12

Tail of the horsey

HoneyDragon · 13/12/2017 11:14

Purple twin pram? Not sure about the train?

Lancelottie · 13/12/2017 11:15

'A train tale of Thomas
Light purple pram
Purple pram for the babies'

Good luck!

Lancelottie · 13/12/2017 11:17

Ah. yes. Could be a 'pin the tail on the horse' game. Usually done with large sheet of paper and drawing pins.

If feeling creative, could do 'pin the nose on Rudolf'.

Fitzsimmons · 13/12/2017 11:22

Mumsnet is ace. All these people trying to decipher the scribbles of a child they've never met so she gets what she wants for Christmas Xmas Grin

Lancelottie · 13/12/2017 11:29

Do you have a horse? Does it need tail lights?

ArcheryAnnie · 13/12/2017 11:31

A train
Tail of the horse

MelaniaMacron · 13/12/2017 11:33

DS wanted an orange bath towel. I bought him one, he was delighted beyond words Grin

SherbertFizz · 13/12/2017 11:44

Perhaps a rainbow-tailed my little pony? 'Rainbo tail of the horsey'
Light purple pram
Purple pram for two babies

PanannyPanoo · 13/12/2017 11:54

Bless you all. You are all very lovely. I managed with the purple pram for 2 babies. She is only getting one not 8 though.
Rain and tail horn of the horsey doesn't seem to be stocked at Amazon!
She will be happy with the pram though!
Thank you all so much. Sending Xmas cheer to one and all!

A mini oven.

9 yr old DD has put this at the top of her list.

Apparently there is some sort of Japanese vlogger craze for tiny little real ovens that you cook tiny real food on in tiny little fucking pots.

But where this tiny shit comes from nobody knows. I have spent many an eve scouring t'internet for it.

Why cant she just be in to unicorns like normal 9 yr olds?

JuniUmiZoomi · 13/12/2017 12:06

My DD told my mum she wants a 'rusty tiger castle'. We have no idea what this means.

Is that Fort Boyard Juni? Does she watch it on CBBC?

It is rusty coloured, a castle and has tigers in it.

TheHeraldOfAndraste · 13/12/2017 12:38

DS2 (3yo) "A fast dinosaur. A boat. And some ducks and rocks for it to crash into."

No idea wtf a fast dinosaur is.

Roomba · 13/12/2017 12:41

When DS1 was 5, all he wanted in the world for Christmas was 'A packet of Jaffa Cakes'. That's all he wrote on his Christmas list and he visited Santa and told him that was all he wanted. Everyone in the line behind went 'Awwww...' at him as if he were some deprived child who didn't even dare hope for a toy Grin

Actually, he'd seen those giant 3ft long packets they only do at Christmas, and thought this was the most amazing thing he'd ever seen - enough Jaffa Cakes for years in there! Easy enough , I thought, then discovered that every supermarket for about 40 miles around had completely sold out of them when I went to get them! In the end my friend in London had to get some and drop them in on her way past our city to visit relatives in Scotland - but he was a happy boy on Christmas Day Smile (he did get other things too!)

DS2 usually wants more along the lines of, 'A giant remote control plane that turns into a robot, and it has a button that makes chocolate ice cream and it can turn into a boat and go underwater too'. Also tricky to find!

JuniUmiZoomi · 13/12/2017 12:45

blueplastic Interesting! The only place she'd watch that is my mum's so maybe she's covering her tracks! She's only 3 so still on Cbeebies as far as I'm aware. Anyway, she's not getting a castle so nevermind!

SparklingSnowfall · 13/12/2017 12:46

A cuckoo clock here for DS(6)

girlwhowearsglasses · 13/12/2017 12:49

@stiltonfordays our manga crazy cousin from Germany keeps telling em about the mini food thing. No idea what it’s called but she bought son at a comic con thing a few weeks back

DS3 asked for a gravy boat in the shape of The Titanic a couple of years ago.....

girlwhowearsglasses · 13/12/2017 12:50

@sparklingsnowfall I had a cuckoo Clock for Christmas when I was about nine, I really really wanted it- still have it Grin

strawberrypenguin · 13/12/2017 12:52

Pananny is it a horsey light? A my little pony one maybe?
