Years ago my DS asked for a stripy fruit bowl! No idea why. We looked everywhere but couldn't find one so bought a plain ceramic serving bowl and painted it. DS was chuffed that Father Christmas had actually painted it himself. Grin

whirlygirly · 12/12/2017 21:00

We had plasters as the number one item for ds last year. Thanks to flying tiger I got him a lovely tin of them.
Done the same as a stocking filler this year. I love their lists Smile

BertieBotts · 12/12/2017 21:01

KFC does mashed potatoes with gravy in their non UK outlets. I don't know if the UK one does mashed potato at all, does it? Because you could give them a KFC voucher. Actually, Nandos probably does something like that.

Eldest DD asked for a stanner stair left when she was about 9, and 10, and 11 she still wants one!?

@Allthebestnamesareused love the letters!

My autistic 6 year old has decide his also autistic 16 year old big brother really wants a pineapple...
We have pineapple all the time so I've no idea why he's so excited about getting it for him

Flopjustwantscoffee · 12/12/2017 23:58

A potatoe. Apparently his nursery teacher told them all if they were naughty sinterklaas would leave them potatoes instead of presents Hmm but he really wants a potatoe so he's going to be naughty.

Flopjustwantscoffee · 13/12/2017 00:01

He also wants a lot of money so he can buy a helicopter. I suggested maybe Father Christmas would bring a real helicopter but he said quite firmly he would rather just have the money as he is saving for a real one.

Flopjustwantscoffee · 13/12/2017 00:02

Sorry, mistyped, I suggested Father Christmas would bring a toy one (we are not that rich)

Slinkymalinky1 · 13/12/2017 00:07

My dd asked for 'a huge diamond' last year, alongside LEGO friends, she was 6! Grin thankful to amazon and their paperweight diamond thing, she was thrilled Smile so a bottle of water on the list would be fab

Lemoncurd · 13/12/2017 00:11

My 8 year old desperately wants a full sized wheelie bin - for his room! Has been talking about it since the summer and insists that he will buy it with his own money if he has to.

Still haven't got an answer as to why!

Vitalogy · 13/12/2017 00:12

My son was pleased with his two mini traffic cones.

Slinkymalinky1 · 13/12/2017 00:21

Love the wheelie bin! Not even sure if amazon could deliver that one. Traffic cones?? Grin

PsammeadPaintedTheLion · 13/12/2017 08:07

Dd1 ‘the game I played at my friend’s house’

What game? ‘Cant remember.’ What friend ‘cant remember.’ What did you have to do in the game ‘cant remember.’

We tracked it down though!!

thethoughtfox · 13/12/2017 08:58

Sweeties and a juicy carrot. When pressed, maybe a cabbage. She's never eaten cabbage in her life!

MycatsaPirate · 13/12/2017 09:13

An apple cutter. She was 6. She got one. She spent the whole of Christmas day offering apples to people.

She's 12 now and still has it.

MistyMeena · 13/12/2017 09:14

Cheese Confused

MycatsaPirate · 13/12/2017 09:15

You can buy wheelie bins on Amazon but they are about £50!

And surely it would just end up filled with stuff? Or maybe he wants to sit in it?

Buy the bin! Life's too short not to get the bin :o

BluePlasticBuddha · 13/12/2017 10:39

DS1 wants a working carbon monoxide alarm.

He's autistic and currently obsessed with alarms of all types.

DS2 wants the argos catalogue for him to look at. Nothing else, just the argos catalogue.

ArcheryAnnie · 13/12/2017 10:52

BluePlastic my DS used to like the instruction leaflets almost better than the toys (and kept the instruction leaflets longer, too) - sounds like your DS2 is one of those!

While I can't remember any of the proper birthday presents I gave my DS when he turned 4, I do remember that his favourite present of all was the free pocket tube map I picked up for him at the tube station.

1happyhippie · 13/12/2017 10:57

My dd has asked for a potato masher 😁 apparently it's needed for slime?
I have no idea!

PeaceLoveAndDixie · 13/12/2017 11:00

Another one saying buy the bin!

BluePlasticBuddha · 13/12/2017 11:04

Annie he LOVES instruction leaflets you are right! Best part of any game for him.

He likes the catalogue numbers of the argos catalogue and likes memorising them.

letsgomaths · 13/12/2017 11:04

My niece asked for: something that's so big that it can't be wrapped, so I have to be led towards it, with my Anna and Elsa sleep mask covering my eyes so I can't see.

(She's seen children on TV receiving big presents like bikes in this way.)

I love the child calling Santa's bluff and asking for a potato, it's just what I would have done when being "made" to write a letter to Santa!

PanannyPanoo · 13/12/2017 11:06

my eldest wanted dinosaur socks to help her sleep when she was 2. this is my youngests desires. She is 4. I am perplexed. She told me Santa understands everything so I don't need to be able to read it.
