A rubbish thread title but, well, it's 19 now!

20 days until Christmas, I'm imagining us all wrapping late at night like little festive elves readying ourselves for how excited everyone will be with their bargainous presents.

Any referral links to go on this separate thread please

I have a £20 off £50 Reebok code if anyone needs it?

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/12/2017 13:18

FFS get the loyalty card in build a Bear and you get quarterly vouchers for every £50 spent (easy to do)

TobleroneBoo · 12/12/2017 13:26

Can anybody recommend some semi-bargainous waterproof socks? The ones I have seen so far have been anything but!

Personwithnoname · 12/12/2017 13:56

Does anyone know if there are cheaper versions of Love Book? Id love to get DP one who has low self esteem. He can remind himself why he is great even when I'm not around.

tiggersdontlikehoney · 12/12/2017 14:38

Clinique are doing the 5 free minis with any purchase again today Xmas Smile

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 12/12/2017 14:40

Got some good things today in current Argos 2 for £15, including

Hot Wheels 9 pack

Aquabeads Starter Set

Transformer Rescue Bot

Not bought for anyone in mind but thought they'd be good for the general party present cupboard.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 12/12/2017 14:41

Person how about writing/printing strips of paper, scrunching up and putting in a jar so he can take one out when he needs a reminder

burntoutmum · 12/12/2017 15:04

I’d love the Adidas voucher please @Fuckingfuckssake

snowmanshoes · 12/12/2017 15:09

Just had an email from thebookshop.com saying if you order anything then you can get free 24 hour express delivery with the code SANTA. They have lovely metal bookmarks with dangly things off them for less than a tenner and about a tenner if you have them engraved. Thought it may help someone and these threads have been so good for me, hope I can return the favour! They have all sorts of designs for kids and adults and HP ones too.

snowmanshoes · 12/12/2017 15:11

sorry its actually thebookmarkshop.com (sorry)

Ok I need some help please, looking for ideas for DD(17) and DD(12).
So far I have:
DD(12) - Trainers, wiress headphones, SIMS 4 for PC, unicorn mug and alarm clock, dressing gown and xmen DVD set. Looking to spend around £30-40 on a few nice bits, preferably on non-electricals. She likes arts and craft but has a lot of stuff already so struggling to thunk of something new and interesting for her. Books would also be good.
DD(17) : assorted books and DVDs she asked for, some tops, dreasing gown and Pandora leather bracelett. She is also getting a spa voucher from GPs. She is really hard to buy for as she isn't massively into beauty, she is quite grungy and geeky. She has also recently been diagnosed with depression and anxiety so things have been a bit of a struggle for her. She has fallen out with her (toxic) best friend a while back and has been feeling quite isolated. I would really like to get her some nice surprises but I feel really stuck. Any ideas for either of them would be gladly received!

justkeeponsmiling · 12/12/2017 15:34

I should add: driving lessons all paid for alreadyas bortha git from family for DD (17) so that's alson.

justkeeponsmiling · 12/12/2017 15:35

...not an option.

gingerbreadmam · 12/12/2017 15:35

@justkeeponsmiling definitely some nice.slippers to go with her dressing down.

How about a cineworld voucher or Netflix?

Have you ever looked on truffle shuffle? They have some wonderful geeky tops and gifts on there.

There is also a site people use on here for book necklaces which might be nice but I can't remember the name. How about pandora earrings to match a charm on her bracelet or Thomas sabo do lovely chokers.

Is there any shoes she would be into likes vans or doc Martin's?

totallyLosingIt · 12/12/2017 15:41

I don't know if anyone else's child is into Shimmer and Shine and tiny things... but the 8 pack of Teenie Genies was reduced from £14.98 (apparently) to £3 in Asda today. Unfortunately DD was with me so she's opened it already. Good for stocking filler though!

@justkeeponsming - here’s some ideas-
-Echo goes for both bedrooms
-Spotify (or similar) subscription so they can listen to music when out without using their phone data
-12 yr old - if she likes nail varnish then you could make up a little nail hamper - few varnishes, file, remover, cotton wool pads, nail scissors etc

  • Under 17 first driving experience for the 12 year old (I’ve bought this for my 14 year old via Groupon for his Xmas. £40 something)
  • American sweets/choc
  • Photo frames for their rooms
  • Do they like baking? If so small baking hamper plus cooking choc, nice sprinkles, etc
  • Lakeland do “Brownie in a mug” and similar
  • Journal, pens and embellishments so they can make a bullet journal. Perhaps print out lots of example pages to wrap with it to get their ideas and enthusiasm going. May help the eldest with her feelings.
justkeeponsmiling · 12/12/2017 16:17

Thanks Dolphin and gingerbread there are some lovely ideas here!

justkeeponsmiling · 12/12/2017 16:18

Does anyone have a link to the book necklace by any chance?

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 12/12/2017 16:39

justkeeponsmiling i was going to suggest a nice notebook and pens. Moleskine do some limited addition ones, i picked up a lego one for £10 brand new on ebay. Amazon have stencil sets for fairly cheap. Which work perfectly with the note book. I use my bullet journal to help manage my ocd and anxiety and find it really helps.

Taffeta · 12/12/2017 16:47

Papier have gorgeous personalised notebooks. There was a 15%? discount code MUMSNET a while back I think?

Casablanca78 · 12/12/2017 16:49

Does anyone else have an adidas code they won't be using please? It would be much appreciated here! Thank you

BonnesVacances · 12/12/2017 17:05

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but the Echo Dot is back down to £35 on Amazon for those who regretted missing out on Black Friday.

Fuckingfuckssake · 12/12/2017 17:25

Burnoutmum I've messaged you, lifelongfrugaleer it'll be a one off visit, we live miles from any big towns so not worth getting a loyalty card, thanks for the idea though.
