Well I went to sainsburys.
I came home with 4 pints of milk Xmas Grin

I only wanted a couple of bits but they didn't have any of them. Bah humbug.
Store here was mostly giant plastic noisemaking tat for babies, lego, and barbie-type things. Oh, and about 500 varieties of plastic things designed to cut/squash/shape play-doh.

Was very cilivilised here, a few trollies loaded to the max but no barging and lots of polite excuse mes.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 18/10/2017 10:08

I'm glad people are finding the book and seeds offer useful, I don't feel I'm contributing as much as normal this year because everything offline is so chaotic. Especially with someone using my cornerstone link and 3 people using my Wonderbly link (book still on its way, will post when it arrives) I don't want people thinking I'm just here for what I can get if that makes sense?

LeavesinAutumn · 18/10/2017 10:11

moggle · 18/10/2017 10:36

Been lurking for all the threads but am generally a taker not a giver - sorry!
Anyway I am slowly collecting Thomas engines for DD's wooden railway from ebay as well as new, for her birthday in November and Christmas too. They are so expensive!! But just seen that Thomas himself is £7.70 on Amazon which is the cheapest it's been for a couple of years according to camelcamelcamel and cheaper than you can generally get on ebay too (if you have prime or can make up your Amazon order to £20 for free delivery ).
Hopefully my link HERE gives the right buying option but it's the sold by Amazon option.
Also bought two Disney DVDs for my niece's 2nd birthday in the 2 for £11.99 promotion on Amazon. I thought £6.99 each was cheap enough but every little helps...
here.

LikeSilver · 18/10/2017 10:38

I survived Sainsbo's, almost feel I need a medal although people were quite polite in general. I wanted a Spider-Man and an Orchard Toys game, got both and only spent 50p extra on a little dinosaur for DS's stocking so feelings saintly and restrained Grin

margaritasbythesea · 18/10/2017 10:42

Tellmeitsnottrue - Don´t sweat it. I don´t think anybody minds at all. Everyone contributes when they can and benefits when they can´t. Hope things improve in RL very soon Flowers

I really like how it´s been such a lovely set of threads this year. I was just thinking yesterday that we haven´t had any kickoffs yet! Long may it remain that way. Flowers for all of you!

OhHolyFuck · 18/10/2017 10:51

@PinkPanther27 I've pm'd it to you Xmas Smile

OhHolyFuck · 18/10/2017 10:52

Oh god, does anyone remember the huge row one year, was it a bout a cookie jar? Thankfully it's been lovely so far this year

RJnomore1 · 18/10/2017 10:52

Just realised you can get adult converse for £35.40 on la redoute with the Big40 code.

Cupoteap · 18/10/2017 10:57

Thanks holyfuck for the santa Grin

CannotEvenThink · 18/10/2017 10:58

Thank you for the seeds link, snagged that one for dd's stocking.
I'm getting there with my lot!

sherbertdibdab · 18/10/2017 10:58

I got lots of wooden toys in Sainsbury's as they were half price and I have a raft of nct group first birthdays in the next month.

CannotEvenThink · 18/10/2017 11:02

My (expensive) bargain yesterday, I got my parents a wine tasting/ tour break including a night in a hotel for £169 from Into The Blue.

I looked around and the same break is over £200 on other sites. It is a bit spendy but I'm splitting it with siblings.

RJnomore1 · 18/10/2017 11:03

Oh oh oh excitement chez RJ (I'm on annual leave and it's a slow week)
Sonos are emailing people who are registered with them £25 off an amazon echo dot (see above for me looking for a deal)

I've managed to do the £5 bonus for topping my amazon up £25 tooso ive got £30 in my account and I've got prime which I think gives me £5 off the dot anyway...

So getting it for £19.99, possibly £14.99 really. Check your email if you own a sonos!

RJnomore1 · 18/10/2017 11:09

Update - the sonos code gives you £30 off if you have amazon prime.

With the £5 top up bonus the echo is costing me £15 😁

WhyamIBoredathome · 18/10/2017 11:15

rj suddenly I am ticked off at my OH for deciding that Bluesound was better than sonos. He just bought one. Angry

Although I confess that I only want an Alexa to see the comedy value when it won't recognise my OH's forrin accent.

peachy94 · 18/10/2017 11:17

Survived Sainsbury's, only went to 1 that was traumatising enough. Got what I wanted for DS 2 Lego sets, orchard spelling game and 2 power rangers Toot toot fish for the bath and some bubbles for stocking. Used my nectar points too so it only cost me £10 in actual money

RJnomore1 · 18/10/2017 11:19

This one is for dd2 for Xmas so I'm really chuffed. I was holding off for Black Friday but I'm sure they won't be less than that.
