Anonnamechangeranon · 18/10/2017 08:28

Am avoiding Sainsburys. Discounts haven't been as good recently and I get carried away in the scrum and end up with loads I don't need.

Just need that argos 3 for 2 to happen again!

Personwithnoname · 18/10/2017 08:33

ness1234 Have you a Range near you? Last year they had beauty adverts for around £8 I think. I can't find online to link I'm afraid.

They do lovely wooden fill your own ones too for anyone looking wooden advent

Thanks tellmeitsnottrue for seeds and book link.

I was in Asda rl shopping and spotted this gift set for £3. Trowel, fork, plant labels and book.

snooky17 I think they have like 20% off but not sure if it's always same time. Lots of Christmas stuff reduced toward end November last year and further reduced into December. I say every year I'll get a wooden advent in sale and never do.

Asda also had a lot of their bigger wooden toys on sale; train set, pots and pans, kitchen etc.

PinkPanther27 · 18/10/2017 08:54

In work half an hour early and with a boot full of toys 😀

PinkPanther27 · 18/10/2017 09:00

@InTheRoseGarden Hatchimals were £52. Dd hasn't mentioned them so quickly walked past and hoped they don't appear on any TV adverts.

Blu123 · 18/10/2017 09:01

Is it bad that I’d already been to two different Sainsburys superstores by 8.30am this morning?!! 😳

Mallowmarshmallow · 18/10/2017 09:04

Has anyone seen any of the pitter patter walk along dogs? My son would love one and I can pretend I’ve fulfilled his wish of having a real pet. They seem to be out of stock everywhere, are they a must have toy this year and I’ve just missed it?!

PinkPanther27 · 18/10/2017 09:10

I've got so many presents that I need to start wrapping now before I end up buying too much. My issue is I can't find any nice wrapping paper. Has anyone found any bargainous nice wrapping paper for kids and adults?

SundayLunchHappy · 18/10/2017 09:10

Home from Sainsbury's and slightly traumatised from all the judging.

Went in to pick up the wooden learn and grow clock and pigs in pants memory game for dn who is turning 4 in Jan.

This is my last Christmas before being a parent myself, someone tell me the ramming of trolleys into every tom dick and Harry whilst you've loaded up with enough toys to sink titanic isn't normal Shock

I wonder if my humbled self will return to 2018's thread a different woman altogether Grin

christmasunicorn · 18/10/2017 09:17

No fingerlings but this was our haul from Sainsbury’s

RJnomore1 · 18/10/2017 09:21

My girls are too old for me to do the toy sale - although I might pop by for dobble - but I found in previous years that if I went a few days later, the scrum had cleared and they had restocked quite a few things.

SundayLunchHappy · 18/10/2017 09:22

I knew it christmasunicorn.... I'll be the one with the trolley next year, not the one scampering around looking slightly terrified! Hope you lots of bargains, I'm chuffed with my bits.

christmasunicorn · 18/10/2017 09:24

@SundayLunchHappy in all fairness we have 5dc between us so we could probably sink the titanic with toys 😂

OhHolyFuck · 18/10/2017 09:24

Lego santa at Argos, usually around £13 so a nice saving

nickdrakeslovechild · 18/10/2017 09:26

WreckTangled , how much were the dc superhero dolls please?

Christmasunicorn, how much was buckaroo please?

Choconuts · 18/10/2017 09:28

Do you remember how much the till was? My DD is desperate for one of those Smile

Snooky17 · 18/10/2017 09:32

Sainsburys is a good half an hour away, I’ve already said I’m done for girls, in my overdraft and not paid for 2 weeks but OMG I really want to go (and then pop in the range) this thread is dangerous

crumbsinthecutlerydrawer · 18/10/2017 09:45

Just back from Sainsbury’s thank goodness I was doing a shop anyway, most of it was giant plastic baby tat. And they didn’t even have two of the 3 Lego sets I was after, Ninjago movie ones. Bit of a disappointment. The last few years have been really good.

It’s always been quiet in the toy sale on previous years but today was fairly unpleasant.

PodgeBod · 18/10/2017 09:55

I picked up a few bits at Sainsbury's but they didn't have the things I was actually looking for. Was tempted by a Rapunzel and horse and a Fireman Sam playset, both £25, but resisted.

PodgeBod · 18/10/2017 09:56

Also my store was almost empty, no trolley ramming at all. It doesn't have loads of toys though.

gingerbreadmam · 18/10/2017 10:06

pinkpanther studio do gorgeous wrapping paper and massive rolls too.
