Did I vaguely remember one of you guys mentioning that boots light up mirror might be coming out in rose gold or am I even dreaming about this thread.
Got my flavourly box and managed to cancel it easily.
A friend mentioned a website called Qwirkity, no particular bargains to be had but does have some more unusual gifts for hard to buy for people. I'm tempted by the fairy light lasers....

If it's relevant for anyone, I just bought DD the entire set of A Series of Unfortunate Events for her Kindle for £3.99 on Amazon! 13 books! Was searching for the book boxset which is £££ and OOS on the Book People and couldn't believe the price for the Kindle set! Unfortunately I was so excited I clicked it and she's got them now instead of at Christmas! Oh well, I'm the Best Mummy Ever this evening!

Whatdoesaturkeydo · 03/11/2016 20:36

Bettythebuilder I got my hard to buy for music loving brotherinlaw the abbey road game last year and he was really chuffed with

Ness1234 · 03/11/2016 20:36

Thekidsthatpukedxmas thanks for the link re Urban Outfitters re the Fjallraven backpack, they do sell the yellow, can't get the 10% off as I have ordered from them before. Will wait to see if they do any more discounts before Xmas.

Wiifitmama · 03/11/2016 20:44

IHeart - thanks for the tip about the kindle set of A Series of Unfortunate events. My youngest is working his way through the hardbacks but they live at my mums and are heavy to having them on kindle is great!

Whatdoesaturkeydo · 03/11/2016 20:47

Reastie I bought my 9 year old niece the fairground "lego" set from Wilko £7 together with a little crayons fashion designer book (has swatches and stickers inside) £3 also wilko

RoastieToastieReastie · 03/11/2016 20:54

Thanks what.its hard to know what to get when having no idea what the child is in to! I was thinking of putting a chocolate santa in there but alas it says no edible items.

Whoever has the 17 year old boy, maybe something to do with a fashion brand or label. Tkmaxx might be worth a look.

Iheart what age are the Unfortunate Events series aimed at?

d270r0 · 03/11/2016 20:56

3 issues of minecraft world magazine for £1.
minecraft world

BadgerFace · 03/11/2016 20:56

My 3 year old wrote (well dictated) her letter to Father Christmas today. Top of her lost was a "house" for her My Little Ponies. She only has the blind bag size ones so I'm not sure that the Crystal Palace is the right thing to get but can't think of what alternative I should go for... Doll's house? Any bargainous ideas anyone?!

She also wants a Petkin Shopkin (damn you tube). Having googled as I'd never heard of it I think it's an old season thing - can you buy old season easily?

d270r0 · 03/11/2016 20:57

Also 3 issues of 'mineworld' magazine for £1
MINEWORLD

Wiifitmama · 03/11/2016 21:01

snappydragon - my ds3 is reading them. He is 8 and a fairly advanced reader. My ds2 read them around aged 10.

shash1982 · 03/11/2016 21:03

Does anyone have any ideas where I can get a nice tide time clock for about £20 ish?

TIA!

acsec · 03/11/2016 21:07

Ive signed up for the Met appeal, thanks Reastie. I would usually do the MN secret Santa but it's not on this year.

Lidl has power bank chargers in £9.99 at the moment - got one for DSS. Next week Lidl has beard oil and beard shampoo for 99p each, I'm going to get some for DH stocking.

Was someone looking for a hot glue gun? Lidl is getting these is too.

Cuddles I had an email from ELC saying 60% off toys and I think it included the kitchen.

IHeartKingThistle · 03/11/2016 21:09

Snappy my DD is nearly 10. I think she'd have found them too dark before this age though, but she is loving them now! I remember when they were first coming out it was the boys in my Year 7 class who were really into them and competing to see who could get through the new one first etc.

Does anyone know of any very codes knocking about that aren't just for new customers? Need a whole heap of Lego and the sets I want are cheapest from there but I want them cheaper!

carrietwick · 03/11/2016 21:12

Badger - you can now get Petkins in the new Shopkins range called Happy Places.

acsec · 03/11/2016 21:14

Right, I've got a 7 year old boy and 9 year old girl. Think I'll take pp's advice on the sstationery for the girl, but not sure on the boy! Lego is always a winner do you think?

Gulsink · 03/11/2016 21:14

Shash1982 someone recomended this site earlier : Tide clock

snappydragon1 · 03/11/2016 21:15

Thanks Iheart and wiifit dd is 9 but a good reader. I'm getting them!

SestraClone · 03/11/2016 21:23

Lego or Minecraft for 7 year old boys I reckon!

Thanks to whoever posted the Minecraft mag subscription offers.
