Does anyone know if House of Fraser do a blue-cross type event before Christmas? DP has seen a Crombie type coat he likes but I'd like to get something off it!

yaffle · 03/11/2016 10:33

Apologies if it's already been mentioned but Argos, Tesco and Amazon have Skylanders Imaginaters reduced to £31.99 - £34.99 depending on console format .

Silvercross Ranger doll's pram is £23.89 in Aubergine on Amazon fits Baby Anabell/ Baby Born etc.

OhHolyFuck · 03/11/2016 11:06

Arrrragh! Nothing I want in stock at argos, everyone must have been reserving super early this morning, I've got gift vouchers too (from changing gas and electric supplier) so wouldn't have cost me anything but there's nothing left!

Strawberryfield12 · 03/11/2016 11:14

Basically they started pckaging them on Tuesday and first deliveries start now, they never replied about the packaging though. Can anyone help me with mini micro scooters?
I've a ds who turns 3 a few days before Christmas so I have to come up with ideas for grandparents for both birthday and Christmas. The other day ds told me that Santa is bringing him a red scooter so I thought it would be a good idea for one set of gps.
I'm not sure if it was on here or not but I'm sure I read something about mini micro scooters being the only ones worth bothering with. Has anyone any experience? Are they worth the money?
If they are I'll ask one of the gps to get it for him to cover birthday and Christmas as it's so expensive.
And if it is worth it then any tips on getting it any cheaper than their own website? Wish I'd started looking into it a couple of days ago because I could have got £10 off at Smyths. Any idea if they'll do another money off a big spend deal before Christmas now?
Thank you!

Strawberryfield12 · 03/11/2016 11:34

Never heard if these, but found a voucher in my post. Rude Wines give new customers a case of 12 bottles and 2 riedel glasses for £49.99 and free delivery with code NOV80. In t&c they say there is no obligation to buy more wine, but they may reject order due to fraudulent use of code. After hushgate better state this Grin

KokoLoko · 03/11/2016 11:37

Justyou, could I have your Mothercare code please if you've still got it? Thanks xx

pantherfootballforever · 03/11/2016 11:39

I would go with micro scooters all the way Brew - 4 DC and we have had a plethora of scooters in this house from the most basic bargain £8 ones from Halfords to Micro scooters and everything in between. I would only bother with decent ones from now on - cheaper ones just aren't worth the money.

DTs have mini micros which they got when they were 2 - they are now 6 and we are finally replacing them with the maxi micros this Christmas - they can still comfortably use the minis (in fact DD1 who is 9 and DS who is 11 also regularly go on them!) but we are moving up to a bigger size which should hopefully last them at least the 4 years that they have had from the minis. Both the minis have cracked pieces at the front from DC (deliberately) crashing them into the wall Hmm but other than that they are on great working order so will be passed on to friends with little ones.

bettythebuilder · 03/11/2016 11:43

The lumi dough was from High Street TV but it's £3.99 now here IAmAPaleontologist

The Works has (upto) 10% off when you spend over £10 today with code BOOM10

Fragrance Direct has free delivery when spending over £20 with code FREEDEL20

Thank you to the poster who mentioned the Tesco eBay outlet... I got the Abbey Road music quiz for dh, it was only 3 or 4 quid and it's a big box and looks really good, I'm very pleased with it as dh is a problem to buy for (aren't they all?!)

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 03/11/2016 11:46

Brew I'm also getting ds a mini micro this year. Did lots of research and the thing that swung it for me is that they're by far the lightest - so easy for toddlers to handle, but also easy for you to cart around if the dc gets sick of scooting.

I didn't manage to get an offer so just bought from John Lewis in the end. Paid £10 extra for the deluxe version which has adjustable handlebar height.

gaggiagirl · 03/11/2016 11:48

Hype haven't emailed me back yet about their Halloween flash sale difficulties. I'm hoping they fix the problem to bring us black Friday deals galore!!!!!

imip · 03/11/2016 11:50

4 dc here also and micro scooters are our first choice also. They last really well and hand down well. So much so that our 2 mini micros, which lasted 4 dc have been handed to another family (yes, we've needed to replace the brake - I did it while nursing a newborn, and we've changed a couple of wheels, but they were used daily).

Miastar · 03/11/2016 11:53

The mini micro scooters are worth the price, we have 3 and now 2 maxi micros.

I have found usually the smyths codes exclude them although I didn't check this time and just buy direct .

I did find a maxi special edition that dropped in price on Amazon via a 3rd party however they normally stay the same price.

InNeedOfABrew · 03/11/2016 11:55

Thank you Panther and Itsnice. Will suggest it to my Dad then and tell him about its longevity. It'll probably end up being passed down to his baby sister at some point. I expect they'd end up getting it from John Lewis whatever I tell them as its my step mum's favourite shop!

Crosspost. Thank you imip and Miastar. Will give dad a ring now.

PurpleHatter · 03/11/2016 12:11

The playmobil double codes for 40% off no longer seem to be stacking.

Knew I should have ordered last night but I was waiting to see if Amazon dropped their prices further Sad

BrieAndChilli · 03/11/2016 12:20

I've reserved stuff in Argos today - I assume that when I go and collect tomorrow I will get it as 3-4-2 even though I reserved them before the offer started???
