Mamma if there's a Home Bargains near you, they had things like jacks and make your own wind-up cars that you could race for 99p, all in a sort of vintage style.

There was a lot of really good stuff like that in, actually and cheap cat food!

SomethingOfTheNight · 21/10/2016 20:33

I too have had the ongoing abuse blah blah cancellation email from Hush, and also have been inundated with their marketing crap emails.

FireflyGirl · 21/10/2016 20:38

Ooh, and I had a nosy through the Sainsburys christmas food catalogue and THEY HAVE A GLITTERY TURKEY!!! Xmas Shock

Damn me for agreeing DMIL could host this year!

BowlFullofJelly · 21/10/2016 20:39

Playmobil ark is £20 at Argos at the moment, lowest price according to ccc

confuugled1 · 21/10/2016 20:43

Poundland does big boxes of neon plasters for a pound. They're not very sticky though - I used mine up by letting ds1 use them when he didn't really need a plaster - they were great as placebo plasters!

cookiefiend · 21/10/2016 20:45

I have had no email from hush even to confirm my order. Looked at my account and realised that my email address is incorrectly typed there. No mention of whether my order is held up or anything (I ordered a candle).

I can't get over them charging £3.50 for 75g of chocolate and 3.95 delivery- I cannot believe anyone would pay that without a discount code.

I imagine mn are feeling pretty awkward and stuck in the muddle with the whole thing with hush tbh. I had the email too saying my order was cancelled.

verytiredmummy could you maybe get them at tesco/sainsburys/ boots during some type of points promotion? Obvs wouldn't be a discount but you might be able to maximise the points you receive for them...
Or someone else may have a cleverer idea!!

SomethingOfTheNight · 21/10/2016 20:52

Dotcomgiftshop have some badger plasters in a tin, in their sale reduced to £1.95. But they charge for delivery, unless anyone has a code.

JesusDontWantMeForASunbeam · 21/10/2016 20:52

monkeyface the kylo ren one? I may have the receipt.

MumboNumber5 · 21/10/2016 20:53

grr, I got a hush cancellation too. Isn't it their mistake?

woodwaj · 21/10/2016 20:54

keyholders

Found these on my search for couples gifts!!

QuilliamCakespeare · 21/10/2016 20:58

IamA... Did you get a dispatch email from Totes? I haven't had one and think I ordered on the same day as you.

itsonlysubterfuge · 21/10/2016 20:59

Trin The works have always had really good costumer service for me. I've had a few damaged items from them and they just let me keep the items, but give me a full refund. They just have you take pictures of the items.

QuilliamCakespeare · 21/10/2016 20:59

That keyholder is so cute. Who can I buy it for?! Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 21/10/2016 21:00

Place marking

monkeyfacegrace · 21/10/2016 21:01

jesus Yep that one. But bless you, don't worry. Its just one of those things! It was out of stock for AGES online, in that size, so would have been irelivant, but now they have 11-12 back in stock. Damn it 😂

GoofyIsACow · 21/10/2016 21:05

I also got a hush cancellation and have been searching for an 'outraged of mumsnet' thread!
I placed two orders using the code, one was a dress and i am wearing it as i type!
My candle hasn't arrived so i guess that's the one they cancelled (despite me placing that one first!)
I agree with poster upthread who mentioned the mumsnetters are buying hush candles email. It made me laugh!
I absolutely love the dress, i am glad i had a voucher as i think the full price is steep.
However I agree, the email was badly worded, i felt like i got a playground bollocking!

TKRedLemonade · 21/10/2016 21:09

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions! I should be able to get her s selection now Smile connfuggled placebo plasters are def all that is required :)

Trin4421 · 21/10/2016 21:10

Itsonly- they haven't asked for anything back, but I'd bought a lot of books and games as presents and obviously can't give them away now. TBH, I'd feel pretty crap about giving my own kids most of them looking like they do! Things happen, stuff gets damaged in the post (although this was sent through a courier service!) - I think I'm just shocked that they won't replace damaged orders! Just crazy!

Nineteentothedozen · 21/10/2016 21:11

Does anyone know where I can get a Japanese kimono from at a half decent price? I've found ones at high street stores but not Japanese style/print! It's for teenage dd who loves anything Japanese!

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 21/10/2016 21:14

If it helps anyone, I just got the Hush 'abuse of referral' email BUT I have emailed back and pointed out that my order, placed after, that made use of the vouchers from people using my links, has already been shipped and therefore accepted. So will see if they'll honour the first.

Looking forward to my jumper though!

woodwaj · 21/10/2016 21:15

I just searched kimono on amazon and quite a few came up for around £10!

Nursenat100 · 21/10/2016 21:18

Place marking...got to be done!
