herspooky check out Lucy Locket for costumes - they are great quality and a really decent price for what they are. We have a couple of the fairytale ones (reversible red riding hood/big bad wolf), the owl cape & mask and the girl superhero one and they have lasted 4 year so far and still going strong. I'll easily be able to pass them on to someone else when DTs are done with them.

gaggiagirl · 25/10/2016 16:42

Just back from sainsburys. They have fab fleece lined leggings in that are very festive. Great for denim refusing DD.
Got a shopkins night light £6.80 its very cute.

LavateLasManos · 25/10/2016 16:46

HerSpooky I have a Lucy Locket ladybird tabard you can have if you'd like it. It's BNWT still in original packaging.
This the one (it's just the tabard and hood, the leggings and spotty sleeves aren't part of it).

Also just got back from Sainsburys. I didn't get anything too Christmassy but did get a two pack of boys pjs down from £11 to £8.40 I think. Nice quality too! The pyjama aisle was almost empty though. Also got some nice Gruffalo clothing!

Pinkladymel · 25/10/2016 16:55

Does anyone know where you can buy sweets from in bulk for cheap? I've got to fill mason jars and the candy grabber we were all buying months and months ago (doesn't time fly?!). Huge thanks in advance for any help :)

Pinkladymel · 25/10/2016 16:58

Also please could anyone tell me why you're all ordering No7 advents? I just had a look and cant see one and must have missed the deal here (boohoo)

sherbertdibdab · 25/10/2016 17:05

pink lady hopefully this link works boots calendar

SymphonyofShadows · 25/10/2016 17:08

Can't see it online but I went to M&S today and got an Autograph New York fragrance gift set with a decent sized spray EDT, body lotion, bath oil and shower gel in a nice box for £12.50 down from £30. They also had a scarf with rrp of £25 for £5 if you spend £40 on clothes I didn't need anything.

Goandplay · 25/10/2016 17:13

Not Christmas but I'd like a nice gift I can have sent direct to a family that just lost their dog. Thinking a food type gift. The children are 3-9years old.

HungryHorace · 25/10/2016 17:22

You can get huge bags (3kg) of Haribo sweets from eBay. They are quite reasonable really (though it depends how many jars you're planning on filling!).

InTheseFlipFlops · 25/10/2016 17:27

pinklady www.aquarterof.co.uk/buy-in-bulk-and-save.html#intro

Are really good. I don't know how they compare on price but as a company and for choice they are great

pantherfootballforever · 25/10/2016 17:34

pinklady I recently filled a ton of glass jars for a sweetie station at a party and the cheapest place was actually Poundland/world and home bargains. I had things like vimto bonbons, rainbow drops, refreshers squashies, jazzies & maoam pinballs. Depends what kind of sweets you're after I guess but they worked out cheapest for me

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 25/10/2016 17:39

Smiggle have pencil cases plus five items for £15. DS2 treated himself today - took him bloody ages to choose but he is well chuffed!

In Asda today in the clearance bit they had a few Shopkins sets reduced maybe worth a look if you have any Shopkins fans think they were down from about 18 to £11ish couldn't get any pics as my phone battery had died :-(

WheresTheCoffee · 25/10/2016 17:56

I've had a reply from Hearst, explaining that there has been a supplier issue with the Red goody bags which has now been resolved. Our bags should arrive within the next 7-10 days. Fingers crossed!

HerSpookyFattyness · 25/10/2016 17:57

Thanks everyone! I have bookmarked the lucy locket page for.when I get paid, and I am in sainsburys fairly often so will check out the clearance rails after Halloween (why didn't I think of that?!)

FireflyGirl · 25/10/2016 18:13

Ness1234 · 25/10/2016 18:15

The Boots No7 Advent calendar was only available online I think to those who had registered an interest. They should become available to all tomorrow, so hopefully you haven't missed them?

mammyaroundmadness · 25/10/2016 18:16

Really struggling with my nephew he is 10 I have got him a knex set but would like to get him a few stocking fillers. Does anyone have any ideas for boys of this age please? Xmas Smile

d270r0 · 25/10/2016 18:18

Ooh thankyou Wheresthecoffee, good to know! I bet the supplier issue was simply the fact that they weren't expecting so many of us to go for the offer so had to source a load of new stuff as cheaply as possible!

Snooky17 · 25/10/2016 18:20

PinkLady Iceland do the big tubs of sweets, rosy apples, blackcurrant & liquorice, pear drops can't remember the rest for £4 sweeties

Pinkladymel · 25/10/2016 18:23

Thank you so much everyone for all of the answers about sweeties and the No7 advent. Can't get over how brilliant you all are :D
