See post two for links and codes and huge thanks to firefly girl for helping me update the list so hopefully all old codes have now been banished. I can't keep the list up to date without your help so please do let me know in bold so I can't miss it if anything doesn't work Thanks

Yes, fuck off unicorns. They suck. Grin

Thread 11, the one where we destroy the British economy by spending all our money in China.

Love, the Christmas Thread Grinch Wink

Has anyone actually used that icing tool or anything similar? I have never got on with any icing gadgets, much as I would like to, as using icing bags leaves my hands aching after a while.

Lapinlapin · 10/10/2016 11:16

stealth I've not tried that particular icing gadget, but i've never got on with them either. Much prefer a bag!

BicycleMadeForTwo · 10/10/2016 11:21

Stealth - I can't use an icing bag at all. My hands go after a while! I've got this one and it's pretty good for being a bit more in control of the icing. I'm sure better bakers than myself are better with the old school bag.

WuTangFlan · 10/10/2016 11:42

I'm seriously considering getting DH one of these... I can't look at unicorns in quite the same way now...

Sophia1984 · 10/10/2016 11:42

Looking for bargains for baby who will be 5 months at Christmas. Any ideas?

LostMyRubySlippers · 10/10/2016 11:46

My Hype bag has just arrived too- really pleased with it for £3-odd- hope the recipient likes it too
They also put a mini bag of haribo in the parcel which made my day need to get out more Grin

LostMyRubySlippers · 10/10/2016 11:49

sophia do you have a jumperoo? Not a bargain as they are ££ but you might be able to find a deal on one
My DS was same age at his first Christmas & that's what we got him
Can't really remember what else as its a few years ago.... just books & bits & pieces I think as a lot of other people were buying for him too

SideOrderofChip · 10/10/2016 11:51

You know unicorns are popular now. Same as mermaids.

Last year it was something else

Year before it was people desperate to get snow glow Elsa. And something people ordered but never came.

Closer to Christmas there will be other things. The point is to help each other get what we need to for Christmas. I can't even buy a mumsnet unicorn as they don't deliver here. Am I moaning that it took up the last two threads? No.

MrsCrimbo74 · 10/10/2016 11:52

Bit late but I've been on holiday so just catching up, but someone on the last thread was asking about large dinosaurs. This isn't a cuddly one, but I bought this for my son last year, it's a remote control dinosaur it's about 3ft long and 1.5ft high.

It's £9.99 with free delivery, it comes deflated so looks a lot smaller when you receive it

Anyone know of any photo sites that will do an A3 poster cheap? I need to get two 'Captain Bollocks' ones as gifts for fans of the small crimson one. Grin

PinkSquash · 10/10/2016 11:56

The unicorns aren't on my radar (sob!) but I love seeing all the different items available.

TobleroneBoo · 10/10/2016 11:56

Pink I think Photobox has 40% at the moment

liquidrevolution · 10/10/2016 11:58

Sophia - wait till next week and in the sainsburys toy sale all their toddler and baby toys will (probably) be half price. They have done this the last two years at least. I just filled a stocking with these when DD was 6 months so stacking cups and bath toys and 'naice' wooden toys.

Other presents my DD got included a sit in walker car thing and books, clothes etc. They dont need much at that age!

OhHolyFuck · 10/10/2016 11:58

Ahhhh bollocks, I'm nowhere near a computer on the M&S advent calendar release date (staff training day thing, miles away from anywhere) and they sold out really quickly too didn't they last time?

BadlyWrittenPoem · 10/10/2016 12:01

I have absolutely no interest in the unicorns or in buying anything remotely related to them but I have been really enjoying the unicorn aspect of the thread. I even showed DH the Robert in the washing machine. It's all good fun. Grin

Snooky17 · 10/10/2016 12:03

Thorntons have 20% off think it's just for this week as its chocolate week CHOCWEEK16 excludes hampers and gift sets tho

SomethingOfTheNight · 10/10/2016 12:06

Well said SideOrder.

My Hype order arrived today too, however I stupidly ordered 2 on the same order but only one has been delivered, despite the delivery note clearly stating 2 Angry.

I've emailed their customer services and am awaiting their response.

FreezerBird · 10/10/2016 12:07

Just leaving this here:
Socks
Fun character socks - £2.00 off if you subscribe to their newsletter. Definitely getting a pair of Frida Kahlo socks for my SIL. Possibly also for me...

Also, does anyone know how long the Book People take to deliver? I can't see any indication of it on their website.

IsItGinTimeYet · 10/10/2016 12:10

Not a unicorn fan but don't mind that, its the referrals that drive me nuts. I loved the threads about 4yrs ago, all about the bargains! 🏬
Coronation street colouring book in Sainsburys for £5. Perfect for a fan (my grans stocking!).

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 10/10/2016 12:24

Oh dear I missed a drama! My dd loves unicorns but I'm not buying the things posted. It's still nice to see ideas. Remember people, Christmas cheer!!

Chips I'm surprised it took so long for someone to have a wee moan, surprised VQ hasn't had a moan about me Xmas Grin

PinkSquash · 10/10/2016 12:28

Thanks Toblerone Flowers

Anyone else remember the poster a year or two ago who really had a vendetta about the slightly OT chat? That was bonkers Xmas Grin

Ladybunnyfluff · 10/10/2016 12:35

I'm still trying to find the best place to buy a giant unicorn you can't stop the madness yet!

SideOrderofChip · 10/10/2016 12:52

Usually the moans happen in the prequel thread I have to say!! Roll on payday next week. I have a list as long as my arm to get. Meanwhile has anyone seen a bargainous pink hairdryer at all for a 'grown up' 9 year old

klassy · 10/10/2016 12:59

Ah it's that time of year. You know, the ones that go along the lines of, "I don't come here to chat / see stuff about x / keep your pointless nattering to yourselves and give me bargains!"

Wasn't it Scotland-related somehow last year?
