Thread 6 - the one where the shark beds go astray and we try not to eat our chocolate hauls

Rubbish title but I'm off to bed in a min (it's been one of those days).

As usual links are on post two.

If I've missed anything good (which could be very likely as I'm getting back to work mode atm) let me know.

Just ordered this for my niece if you look at the other sellers down the side its down to £19.99

Most of these websites have it built in to automatically add a referral tag to links. HUKD is another one. I'm not bothered about it. It would be absurd to think they can afford staff, servers and webspace on just a few adverts dotted here and there. Not only that, but I'm clicking to Amazon and buying something anyway, I don't mind if someone is making a few pence off me. I'm very greatful for the bargains and the forum and I really wouldn't want an unobtrusive affiliate tag to be swapped to adverts and pop ups.

I love this thread. I love seeing the same names pop up every year and the sheer adrenalin of grabbing massive bargains. Whether you like affiliate links or not, I'm greatful to you all for your posts so please don't be offended by what I've said above :)

Pinkladymel · 14/09/2016 18:41

Flipping heck Chips how will you look after (not so) baby chips? You're in the wars!

OvO · 14/09/2016 18:43

I have absolutely no problem with affiliated links, and I'm happy to earn MN a few quid if I can. I just would like them to have been clear about it.

So Chips and Reastie are probably keeping Mumsnet solvent, between the prelude and Christmas threads. You two should definitely get a reward - like perhaps picking the next emoji for the site Grin - a razor or phantom shark bed, perhaps?

Chrisinthemorning · 14/09/2016 19:04

Star Wars ceramic mugs in home bargains today- 79p. Bought one for DH stocking

SheStoodInTheStorm · 14/09/2016 19:08

Place marking!

LostMyRubySlippers · 14/09/2016 19:10

imsorryiasked thanks- yeah I went as far as i could without actually paying! Kept thinking it would take it off but it didn't!
Emailed them & they said to ring cust serv.. May have another go tomorrow first though

Theimpossiblegirl · 14/09/2016 19:11

User, sometimes they put a silly price on while waiting for stock, to save having to take stuff off. It would be worth waiting. The Works and Co-Op also have them locally around Christmas time.

Good name btw. :)

ReindeerPoop · 14/09/2016 19:14

Can anyone remember where I would have bought a micro scooter from last year? Vaguely remember 15% off? Could it have been Poppy & Zach?

Helicopter]]

Looks like a bargain

RoastieToastieReastie · 14/09/2016 19:22

Reindeer it's definitely not bargainous sadly. A parcel box is a safe place to drop parcels when they get delivered rather than leaving them by the front door or leaving them with a neighbour. Think of a giant post box type thing. Apparently it arrives tomorrow and I'm slightly concerned it'll look awful outside our house, but it is practical.
