Rubbish title but I'm off to bed in a min (it's been one of those days).

As usual links are on post two.

If I've missed anything good (which could be very likely as I'm getting back to work mode atm) let me know.

Hi folks,

We just wanted to come on to explain a little more about affiliate links.
We use a programme which automatically adds a bit of code to links you post on the boards, which is why the URL sometimes changes. This code allows us to earn a commission on any purchases that you make after clicking on these links. Please rest assured it's nothing sinister, and doesn't affect the cost of anything you buy.
Earning this commission allows us to rely a bit less heavily on display ads and other forms of advertising, and can sometimes help us reach out to brands you love to secure exclusive discounts for Mumsnetters.
In fact, we've just started a thread over here because we want to know what's on your shopping list so that we can try and secure you some exclusive discounts to help with the cost of Christmas. Please come and tell us what you're after and we'll do our best to get you a good deal.

If you don't mind, we'd also like to share with you some of the great offers which land in our inbox every day (like £50 off a <a class="break-all" href="http://track.webgains.com/click.html?wgcampaignid=185523&wgprogramid=11985&clickref=christmasthread_traintrack_discount&wgtarget=www.elc.co.uk/planes-and-trains/big-city-wooden-rail-train-table/136727.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Big City Wooden Rail Train Table and <a class="break-all" href="http://track.webgains.com/click.html?wgcampaignid=185523&wgprogramid=347&clickref=christmasthread_hairandmakeup_discount&wgtarget=track.webgains.com/click.html?wgprogramid=347&wgcampaignid=185523&wgtarget=www.feelunique.com/c/london-fashion-week" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">up to 40% off hair and makeup brands like Benefit and Tigi ) but we don't want to impose so let us know if we're getting in the way.

Finally, if you think that someone is posting links purely to earn commission and not to give recommendations in good faith, then please do report them to us and we'll take a look.

BocolateChiscuit · 14/09/2016 17:53

Can anyone help-I'm driving myself mad. Someone posted something recently which was Star Wars themed and I thought I'd come back and get it for my DP but now I have no clue what it was! It was quite recent (end of last thread maybe) but I can't find it! It must've been something I could get away with giving an adult, but what was it?! Confused

For the pp who was asking about the baby annabell deal. There are 2 of them on Amazon version 9 & 10 both reduced to £34.99. The 10 one is the one that comes with a nappy.
Sorry it's not letting me copy & paste for some reason so I can't put the link but if you put in baby annabell in Amazon search bit itl come up and you see them

OvO · 14/09/2016 18:09

Amy, does that mean someone from MN changed the links from what Reastie had posted, so that they include the MN part? Because if so I'd have liked MNHQ to have been upfront on the threads about that.

RoastieToastieReastie · 14/09/2016 18:10

Ok, my last comment on this I hope could cornerstone links please go on the cornerstone link thread (see post two for link).

OvO · 14/09/2016 18:12

Oh just read the 'automatically' part. So how is it only some links? And still would have liked MN to make it clear about the affiliated links earning them money.

Oh look, I'M the Moany Fucker. Grin

BocolateChiscuit · 14/09/2016 18:12

YES notsaying!! Thank you! Was driving myself bonkers...and it was in my amazon basket all along...Blush

OvO · 14/09/2016 18:14

They have Reastie, as they all have the MN affiliated thingy on them which wouldn't have been part of what you were linking originally.

OvO · 14/09/2016 18:15

God, posting again, bored of my own posts already - by all I meant all the Amazon ones.

ReindeerPoop · 14/09/2016 18:15
