Evening all!

Like last year, whilst Reastie takes a well deserved break, i am taking up the flag to start a new prequel thread.

Because again finishing the last one is depressing.

So....whose got any bargains?

Just got back from Home Bargains. The only Yankee Candles in stock were the sampler size, but I got some for me.

I did, however, get my nephew's present. 4 sets of Micromachine Starwars figuirine (tiny, like boy's Polly Pockets, original size) and a Starwars tin with wine gums in which to keep them all. The Micromachines originally retailed at £12.99 and were £1.99 a pack. They are already on Ebay (not me) for more.

Extremely relieved you are all here already. I have two paw patrol obsessed 3.5 year old girls. It's all so expensive, anyone had any success ordering from China at all?

SimplyNigella · 08/07/2016 16:44

Dillie thank you for the posting the Playmobil Pirates Chest link, it's arrived today and it is brilliant, such good value for money. I was going to give it to a mature just-turned-3 year old but I'm worried that it says 4-10 on the box. Would I be better giving it to a 5 year old instead?

Methenyouplus4 · 08/07/2016 21:26

Thank you so much for all the tips. So far I've bought x6 Emma bridgewater mugs for £33 (I was going to spend nearly £100)! I also got playmobil pirate carrycase and the mermaid tale and a shark mouth blanket/bag- just hoping I won't get hit with additional fees for shipping as it briefly mentioned it as a possibility at the end?

So far I'very mainly bought second hand bits and pieces but great to get some other bits on here.

My tip? Brilliant discount on Jack Wills outlet page- brilliant for teens. Water ottke for £1.50, lovely gift sets for around a tenner etc.

woodwaj · 08/07/2016 21:53

Thanks for the pic D270rO

Feelingblue222 · 09/07/2016 04:30

For anyone with not quite enough Disney reward points it may be worth looking on eBay-I was 100 points short so bought a code off there for £1.50 so I could claim
My free dvd before the reward club closed.

scrappydappydoo · 09/07/2016 04:35

Feelingblue - Make sure you have the corresponding DVD barcode with the reward points code otherwise it's useless.

Feelingblue222 · 09/07/2016 05:29

Sorry forgot to say-they give you all the details needed (some codes work without a barcode) and check its from s film you haven't already claimed points for!

ItStillLooksLikeRainDear · 09/07/2016 07:57

The game Operation is down to £8.97 on Amazon

Gooseysgirl · 09/07/2016 08:08

Ditto augenblick! My 2 yr old DS and 4 yr old DD have become totally obsessed in the last few weeks thanks to their nursery buddies (we don't even have bloody Nickelodeon!!). So far they've been happy just to play with the pup buddies and I managed to pick up a full set of 6 on eBay for £15 in an auction (to be used as bribery on a long journey in a couple of weeks) I agree, all the PP crap is totally overpriced... I'm kind of hoping the obsession wears off before Christmas....

defineme · 09/07/2016 08:20

Methenyouplus4 · 09/07/2016 09:31

Methenyouplus4 · 09/07/2016 10:21

Is there an app that you don't need an iphone for? I have a Samsung smart phone . Thanks.

Methenyouplus4 · 09/07/2016 10:40

Ignore me, found one that lets you take photos, link to websites etc (think it's just called Christmas list).

Any ideas (I know it's not Christmas but you might stumble across it in your search) for teachers? Male and female?

d270r0 · 09/07/2016 13:37

Just went on boots website to look at the soap and glory offer and they're closed for maintenance- but have a 15% off code when you spend £60 valid until 18th August- code is TECHC15.

livinginhope87 · 09/07/2016 16:05

allthingsred · 10/07/2016 19:32

Omg I'm so glad I found this thread again.
I am so late starting (usually start beginning of May ) last night I had a horrible nightmare that it was Xmas eve & no one had anything (I know 1st world problems) but it's motivated me that this is the week I start 🎅🎅

BlueSkies0207 · 10/07/2016 20:10

Not sure if Cornerstone has been mentioned before but I received my DH's first present yesterday. It is a subscription razor company but no tie in, with your first order you get 6 blades with a personalised razor for £14, and can then choose extras. I would say if you planned on giving as a gift get it all as the box has gaps but I'm going to put the razor as stocking filler. Can't comment on use but reviews are good and I'm impressed with look and feel of razor.

If you use my referral we both receive a £10 discount making the razor and blades £4. Hoping someone uses it as planning on getting my dad one too. www.cornerstone.co.uk/7LAU0138

Methenyouplus4 · 10/07/2016 20:10

Thank you OvO- bought 1 for DS and X2 as gifts. Will go great with the little Star Wars mircromachines I bought from Home Bargins yesterday (mentioned earlier). It's the hope that the little ships can be kept in the tin eventually as a little travel case.

No real bargains today but free delivery at Not on the high street sale.

allthingsred · 10/07/2016 20:18

Thanks blueskies
Just had a look. They look really nice. Will definitely be getting at least the razor

d270r0 · 11/07/2016 07:35

I just took out a subscription to 'degustabox' which is a monthly food subscription box, each box contains 9-14 food items (biscuits, sweets, drinks inc. Alcoholic, cooking items, bakery items, etc.) Its normally £12.99 a box (or £11.99 if you take out 6 months at a time) but you can cancel at any time. Anyway someone gave me their referral code for £7 off the first box, once you have an account you get a referral code and if 2 people sign up to it they both get £7 off and you get a free box! If anyone fancies it my code is SUSANA-79E5

24% off Paw Patrol look out tower on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Paw-Patrol-6022481-Lookout-Playset/dp/B00J3LXLNA

SitsOnFence · 11/07/2016 22:03

I think I'm going to take a chance on one of those mermaid tail blankets.

Chip, do you still need more Disney Movie Reward points? I've just been through our tiny DVD collection and found 2 DVDs with codes if you, or anyone else for that matter, would like them?

They are for Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3 (100 points) and The Fox and the Hound (150 points).
