Actually no I don't think I will get the gloves. They won't have an opportunity to play football over the Xmas visit anyway and if we get them the new football they also need it'll only lead to frustration when they can't play with it. We will get them after Xmas at the same time and at least then they can try them on in the shop.

Right. So that IS it for the DCs. That's FINAL!

Does a nice Tesco Tea towel count?

Was going to wrap it and present to whoever helps me load and unload the dishwasher?

(It says on it when life gives you lemons make lemonade)

Resisting twitch to purchase a couple more tomorrow for SIL and friends as little jokey extras!!

PesoPenguin · 21/12/2014 14:28

I twitched about bought DS some batman headphones, a travel neck pillow thingy and some batman boxers that he mentioned he was hoping santa would put in his stocking ( as he had superman ones last year). The headphones and pillow are justified though as were going on a road trip to disneand Paris for new year.

Twitched for a furby from amazon after a few glasses of wine. Will more than likely have to do some shuffling and rewrapping of pressies now. Or twitch some more to even it out. Grin

I wrapped and organised DC's presents last night, allocating some from Santa, some from us. DD"s pile seems bigger. So I have taken one of hers out instead of trying to add more to DS.

What do you think - does this sound equal?
They are sharing a 3DS at their own request, and will get a shared box of books and a stocking each. Stockings have make-up (DD) and gadgets (DS) as well as sweets etc.

From Santa for DD 13;
dressing gown, PJs and a onesie;
From us for DD:
a phone charger & an electric toothbrush (she has asked for all these things)

From Santa for DS 10:
a laptop cooler (these cost about £15 but come in a big box)
2 nanoblock model kits
From us for DS:
a jigsaw & a pair of slippers.

is that just a bit dull for DS?
what I took out from DD's pile was a nail polish set from TK Maxx.

they will get other things from family, but nothing very major.

Oh dear I've twitched again and bought dd frozen monopoly!

Bair · 22/12/2014 00:14

Thank goodness I found you, I was all over this thread last year. Done so well this year.

DS is 10. Has asked for NOTHING. We have got him lego, a raspberry pi and loads of other bits and bobs. But no big ticket item (got a bike free on clubcard points last year). I am close to twitching and buying something stupid on payday on Tuesday...

saltedcaramelicious · 22/12/2014 08:51

I've twitched and ordered boyf a cool t-shirt from joe browns with express hermes delivery, should be here tomorrow or weds!

BathshebaDarkstone · 22/12/2014 08:53

BathshebaDarkstone · 22/12/2014 09:01

Molly a furby's a huge twitch! Xmas Shock

curlingandtwirling · 22/12/2014 09:51

not twitching myself yet, but watching a colleague have a major meltdown because her DD12 has announced this morning that she is desperate for Frozen stuff for Christmas. She has not bought a single Frozen item for her.

She's actually physically twitching. I feel for her.

NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding · 22/12/2014 10:12

Traviata (cool name btw) since you ask I actually think DD's pile is a bit more 'dull' than DS' - I'd put the nail varnish back in Wink :o

supermariossister · 22/12/2014 11:15

twitched on some reeces peanut butter for dp to go In his peanut hamper then realised I'd already wrapped the hamper. 3.50 stocking filler now! got sd some ink for her pen and some boots and a jigsaw for my gramps because I hadn't got him much. need to not go out!

Bair · 22/12/2014 11:44

Well, we woke to find the town flooded, including the main post office. No twitching me for me this year. Just hoping everyone waiting for parcels gets them on time.

traviata · 22/12/2014 14:04

Hmm, I think you are right NowBringUsSomeFuzzpiggyPudding. I'm a bit influenced by the fact that DD just had a birthday and her room is a sea of not-yet-opened beauty bits, including perfume from us and from others and loads of lovely frivolous stuff, so I wasn't going to add more, but perhaps I've gone too far the other way.

DH has just been holding forth about excessive materialism, consumer driven society, blah blah, and I do agree with him but I also want DC to have lots of lovely things and to enjoy them myself.
