Did you know M&S do Percy pig socks??!! Had to buy them! Dd will love them - with a pack of oercy pigs if course!! Anyone else still twitching when they should have stopped buying weeks ago?!

Twitched twice since yesterday, but one was due to the fact that dd (who's ten) finally wrote her Santa letter and it only had one thing on there - and I hadn't bought it, found it on Amazon but not in stock until 16th December unless I wanted to spend double, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it comes in time.

The other twitch I blame firmly on Mumsnet, I read on here about the person who bought a new quilt cover and changed it on Christmas Eve while the children were asleep, I loved the idea and dd really likes Monty from John Lewis so I've combined the two, dd will be amazed so it will be worth it.

But I must stop twitching (and reading threads that give me ideas)

I'm twitching! Everytime I go into town I have to stop myself! There are some gorgeous gifts about at the moment! I am trying to be good and stick to a budget but it's so hard when my little girl would look cute in just about anything!!!!

glentherednosedbattleostrich · 08/12/2014 13:34

I've bought 4 playmobil sets in the amazon lightning sale. 2 I can probably convince a friend to buy off me for her little boy but still. I don't need any more.

Think I can convince myself I'm replacing resources. Honest, that's what I'm doing.

I twitched Twin dolls for my daughter who is now showing a keenness for babies. Son told me last night he could not wait for Xmas as he is sure santa will have got him some minecraft stuff. Santa did not know he liked minecraft. Cue a twitch in toys r us. Sigh. No more. I am closing my ears. I have tried my best. I just want to get to the Buck's Fizz and roses part of Xmas now.

Skyland · 11/12/2014 08:43

Twitched again. I am a nightmare at Christmas. Now awaiting peppa and George cuddly toys and an 8 foot Xmas tree from sale in house of fraser. And winter jackets in sale for the kids for NEXT YEAR. Am now completely done.

Rugbylovingmum · 11/12/2014 09:51

I went to tesco after work and spotted a cute pink dinosaur cuddly toy for £4. DD2 has asked for pink dinosaur pj's (which are proving to be a bloody nightmare to find) and so I thought I'd put the cuddly toy with her PJs on Xmas eve. Then I had to find something for DD1 so spotted a lovely ballerina bear for £8. Then I worried that DD2 would prefer the ballerina toy as she does ballet too so picked up a ballet mouse from the same set so I could put the ballet toys in their stockings. Still needed a Xmas eve toy for DD1 so found a cuddly Santa to match her PJs. Somehow a £4 bargain toy turned into £25 worth of teddies they'll love opening but will then probably disappear into the toy box. I have a problem!
