Skylanders Trap Team starter edition is back in stock at Tesco for £36. It's £45-50 elsewhere.

margaritasroastingbyanopenfire · 13/12/2014 08:50

Lego Research Institute is back on stock on Lego website. Does anyone have a free delivery code? Wink

RJnomore · 13/12/2014 08:56

Disaster again here.

Just about to head off to idea, an hour away (I'm waiting for dd1 to sort her hair Hmm)

We go for a Xmas tree with voucher and a breakfast every year. I like to be there early to avoid the traffic.

I decide to check online that I had the opening times right and they are sold out. Im sure we always go two weekends before as I don't like the tree up before then. I'm not happy and now I will need to pay twice the price at a nursery won't I?

I'm turning into the grinch here.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 13/12/2014 09:04

for everyone looking for furry throws try the dunhelm teddy bear range - they are amazingly soft and furry. Grin they even have slippers and dressing gowns! !

meerschweinchen · 13/12/2014 09:09

Finally got my photos ready to do photo gifts - not sure exactly what, but thinking along the lines of a photo calendar. Anyone spotted any good deals?

Also, dc1 (aged 4) has finally written his Christmas list. His main wish is for a balloon.Smile I think he means a helium one. I can't really buy this in advance can I, as it will deflate? Not really sure what to do...

Amazon have sets of 5 x 100gm green n blacks chocolates for 7.50 as add on item so need to make up to £10 for free delivery - loads of different ones Inc Maya gold which is my fav.

LinzerTorte · 13/12/2014 09:57

SLEIGH gives free delivery on orders over £10 at the Book People until midnight tomorrow.

janx · 13/12/2014 09:57

Does anyone know where I can get small glass bottles cheaply. I am going to make some flavoured vodka

Chocolateteabag · 13/12/2014 09:57

Meer - the foil balloons last for a few days. You could order one to pick up on 23rd/24th and it would still be fine until the weekend at least
We had them for DH's 30th and they went on forever or until the helium was sucked out

WildFlowersAttractBees · 13/12/2014 09:58

RJ go the place at the cattle market.... my parents got theirs yesterday morning and it is a cracker!

DrankSangriaInThePark · 13/12/2014 09:58

meer- 3x 1 Vistaprint (but quality not as good as others IME and they add on ££££s so are always more expensive than they at first seem)

Virtually everyone is discounting though, Snapfish, Bonusprint, Photobox, the lot of them. ( MUST do mine this weekend!)

In other news:

I decided not to buy a Thorntons Hamper this year, so just got 3 boxes of heritage Continental (the ones with the apricot parfait back in nom nom) on £10 off from £30 to £20, then on 3 x 2, then adding BGIA for a further 20%, so 3 boxes which should have been £90 RRP for £32 delivered.

WildFlowersAttractBees · 13/12/2014 10:00

meerschweinchen you could order it now and collect on the 24th. We got one on Dec 1st last year and had to pop the thing on Jan 4th!

andadietcoke · 13/12/2014 10:13

Janx last year I got mine from World Of Bottles but delivery took a few days as they come from Germany. This year I've bought some jars with seals and clips from Ikea and some small Kilner bottles from Dunelm Mill. Think they might have been £2 each, the Ikea ones were less than a quid.

meerschweinchen · 13/12/2014 10:21

Ooh, great idea about ordering and then collecting! Thank you. Don't know why that didn't occur to me myself, as a large proportion of my shopping has been click and collect!

Off to investigate photo deals now - thanks for the suggestions. Will report back if I find any good deals.

Moltenpink · 13/12/2014 10:33

meerschweinchen I got one of these for DS birthday, it was good, your house would be full of balloons though!

Asda balloon kit

bryonyelf · 13/12/2014 10:53

As a note, yodel have suspended collections for 2 days due to backlogs. Their main clients are amazon and marks and spencer.

Badvocinapeartree · 13/12/2014 10:59

Aldi have the lego bricksmaster books (rrp £20) in for £7.
Got ds2 a lego Star Wars one.
Also got some nice potted amaryllis for gifts too at £5.

GemmaPuddledDuck · 13/12/2014 11:06

Is the y6 'gardener' some kind of buddy system to pair up each reception child with a y6?

NorbertDentressangle · 13/12/2014 11:10

Re: photo calendars

I've just done one for my Mum for &8 including P&P.

Its from Bonusprint via Money Saving Expert

Basically using the link on MSE you buy an £8 voucher and Bonusprint email you a code. You then just make the calendar online (really easy to upload photos from laptop and drag to whichever page, change size etc), input the code and hey presto. Mine arrived in less than a week too.

NorbertDentressangle · 13/12/2014 11:10

oops that should be £8

Iggi999 · 13/12/2014 11:15

Vistaprint use Yodel. I see my calendars are out for delivery, but I won't hold my breath (needed one for today Sad )

queenoftheschoolrun · 13/12/2014 11:57

DD just announced she would like the Sylvanian cow family for Christmas, not the cat family as previously requested and which I bought at a bargainous price and is all wrapped up in my wardrobe. They're £16 on Amazon and I don't know if I can bring myself to pay that much. On the other hand it is Christmas and she hasn't asked for much!

RJnomore · 13/12/2014 12:19

Dd2 and I ate off to the cattle market this afternoon then thanks wildflowers.

We all went to the stage door for breakfast this morning to cheer me up from my no Christmas tree funk. Highly recommended!

AuntieMaggie · 13/12/2014 12:49

FFS Angry our ikea is out of trees too - bloody dp if it weren't for him we'd have bought it by now and it's the first year our branch has done the offer and I have feck loads of stuff to buy there too over the coming months. dp has loads of making up to do after making me live in a building site for months.

Thank you RJ though for posting about it cos otherwise I'd have gone there and been pissed off instead of checking online.
