No exciting thread title this time I’m afraid...

As previously, if you shot a link in the OP links isn’t working/no longer in date, please let me know by posting in bold so I can easily see to update Thanks

If I’ve missed anything good from any last threads onto the list please let me know.

darksangria wrt the soap and glory stuff....

Its nice but I really don't think the set is worth the money they charge. Each year there is less and less stuff in it for the same price. The best stuff from the range isn't included either! You'd be better off going and treating yourself to a few of the individual items on the luxury bathing 342!

OhCuntmasTree · 12/12/2014 13:11

but since i work for boots I should probably encourage you to go and buy the set....

DilysMoon · 12/12/2014 13:12

Elvish I've just had the same message after complaining. Glad they've refunded but wanted that fur throw!! Angry

tipsyloolah · 12/12/2014 13:14

Yes moderation that's just what I mean! I'm going scatty looking at reviews, and I need four Sad Sad Sad. Is the Aldo one quite big? Some of the reviews moan about the size of a few.

ModerationInEverything · 12/12/2014 13:16

tipsyloolah yes the Aldi one covers all of the people on a 3 person sofa quite comfortably. I had a look on the Lidl website and I couldn't see theirs but I definitely saw it on a poster in store this week.

tipsyloolah · 12/12/2014 13:20

I'm sorted for a beanbag now - maybe not cheap but the loveliest, most helpful customer service at greatbeanbags.com if anyone is looking (beautifulbeanbags on the other hand, were dreadful).

tipsyloolah · 12/12/2014 13:22

Sorry, meant Aldi Moderation! My nearest one is an hour away but the cheapest decent online version seems to be £40. It is available for £30 in one place but the £8 delivery seems to be per item, which is rubbish . . .

DrankSangriaInThePark · 12/12/2014 13:25

Grin at Cuntmas (great name btw!) Was thinking of Stroppy Niece who frankly, is lucky to get anything with the miserable face she pulls all year round.

LinzerTorte · 12/12/2014 13:28

The Bepoke Amazon offer didn't go through for me. Just went back to try again and it's sold out. Sad

RosieBdy · 12/12/2014 13:56

Oooh tipsy that was me asking about Christmas pasta! Thank you Xmas Grin thank you! I know where I' m going tomorrow then!

wibblyjelly · 12/12/2014 14:48

Costco are doing 4 noxes of lindt chocolate balls for about £10 inc vat. They were also giving out samples, and were very generous with them, meaning that we got given practically the whole contents of a box as well :-)

DandyMott · 12/12/2014 15:48

Waaa I'm also waiting for my furry throw and will be gutted if it's a cheap fleece thing. Sad will def email and complain if it's not the one promised but I'm not holding out much hope it will be.

divabroad · 12/12/2014 15:50

My 23pounds Thorntons Family feast hamper arrived. It's ok for the money but no way I paid £50 for it. Also received email from Allboxedup re beauty box, it will be despatched soon apparently. Now I need beads with alphabet on for loom bands, anyone know where I can get them? Please help I hoped DD was over loom bands but now need these alphabet beads for bracelet!

306235388 · 12/12/2014 16:07

Diva - any kind of beads? Tesco sell letter ones in the craft section

bluesky · 12/12/2014 16:10

Free delivery if you spend over £50

DrankSangriaInThePark · 12/12/2014 16:25

For the first time in 5 years I am actually thinking of not getting a Thornton's Hamper for the family......I think the quality has gone down, not of the Continentals, but of all the other bits and bobs you get in the hampers. Think I will just get some stuff on the 3 x 2 which you can also add a code to, at the mo there is BGIA for 20% and that is working apparently on everything.

PamelaEwing · 12/12/2014 16:41

bookwormbeagle I do have a few Matalan voucher codes left for £10 off a £30 spend online and click n' collect. Will PM you the code.

I can also vouch for snuggly warm dressing gowns in TKMaxx as well as Dorothy Perkins.

janx · 12/12/2014 16:42

Thanks to the poster who flagged up superdrug MUA offer. Just got some nice pressies

Mipe · 12/12/2014 16:45

Clr2014 I haven't found any good printable instructions for the Google goggles but just told DH to google 'Google cardboard', there are lots of videos on how to put it together and he worked it out quite quickly Smile.

ModerationInEverything · 12/12/2014 17:00

tipsyloolah I have found the Lidl catalogue, available from Thursday 11th December they are selling one which is 1.8m x 1.3m, 6 heat settings, brown one side/cream the other, 3 year guarantee for £29.99. Might be worth calling to check first because I think different stores have different special offers.

DandyMott · 12/12/2014 17:26

Alas my throw is a microfibre fleece and not the faux fur that was promised. I have emailed. Hopefully I will get a refund.

WannaSplitAPineapple · 12/12/2014 18:09

Thanks for all the dressing gown suggestions. I begrudge getting it from dotty ps as seen as they had such good discounts last weekend. I'll try tk maxx in the morning and m&s. Luckily we have them both practically on our doorstep. The surfdome ones look good but Dsis is very tall so they may be a bit short.

Oh and now I need to go to lidl to look for pasta!

Can't believe you were all send fleecy blankets not the fur ones. Fleece wouldn't even compare!

TenMinutesEarly · 12/12/2014 18:30

Lots of lovely ciate gift sets in tk maxx. I bought ds' gardener a chalkboard nail varnish set. I also got a big taxi set with 3 full size lovely colours. Both around the £6 mark.

iloveholidays · 12/12/2014 18:35

Has anyone managed to get the 5 off 10 amazon code working?

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 12/12/2014 18:43

yes Iloveholidays I linked up to my amazon account about 30mins ago and so its credited.
