Lol. glen actually didn't go for BF just haven't had a Chaobaby for a while. :)
Coincidentally parked near boots which was a good thing as if done our usual Debenhams end I wouldn't have gone down and I knew I had to brave Primark at least once before Xmas so that's that done PLUS a few quid off the ipad so have 'achieved' :)

ipswichwitch · 28/11/2014 19:19

mamapants I highly recommend the mini stollen bites from lidl. I may or may not be on my 3rd packet already Blush

I also got a selection box of pates (was either 6 or 8 pots) for £3.99 which DH is impressed with. TBH I've never got anything bad from there.

20% off at Selfridges with code SELF20. Ends on Sunday

janx · 28/11/2014 19:24

Sorry that should have been SELF14

OhCuntmasTree · 28/11/2014 19:26

I'm really really chuffed with my trainer bargain so had to share!!!

Budget was £50 for his trainers.

Had a look at the [[http://www.dcshoes-uk.co.uk/mens/ Dc shoes website]] and they are offering an extra 40% off their sale section with the code BLACKFRIDAY40, so managed to buy both myself and him a pair of trainers each for £48!

Thank you to whoever suggested the vans... He complained about vans because they "look too plimsolly" Hmm

PoopPoooDeDooo · 28/11/2014 19:28

Oh no I missed the John Lewis Paperwhite! Amazon are still £109 Sad

Dirtydancer · 28/11/2014 19:41

Got an email from adidas with a discount code for an extra 30% off and it works on sale items too. Free delivery also. I presumed it was a one off code but just seen the exact code on HUKD.

callofthewild I could have written your post! I too bought dh an iPad mini from John Lewis. I received the confirmation email, but worded to the effect that it's not guaranteed until I get the dispatch email. Really hoping I actually get it... I did just check the JL website, and one colour had sold out, but the other still had 1 in stock. So given that we placed our orders much earlier this morning, hopefully we'll get them!

I did worry a bit about it being the basic model, esp as my dh is quite tech savvy... Saying that, he doesn't currently own any type of tablet and I know he'd really like one. So hoping he'll be pleased.

Just had an email from wauwau (Think I bought something from there using a discount from this thread actually Smile) Anyway, they're doing 50% off a £60 spend using the code BFwau50. It's only for the first 100 customers , so no idea if it still works. After that, try BFwau35 or BFwau20, for 35 and 20% off.
They have lots of lovely children's clothes, toys and equipment.

snow glow elsa

Hope that helps someone.

Callofthewild · 28/11/2014 19:53

meer - I've now had an email from JL saying "We are sorry to advise that your recent order is currently out of stock and will not be available to fulfil as anticipated. We are working towards ensuring you receive your order within the next 14 days and you will receive a notification when this is due for despatch." I don't think it sounds very promising... Wish I hadn't pondered for so long this morning before 'buying' it Sad

meerschweinchen · 28/11/2014 20:01

Oh no Sad

I've not heard anything yet. It's a bit odd that they then go on to say they'll try to get it to you within 14 days. Fingers crossed they do!

JetJungle · 28/11/2014 20:03

Who was looking for a deep fat fryer?

£29.99 with free delivery -- RRP £69.99

queenbrunhilda · 28/11/2014 20:05

Looking for a cheap basic laptop for DD - anyone seen anything?

ModerationInEverything · 28/11/2014 20:11

OhCuntmasTree Thanks for the DC shoes link. Just got DS some trainers for £14.40 delivered! Flowers

OhCuntmasTree · 28/11/2014 20:14

Picked up a catalogue from Claire's today and the code in the back is 5nhy for £5 off a £20 spend. Think its generic cuz its in the back of the magazine!

Prizepudding · 28/11/2014 20:29

Just watching Martin Lewis on tv nd he reckons soap and glory at boots will be on the 12th December, not sure if this has already been mentioned on the thread. but know it is always popular

LucyTheValiant the paperwhite kindle is worth spending the extra for as its lighter in weight and the screen is back lit and looks just like a book page rather than a screen so there is no glare or the associated problems with looking at a screen just before bedtime. I love mine and recommend it to everyone!

queenbrunhilda · 28/11/2014 20:37

It's actually making my blood pressure rise watching my fb newsfeed filled with plebs fighting in supermarkets over tellies.

Plebs?!? Buddy: are you Andrew Mitchell joining us in search of bargains following outcome of libel case?

LittleMissGreen · 28/11/2014 20:47

Lucythevaliant I had a thread on chat earlier today about which kindle to buy. The overwhelming verdict - if you wanted it just for reading and no apps was to go for the kindle paperwhite.

LittleMissGreen · 28/11/2014 20:52

I got the paperwhite in PC World for 89 and free delivery - think that price until middle of next week as black tab rather than black friday
