Are there any in particular you would recommend?

OP posts:

Home Alone.
I know it's a well known film but its not really associated with Christmas!
It has such a feel good Christmassy ending! We watch it every year.

JubJubBirds · 24/10/2014 14:23

Muppets Christmas Carol.

Its amazing and I won't hear a word said against it.

CelibacyCakeAndElevatorMuzac · 24/10/2014 14:24

Home Alone is a Christmas film, surely?? Confused Grin

A Christmas Story - watched it as a child, I loved it. Haven't watched it since.

CelibacyCakeAndElevatorMuzac · 24/10/2014 14:25

I'm now singing "after all there's only one more sleep til Chri-is-mas" "JubJub"

Angelto5 · 24/10/2014 14:28

I love rom-coms like-
The holiday
The family stone
While you were sleeping

Also can't go wrong with die hard Grin

Wilf83 · 24/10/2014 14:29

'Home Alone not associated with Christmas' ????? What planet are you on?! I've even seen a Christmas card that says 'happy Christmas you filthy animal'Grin

elQuintoConyo · 24/10/2014 14:30

Meet Me in St Louis (also good for Hallowe'en!)

Annabelle's ish (she's a cow)

But nothing - NOTHING - beats DIE hard Grin

elQuintoConyo · 24/10/2014 14:31

^^ Wish, not ish!

CelibacyCakeAndElevatorMuzac · 24/10/2014 14:33

Oh yes - Die Hard!! Truly Christmassy Grin

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 24/10/2014 14:34

Jingle All The Way Grin.

Vastly underrated in my humble opinion. I also love Muppets Christmas Carol and Christmas With The Kranks.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 24/10/2014 14:35

Oh, and Elf!

MizLizLemon · 24/10/2014 14:36

Bad Santa, but NOT to watch with the DCs. Arthur Christmas is a good family one tho.

brittanyfairies · 24/10/2014 14:36

gymboywalton · 24/10/2014 14:37

Quenelle · 24/10/2014 14:38

The 1966 animated How the Grinch Stole Christmas is one of our favourites.

Quangle · 24/10/2014 14:39

oh I love the sound of a Bishop's Wife. David Niven and Cary Grant...perfection. Must get hold of that one.

LemonDrizzleTwunt · 24/10/2014 14:51

www.imdb.com/title/tt0180691/

www.imdb.com/title/tt1119146/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_10

Oh, and the Tailor of Gloucester Smile

momb · 24/10/2014 14:59

Gremlins

momb · 24/10/2014 15:02

'The Bishop's Wife' is lovely. Do not be tempted by dodgy remake 'The Preacher's Wife': even Denzel Washington as Dudley couldn't save it....

Angelto5 · 24/10/2014 15:03

Yy defiantly gremlins.
How about trading places?

The 80's knew how to do a good Xmas film Smile

morethanpotatoprints · 24/10/2014 16:18

Mrs Christmas with Angela Landsbury - Great for feminists and a good storyline.
Very cheap can pick up for a few quid, got ours from Morrisons.

Muppet xmas carol - still the best imo

ConstantlyCooking · 24/10/2014 16:18

Greatest Store in the World - it was on TV about ten years ago. A homeless family move into a dept store over Christmas.

lunar1 · 24/10/2014 16:25

I still love one magic christmas.

NorrisCole · 24/10/2014 16:39

I loved Christmas Mail and Lucky Christmas.

They are really cheesy but I enjoyed them Grin
