Right I have a Problem.

I need a my little pony equestria girls doll. Every year I ask dd2 what is the one thing she would really want from Santa if she could only have one thing and every year she picks something at £20 bless her.

This year is an Adagio Dazzle doll, it's not on amazon, it's in the Argos catalogue but as one of three dolls sharing the same code. I've been to my local Argos and they don't have it. Obviously I can't check if its in other ones without going in person.

The only other place that seems to have it is smyths and again it's one of three "dolls that rock" that share an order code. If anyone lives near a smyths, and will be there, would you look for me and let me know if they have adagio dazzle in or just the other two?

Picked up my frozen tins and lip gloss/hair bobble sets from tesco. Love them!
Also used my throw and will be toasty all winter. Don't think I'd have paid loads for it as the quality isn't great but it'll pass and I've someone with a dog who's getting the other one and I know she'd be horrified if I have her a really expensive one as the dog couldn't get near it! So it's perfect for her.
Also had a fab load of books from book people so starting to look much better present wise.

Oh don't worry IHope, I think most of us have a 'spare' child or two purely for bargain purposes
I'd get applying quick smart an have their birthday pretty soon (maybe a months time?) as it took a while for them to send me my code.
Otherwise, I'd be tempted to apply then ring next week and ask if they can send it on any quicker (depending on how quickly you need your code).

I added a real child 2 weeks before her birthday and didn't get one.

rj, I had exact same problem with equestria girls, so silly that they only have one code. My local argos were absolutely fab, they checked their own stockroom and when they didn't have the one I wanted they phoned around the nearest stores until they tracked one down for me and they reserved it for me. They were especially great as I wanted the doll in the 3 for 2 offer so they told me to buy my original 2 toys, plus a wrong equestria girl from them so that I'd get the 3 for 2 then just swap the equestria girls over at the other store. Theu explained this to the other store over the phone so they knew I was coming and what I was doing and they had the doll there at the till ready to swap. I've always been really pleased with the customer service at argos so if you explain to the cashier that you're looking for a particular eq girl they might help yoy out.

I did explain iready and all I got was some rather blank looks - no offers of help. Had to go through things very slowly to even get them to check their own stock! No suggestion of being able to check elsewhere.

Oh my goodness!! I had a baby on Saturday and lost the threads... Feel like I've missed loads of bargains!!!!

While trying to catch up I saw somebody recommend Lush gift boxes. I'm a massive fan of lush but you need to be careful with gift boxes. They are beautiful but in some cases that's all you are paying for is the packaging. The contents on their own are actually cheaper bought separate and wrapped yourself. Id research online before deciding which to buy. I'll also recommend Cinders bath bomb... its so Christmassy - and would make the perfect addition to a christmas eve box for yourself ( Golden wonder or Lord of Misrule are better for the kids though!)
