HopeAndStories was that tray from Home Bargains? It's great just what I'm after.

Trisis where did you get your blow up walking stick from please?

Notso · 01/10/2014 13:33

Also Dragonboobs how small are the PJ's? My 2 year old is small, still in 18-24 months but my 3 year old is huge in 4-5 years Confused

dustybinlydia · 01/10/2014 13:48

I have a 9 year old girl for, and don't particularly want to spend a lot. If I could get something for a £5 that LOOKS like it cost more, that would be great Smile

dustybinlydia · 01/10/2014 13:50
  • 9 Year old girl to buy for, that should say.
TeWiSavesTheDay · 01/10/2014 14:07

I was being a bit hesitant about the Google cardboard because someone said the securehttp lock hadn't come up - just to reassure any other paranoid people like me it was there on the payment pagesSmile

Really excited about those! Perfect for 3 techy people fingers crossed for them working in their phones! If anyone tries it on an iPhone or HTC1, please will you post how it goes?

TeWiSavesTheDay · 01/10/2014 14:17

Just realised how daft it is that I am ordering something from America to wrap and send back to American relative...

Royal mail postal dates released now: www.royalmail.com/greetings

Dragonboobs · 01/10/2014 14:25

He's 2 and 4m and is also in 18-24 month stuff. He's skinny which these are perfect for. They also reminded me of gap because their stuff has always has fitted him well and seems smaller than most places.

Not sure how much bigger the 3-4 would be. But judging by these sets the bottoms would be way too long for him.

Hope that helps.

Groupon have photo personalised playing cards for £5.99. Could be a good gift for a parent or in-law that like playing cards?

Sorry can't link on mobile but go to Groupon main site and type "playing cards" and they come up :)

supermariossister · 01/10/2014 14:26

NuttyCluster · 01/10/2014 14:28

DuelingFanjo · 01/10/2014 14:33

hopeandstories here's a link to the Google cardboard thingy I just ordered 2 but for someone with an android phone so now worried it's going to be defunkt?

BuddyKringleberry · 01/10/2014 14:37

If you have a boy that likes turtles and lego, it's worth keeping an eye on your local Argos clearance and Tesco clearance for TMNT lego as they must be bringing out a new range and reducing the old stock big time. In Argos I got a £50 set for £25, and two £30 sets for £14 & £15. In Tesco today I got a £25 set for £6.25. Chuffed with that x

mabelbabel · 01/10/2014 14:37

dusty I've just bought these earrings:

From a link posted by loaderloader yesterday.

Only if the 9 yo has pierced ears, obviously!

306235388 · 01/10/2014 14:37

Or if she likes 1D this

DuelingFanjo · 01/10/2014 14:41

fish shaped shell combs for budding mermaids.

TrisisFour · 01/10/2014 15:03

Notso, about a million threads ago there was a link to it, but it's on amazon. If you search 'inflatable walking sticks' there are a number on there all the same. It's the standard brown one I bought. I paid £1.14 for it. They also do inflatable zimmer frames Smile.

Mum2Pea, glad you asked about the globe. DD(5) has been asking for one and the one Elvish posted looks fab!! That's a pressie for my DSis to buy for her, she was looking for ideas - sorted! Thanks

EustaciaVye · 01/10/2014 15:10

momwhereismy · 01/10/2014 15:24

ilovelamp82 · 01/10/2014 15:26

They had some Christmas stuff out in Ikea Bristol this morning.

BuddyKringleberry · 01/10/2014 15:30

mom it was shredders bike 79101. Definitely keep your eyes peeled in clearance sections as it's seems to big a coincidence that I got three sets massively reduced and all TMNT. Hope you managed to find some too x

NorksEnormous · 01/10/2014 15:35

Buddy, Can you pleaselink to the argos £50 set down to £25? I can't seem to find it on the website! Thanks

Guitargirl · 01/10/2014 15:48

Mum2pea - my mum bought DD one of those flying fairy dolls ages ago but DD was a bit small for it then. We actually opened it last night to give it a try, it was bloody useless. The air was blue as I tried to follow the 'simple' instructions and then the string broke within minutes. I would not recommend unless very very cheap and could provide some novelty play for a short time.

Our two have asked for the tooth fairy game for Christmas, again it looks as though it would be a pile of rubbish in reality. Anyone have one and can confirm or deny whether it actually works?

craftynclothy · 01/10/2014 15:52

I got a few bits for the kids from the Paperchase sale today (in store). I also picked up pjs from Primark for the xmas eve hamper and some toothbrushes/paste from Superdrug. Also bought some chocolates and the like from Sainsburys on 3 for 2. I've managed to spend a LOT and don't feel i've finished anything Hmm

BuddyKringleberry · 01/10/2014 16:05

norks I got it by looking in my local argos clearance section. It was under the last in stock bit. If you go in store to the computer thingy and select clearance, toys, last in stock, that's where I found them. They didn't show up when I googled my local argos clearance. Hope you find some too x
