Dunno. Add some more cheese. And some pepper. Disguise is always the best answer Wink

HopeAndStories · 01/10/2014 16:30

Notso, yes, it's from Home Bargains and I've just found the receipt, it was £1.29. There were a few other designs too.

Thanks for the link DuelingFanj, I'll have a read and see if it's compatible.

I decided to go back to town and get some more sets of the 3x Nails Inc varnishes for £4.99. Then I went to B&M, New Look, Dorothy Perkins etc and spent a load more!

Another request for anyone who has tried the cardboard thingy with an iPhone. Dh & dd1 would like them

HopeAndStories · 01/10/2014 16:38

Oops I pressed send too soon!

I got lots of lovely Christmas gifts (mainly mugs and miniature wines for hampers) and decorations from B&M. I love how cheap that shop is!

Here's the rest of the photos I wanted to post earlier. I got a biscuit tin in the same design as the heart place mats, the bag is huge- perfect replacement of the giant gift bags that rip, and I also got a couple if the same design but they have zips. They are both from Home Bargains.

There was another set of nail varnishes too, though I can't remember what colours they were. I think they were that crackle stuff.

HopeAndStories · 01/10/2014 16:42

Oh, it doesn't say what phones that cardboard thing works with (unless I'm being blind which is likely!) Does anyone know if it does work with android?

issynoho · 01/10/2014 16:44

Update to the Hobbycraft bargains - 99p embroidery kits have arrived and are lovely, much bigger and more ££ looking.

Also happened into The Works today and they have faaaab stuff - best was £1.99 tins with playing cards, dice and book of games, all themed round Wonderwoman, Batman, Superman etc. Look way more expensive than £1.99. Can't link but on Works website at £5.99.

Also wooden solitaire sets £3.99, those pin board desk toys that take the shape of your hand, face etc £6.99, lots of plain wooden boxes, chests, etc for painting or deco patching.

HopeAndStories · 01/10/2014 16:45

Ignore that last post, I googled and it says it does :)

issynoho · 01/10/2014 16:46

iloveholidays · 01/10/2014 17:44

I've just had a stock alert to say Elsa Snow Glow doll is back in Stock at toys r us. was planning on using the £5 off code Birthday7 but got one in Smyths last night. They did say they all went straight back out!

dustybinlydia · 01/10/2014 17:44

Thanks for your suggestions 306 and Mabelbabel.

Unfortunately she doesn't have pierced ears otherwise those earrings would have been perfect.

I love the hat and mittens, but for someone else on my shopping list rather than her.

There is a bit of a back story, as to why I don't want to spend a lot.

The girl's mum has, in the past, organised Secret Santa and been very pushy about upping the budget to £20. She has then blatantly spent WAY less than that on me, when I KNOW she got my name in Secret Santa.
Deliberately used Secret Santa to get snidey sort of gifts for people....Can't really go into detail without outing myself.
Given me a re-gifted gift for my birthday which I know was re-gifted as I BOUGHT IT for HER years ago,,,.It.had "Use before 2011" stamped on the back! Grin

If anyone has any more ideas on what I can buy a 9 year old girl, that looks like it cost me more than a fiver I would appreciate them.

Thanks Smile
