We still don't have the tree up. It is in the garden in a bucket. Feeling very sorry for itself after last nights storm.

Best crack on. Going to wrap EVERYTHING else today. This will be the point I realise that I've left someone out.

Morning all. I'm still lurking about too. All my wrapping is done. I can't wait to see everyone's faces when they get impressed by what I've managed to get this year. All thanks to this thread.

Now I just need to clean the house and do some baking. Ds2 is the last to finish school tomorrow and then I'll have them all home with me. Time for fun!!

I'm so envious of you that have finished and wrapped. I was hoping to do mine this week but things have been so chaotic. I worry about wrapping when the dc are in bed in case they hear the Sellotape being pulled and the paper being cut etc and figure out that Santa doesn't bring the presents down the chimney :(. I think I'll be okay this year though because we have a couple of birthday parties between now and Christmas so I can say I'm wrapping birthday presents .

Btw gladvent that joico k pak stuff is really really lovely. I think it's a salon brand, they used to use it at the hair salon I went to years ago and I always looked forward to having my hair washed with it. I bought it a couple of times too an it was very expensive.

Quick poll! How many of you wrap the small stocking presents? Or do you leave them unwrapped?

I wrap all stocking presents except chocolate coins, walnuts and satsumas.

Father Christmas uses brightly coloured wrap with pictures of penguins, snowmen etc. I use brown paper and ribbon.

Father Christmas and I never use the same paper. I got caught out once and managed to pass it off as coincidence. Who knew children would be that observant in the middle of all that unwrapping?!

theonly I wrap everything except an orange and choc coins. FC presents are wrapped in paper with FC on, and I also never use the same paper as FC does :)

I also wrap everything except the chocolate and clementine. It lets DH and I wake up a little whilst they open their stockings at the end of our bed!

Same every thing but the orange but we wrap it in tin foil. I thought everyone did this until I joined Mn.

I'm still here . I've loved this thread from the start and made my Christmas affordable.
I wrap all stocking presents...just can't wait to see DD and DS faces now.
I am still on the hunt for the bear and hare but not holding much hope now!

might pop into wilko after work to see if I can get a couple of tree decorations half price.

Yippee, thanks to the lovely TillySwat I have Moshi stickers and tattoos to add to DD's pile

My Dove stuff has just arrived! Although it took forever to get here, I'm pretty pleased with it, lots of good sized bottles...I was going to give it to SIL but I might just keep it for me!

Ahhh anyone seen any reindeer costumes for pre schoolers. Ds has decided he wants to go as one tomorrow.

Today is a rubbish day! It would seem I've accidentally thrown out a bag of gifts for DM,DB and DDad and 2 friends

So my bargains are not so bargainous now I have to buy everything again (that I can ill afford!) for the higher price plus pay for quick delivery

OH NO Lego! Can you track it down somehow?

I've rung the local council, the rubbish collection department and the local recycling unit/tip...nowhere to be seen

Am gutted it contained the bloody fingerlights! ...I can't afford to replace most of it and tbh most of it wont get here in time...especially the bits off Etsy

Oh Lego that's awful, hope you can somehow get them back. Can we help try and find some things cheaply?

Well it must be SOMEWHERE. What bin did it go into. Can you assemble some helpers and turn up in person with rubber gloves to look for stuff?

Phone the local radio station. Ask them to ask people to keep their eyes out if they are going to the tip this week.

Thank you MrsLoveChristmas, but I've found a few bits on amazon and paid for quick delivery but the other bits were from Forbidden planet, Ebay, Etsy (a lovely personalised necklace for a friend of mine with her DC initials on...am SO gutted about this one) , amazon but different sellers, fragrance direct, the Great Plains stuff (Argh!) and John Lewis

We're supposed to be going to see Santa today with some friends and their DC and it's put me in a shit mood!

A dr who tshirt to look like the 1st doctors costume (forbidden planet)

A TON of Essie and OPI polishes (fragrance direct)

Perfume (also fragrance direct)

Finger lights, bunny light, personalised Ipad case, whisky stones and some other bits (Ebay)

Personalized necklace and credit card sized plaque thingy (Etsy)

Some beach hut tablemats (john lewis)

napkin dispenser (bhs)

and some bits for dads hamper

All are probably replaceable before xmas but will cost a fortune-essie polishes were £2 + 15% off but are £.799 everywhere else!

Just a word to the wise...don't store presents in a black bin bag the same time you're having a clear out!
