I just ordered some kiddies books from m&S used MIRACLE1 code and it took off the delivery and and a bit extra So I got 10 worth of stuff for £3.50 delivered. No idea how, but worth a go!

Toiletries from the Times, or was it the Telegraph, anyway they arrived today and I am v pleased. Would make lovely gifts but I am keeping this bargain for MEEEE :)

Calvin Klein lipstick & nails inc polish both in colours that I actually like. Mascara I have never heard of supposedly worth £19.99. Wierd sounding shampoo (Joico K Pak anyone?!) but smells nice. Elemis SOS cream and two big bottles of Pecksniffs stuff which I LOVE.

Argh. Two days left before school breaks up, one day to do a big costco/homebargains/m&s/poundland/etc shop and get the last bits and bobs in. One day when dh is off too to go to ikea, have a lunch out together, do a load of packing, sorting stuff out, make lists for food for next week, etc etc.

And then school rang before lunch to say that ds2 (5) had been sick, so obviously picked him up. So all plans cancelled, and christmas likely to descend into last minute chaos and panic again. hey ho. Best laid plans and all that! But at least this thread has helped me to manage to get a good chunk ahead of the game for less money than normal! And I've managed to get everything as a bargain so far - but suspect that last minute dashes to the shops will involve extra spending just to reduce the time needed to be out and about.

DrankSangria thanks for the tip off that I can still use Photobox! Been gathering up photos and will sit down and do the calendars tomorrow.

Today has been a horrendous running around day, with more of the same tomorrow. But on Sunday DH is taking DS out to shop for me so I can sit and watch a Christmas film and do some wrapping in peace

zipzap hope your DS is better soon. It's all a bit fraught at this stage and that somehow makes them more likely to be ill sometimes.

I was in Wilkinson's yesterday and their Christmas cards are half price and some decorations too (not lights as far as I could tell), I got DD a lovely heart, about 25-30cm high, made from little bells with ribbon to hang it up with for £2.50 down from £5 so was dead chuffed as she's wanting more grown up cushions and bits for her room and it's not specifically a Christmas item.

Thank you to Reastie and everyone else for posting fabulous bargain info over the months, I've saved £££ and also got enough presents for my DS's birthday later in the year.

Morning WaitMonkey I think it's because we have already picked up the best buys, everything is so expensive now! I'm just enjoying the knowledge my Family will have a fab one and I've now got the time to bake and do fun Christmas stuff. My friends and their kids were so amazed at the gifts I got for them, little did they know I spent less than normal. (We have a party where we all exchange gifts last weekend) loved this thread this year.

Sangria, you must update us on all the things you buy in a twitchy panic. I'm done now, thankfully. Don't need to step into an actual shop until next year. Though I do have food bits to collect, but I'm sending dh.

Panic! Ds2 annoced this morning that what he really wants from Santa is batman tattoos! There are some on eBay but most are delivery after Xmas. Anyone seen any in rl?

Just dropping in to say a massive Thankyou to reastie. I have been staying away from this thread the last couple of weeks as all shopping done a lot earlier than usual thanks to Mumsnet!

Wrapped all the kids presents last night and although I am skint they have got such impressive piles and a lot more than I thought I would be able to get them this year... they will be soooo happy!!!
