Oh wow, I feel all famous!! Xmas Grin

Reastie · 10/12/2013 19:33

I've been looking for a 2014 wall calendar for myself. If anyone has seen any particularly nice/good ones please let me know. Doesn't have to be bargainous. I've vair excited as I've never actually chosen my own wall calendar before, it usually gets thrust upon me as a christmas gift, but this year I am picking my own Grin . It's slightly sad I'm excited isn't it Blush

Oh and whoever mentioned the christmas flavourly box, I'm blaming you for the £10 I just spent buying it Grin . Hope it's good.

Oreo - glad DH is ok, I'm sure the tests will be fine but you must have been worried.

Amazon have this bus puzzle - www.amazon.co.uk/Funtime-Gifts-Crystal-Puzzles-London/dp/B00CKJAQLW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1386704196&sr=8-3&keywords=Bus+puzzle

A bit more than £5 but could be with you by Thursday

stripes1 · 10/12/2013 19:39

Count me in Xmas Grin

Coveredinweetabix · 10/12/2013 19:53

In case anyone is doing research for next year, I am very impressed with the quality of DD's Xmas jumper from Tesco. It's been washed & tumbled at least three times and has retained its shape well and is really soft. DS', which is from Primark, is not doing so well. It's definitely shrunk and looks quite worn. It also looks cheap & nasty.

WaitMonkey · 10/12/2013 19:58

I love a party. Hands out Wine Biscuit Cake and Bear.

Oreocrumbs · 10/12/2013 20:00

Reastie, if you are not bothered by price I would get the A3 poster calendar from photobox. £19.99 + £4.99 p+p.

I've used them for the last few years and they are very good.

I've decided to use snapfish this year, they have the 50% off code and 10% cb with quidco.

I'm just waiting to for the pics to finish uploading, but it looks like it will be a nice calendar, I've gone for the chalkboard frame.

Oreocrumbs · 10/12/2013 20:04

Feeling slightly less sympathy for DP now, he has just chuntered on about how not many people would be making their own tea and going back out to work after the day he had, while their wife sits on the sofa eating ice cream.

Well not many people are lucky enough to live with me are they now beloved Xmas Grin.

I'm up for a party too. I've just discovered some very naice wine from my late fathers fabulous collection hidden in my utility room!

Wine Wine Wine all round.

missmakesstuff · 10/12/2013 20:08

Jgulia I signed up for Beer52 in November, have had two boxes out of them and when the last turned up with some beers repeated, I emailed them and after two emails, they promised me another box for free - which chould have been dispatched today hopefully.

I would try again, although I wasn't that impressed with the beers as they are for Dh and he only really like ale, not many of those in the last one.

I thought we were done but just have a few last bits, now DH's work have just sprung on him secret santa, for someone he doesn't know, £10!

I have suggested he take one of my Sanctuary body butter sets, it would have been £7 originally, plus some chocs. She isn't to know I only paid £4 due to that boots glitch a while back!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 10/12/2013 20:12

ELC going to have the Happyland funfair back at £20 tomorrow morning, limited quantity though.

10thingsihateaboutpoo · 10/12/2013 20:15

Sorry posted too soon!

Has anyone seen any cheap PS3 controllers anywhere? DH wants one but they're £35 on amazon, ouch!!

Also anyone seen gary barlow's cd cheap?

I've still got somd 20% m&s codes (clothes, beauty, home) if anyone wants one?

500internalerror · 10/12/2013 20:16

Thanks for letting me know the free delivery code stripes.... The combo of the 2 codes has suited me very well for ordering a couple of books!

Elainey1609 · 10/12/2013 20:21

Thanks DrankSangriaInThePark for great ideas love the bauble one.
Think that's what I'm gonna do like skittle stocking with bits in.

Anyone got cheap ideas for mums as little extra

Also just a reminder that Asdas have 3 for 2 on mix and match books CDs snd DVDs.
I just bought a load of stuff and worked out quite abit cheaper than amazon despite each individual item being more expensive so worth a look

Also for people going out to Xmas parties and looking for last minute dress new look has some serious discounts on.
Just bought lovely one for £11.

And complete bargain just bought 3 advent calendars from asda for £0.50
Children are well impressed as we don't normally have a chocolate one so they didn't care it started late.

Rosvita · 10/12/2013 20:29

Just to say count me in for the party. When is it?
Also Anyone got a smyths code or know where I can get a wwe hell in a cell toy cage from for under 49.99?

HermioneWeasley · 10/12/2013 20:36

I've had a lovely evening circling things in the Xmas Radio Times. Ahhh, perfect.

RhondaJean · 10/12/2013 20:36

Yay party. Though I had an alcohol awareness session for one of the groups I work with on Friday ad discovered a single serving of baileys is 130 calories. I am now On The Wagon.

I will drive then.

Can't wait to get paid on Friday to buy the new flavourly box and the Kat bits and bobs I need.

Nb IM STILL LOOKING FOR XMAS CEREAL BOWLS none in morrisons here sorry to shout but if anyone sees any...

CatAmongThePigeons · 10/12/2013 20:42

Ooh a Christmas party Wine

I have no alcohol in the house at the moment, which makes me sad! So I shall have tea instead.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 10/12/2013 20:43

Rhonda where are you, and how many do you need? I will be at Morrisons on Friday/Saturday and could get and post some if you want?

MooseyMoo · 10/12/2013 20:46

I just used my bespoke M&S vouchers to buy this Xmas duvet for DD

Got it for £10 Xmas Grin

And I will admit again that I have never seen Sound of Music but just got the DVD from Lidl for £2.99. So I probably will have seen it 20 times before Xmas if DD likes it

Fluffytent · 10/12/2013 20:46

Does anyone know if you can can get stuff online at Thorntons and send to multiple addresses???

Trying to take advantage of 25% code and single items wouldn't qualify for free delivery

Reastie · 10/12/2013 20:54

Xmas knees up??? Oh, are we starting now? I'm just off to bed after a looonnnngggg day . Will have to see you all at the next party

oreo thanks for the photo calendar thing but thing is I don't want a photo calendar, I want a shop bought one, you know, like the Cliff Richard or whatever ones they make now adays (only soooooo not Cliff). Maybe something either very beautiful that definitely counts CLiff out then or very funny/trendy/ironic/retro. Past few years it's been all flowers and stately homes that people have got for me and getting a bit bored.
