Can some please just explain The Spicery thingy to me? Is it just packets of spices with recipes (as in, spices you can buy at the supermarket and recipes you can find online) or is there something else I'm missing? I can't see what the excitement is about them if that's it, but I haven't bought one myself so can't actually look :)

hallow we got the 3 month Spicery subscription last year. You get recipes - most stuff I have not heard of/tried (and we love cooking), spices. You have to buy ingredients. You get spices for main and dessert (well, the one we signed up for is) and is for 4 people. We invite friends over to have dinner and experiment with the cooking. My fave so far has been Louisiana dirty rice (was with salmon). If you like something you can reorder the spices at reduced price.

Hope that helps. DH loved it so much he reorderd for a year.

I need some help! My lovely Christmas ribbon hasn't arrived and I can't order more as its coming from china so wouldn't get here in time. Can anyone find me some that isn't silly money. I'm using brown paper and I'm going for traditional red and gold. Ideally at least 2cm in width.

Jumper dress is now £4 - how weird!

I just bought two £4 jumper dresses - tried to go through Quidco but they won't come up on PC. Tried from phone and they were there. How odd!

Am off sick today so not able to send the multi tool instructions out, but I will catch up with PMs tomorrow. If anyone needs them urgently then a couple of MNers have them already but I can't remember who - anyway I don't mind anyone passing them on.

Did anyone else order the Studio Ghibli boxset from one of the earlier threads?

It's been a month now and i've not received it. I emailed them a few days ago and no repsonse.....

Not a bargain, but a good friend's husband has had a heart attack and is in icu. He's only about 45 and very fit, so hopefully will be fine.

I'd like to send something to her. What do you think I should send- flowers, chocolate, a little hamper?

I was swaying towards hamper so she has a treat to nibble when she feels like it.
What do you think?

Also any links to make it bargainous? Will spend £30-£50.

Oh I like the John lewis stuff thanks moosey. There is a lidl by DS's nursery so ill nip in there when I go get him. I looked on ebay but the ones I liked were all coming from china and wouldn't get here in time.
